Ah, I so enjoyed this episode! So intense! Even more intense than the previous one ( loved when Ginzo-san was a little shaken by the old man, it was about time someone made him shut up -.- even though he is not such a bad guy, he should remember he is a human being -oh, wait, the new system does not by any chance imply that people should act as full of flaws human beings, au contraire... self control is the key word -in order to survive in such a new, refreshing, frightening world).
Anyhow, this episode was surely intense. My favourite up till now. I have to say the Makishima guy (white... pure guy, what was that all about? nice line though!) is a very nice character. I wonder what's that all about, about him being able of actually avoiding the Dominator's tough check. Oh, I supposed the time would come when their little machines would fail to do their job properly, but it still was weird: just before killing Yuki-chan, Makishima had the Crime Coefficient down to zero. That's way too peculiar! I have some suppositions, one of them being that he might actually be able of controlling his intent, other that he doesn't really have criminal intent, but rather his ”intent” is quite different and there is some fucked-up biological wire in his head that doesn't connects where it usually does. Actually, I do think he's a little psycho. There sure is a mistake out there: something is wrong, the system -as we all know it- can be easily drawn out as being wrong, but what's that, how is it possible that Mikishima can avoid it? I am soooo curious to find out about it! can't wait for the new episode -as a matter of fact, I'm just on my way to each it. Good lord, shouldn't have discovered this anime at the end of the semester when I'm actually supposed to study for upcoming exams *takes a deep breathe*
About Akane... ah, I felt a little sorry for her, also angry. I wanted her to show more self-control, but I think my expectations were too high and clearly not in concordance with reality. She wouldn't be able to have excellent self-control by now because she hasn't yet faced any real situation in which she had to act upon those premises. Anyhow, I have hopes for her in the future: will she turn out to be an Enforcer, or is she going to maintain her ...cloud... as white as Makishima, but not on the same premises? Really curious here.
Just one thing, though : it is true that she was truly shaken by the fact that the Dominator didn't work correctly on Makishima (as we all were, in the end), but it is also true that she isn't the one who'd actually sustain that the system is as good as it can be (she clearly had some doubts in previous episodes, not listening to what Inspector Ginzo was saying and wanting to think and experience circumstances by herself... therefore, I might have thought she'd react surprised, but now as shocked as this.
Goddamn, I am so curious about what's going to happen next.
I also liked the way the old man treated her. He is certainly a kind fellow, with a lot of experience and probably doesn't want Akane to become one of them - so he's taking good care of her. But Kougami seems to do quite the same thing in his own way.
Kougami! Oh, he was just great in this episode. But he is aways great. His killer intent does frighten me, as a matter of fact (and I surely like it ; can't wait for him to meet with Makishima, face to face, eyes to eyes - I wonder how cool it would actually be :3
anyway, he's a strong fellow, an interesting fellow, but now I am more interested in Makishima and Akane.
Also, the scene with Yuki getting killed was really intense and very well made. I really enjoyed it.
now, now, let's watch the next episode! |
