| Well what to do with life? People have always asked themselves that very same question. Currently I am in university as well, not entirely sure of my future. I live to find out more about myself, to seek pleasure and happiness and to seek wisdom that may allow me to understand just a fraction of what life is. At times where I am unsure of what to do or why I am here; I try to help others find whatever they are seeking. If none speaks to you, then enjoy life in the way you prefer. Do whatever it is that makes you happy and do not think of it as time wasted, but simply as one of many experiences. Perhaps one does keep going just because of pure inertia, rest assured that it will change. |

| Ok so basically gonna just ignore all recent posts since it has broken down to sniping at each other (which I do ALL the time, don't think for a second I am looking down on this behavior, just ... tired I guess and don't want to wade through seven pages for someone who has said something so ignorant and not been called out on yet to pick an argument with... curse my Irish genes) Anyways I am gonna start by saying that if you sort of loathe society in general, you are probably already going to be thinking that any answer someone gives on how they get by from day to day, or an assessment on your current situation, is nothing but a pile of crap (which tbh, with something as personal and individualized as your motivation, is probably a correct assumption) however... I would say that my way of getting by from day to day is literally just about filling in the boredom... I do mean this quite literally, the reason I wake up the next morning is to do something that isn't boring, the reason I go to college isn't because I find the classes interesting but so I can live a life that isn't boring (doing double shifts of flipping burgers your whole life isn't my idea of a fun time). I would say this is sort of a basic human trait probably, more than anything else out there we avoid being bored, the solution presents itself in alot of different ways (watching anime for example), but basically I see life like one giant game to avoid boredom. Now this kind of makes my life seem extremely trivial (though being one random fucker out of 6,000,000,000 people ... It kind of is) but I am also oversimplifying my idea of what it means to avoid boredom. Boredom to mean includes things like being hungry, therefore I eat or having to go to the dentist to get cavities filled therefor I brush my teeth. Basically boredom is any situation I deem unfavorable and of course is very specific to my own opinion. As for why your life seems gray ... It might stem from too much stimulation through things like movies/games/anime/etc. where you feel actual life is boring compared to it ... I do however, well I have found sort of ... less than moral ways to get around this but it will eventually pick up (maybe). Also just a comment on people judging you, I am pretty sure that by assuming that they are judging you, you are judging them, unless you walk in with a fucking mohawk or something they probably just heard footsteps, looked up to see who it was, and when realized it wasn't the teacher or a friend went back to doing whatever the fuck they were doing. Also I think you are reading wayyy too deeply in to things. |
