Why was that last bit of the manga omitted? I found it "cute" in a sense. Nice endings are always good (usually lol).
Other than that, the anime was quite faithful (95% I'd say) to the manga. And it was good, so yeah.

That next project is probably a bonus episode in the BD's or some OVA or whatever.

Yuno's dead.
Wait, Yuno's dead.
Yuno's dead.
Yuno's dead.
Yuno's dead...

My precious Yuno is... dead...dead...dead...dead...dead... dead!!!!!

Anyway... I like the ending, just now I've seen the part after the ending where the future diary text changes... oh, that feels better now.
This is a good ending.
I don't really think there's going to be a second series and i don't really get the point of a second season... it's good as it is. The anime was gorgeous. I loved it. I enjoyed every part of it... and the ending is cool, is ok now that I understood it better, I like it :)) that text from the future diary that changed in the end... oh, that was beautiful, I felt so sad when Yuki said that all he's leff was that damn last future diary...

and all the people ended up pretty happily, right? I mean... I guess the Yuno from the third world is going to go and see the Yuki God... or something, meh, who knows, even after it ended, the anime makes you think: what's next?!

I loved it!

Happy ending for 3rd world, but they're not the one we should rate, because from the beginning of the series, we've been always watching characters from 2nd world, so i guess this is a sad ending..

Sad ending. ;A; But it was pretty cute when Yukki saved the third world Yuno while hugging the other one. <3
"You chose me over a world of happy dreams."
I'll probably read the manga now.

So everyone lives happily ever after in the 3rd world, and Yuki pouts for 10000 years. It just felt...boring really. I guess this wasn't the kind of series where I wanted to see a happy ending, and watching Yuki look pathetic wasn't satisfying either. Personally, I liked the 2nd Yuno twist, but I would have liked to see the story resolved without the 3rd world. Things just started to get way too convoluted after jumping back in time. Overall, I'd say it was a good series with some good characters and some great moments, but an underwhelming ending. I'll give it an 8.5/10, and round up to 9 since I'd probably recommend the series to most people anyway.

That pretty much sums up everything I think about it. Only that I gave an 8.

Could anyone send me PM where I could check out the other endings from the game? I'm kinda interested in that stuff but I did not like the series enough to play the game (let alone have enough time to do so).

Pretty much this. I was expecting/hoping to get smashed in the face by this ending, and it was just utterly underwhelming.

Didn't help that my friend kept going on about how it was a Moffat-style ending so I kept holding out hope for an epic turnaround until time ran out on the episode.

Well that was about what I expected... you know... bad.

This episode 2/5
Whole Show 4/10

Early promise ruined with lack of good established characters, bad plotting, plot holes, badly done time travel, and a horrible main character. Not quite Guilty Crown stupid but the last half of this show was a mess.

I am not going to bother making a long rant. I'm sure people enjoy this show, their choice. I did not, well... the first bit I liked. The rest was a joke.

Season 2 is imminent :B

Well, maybe not imminent, but it'll happen.

Overall pretty good. I hated yuki to begin with, but I didn't mind him so much at the end since he finally got some of his priorities straight and grew a goddamn pair. 8/10

Although the end was kind of a random/stupid cop-out instead of a clever way to transition into the second season.

Well up to this episode I've had no idea how this was going to end and I was praying for a happy ending between Yuno (1st World) and Yukki (2nd World). Ughhh that didn't happen, noooooooooooooooooooooooooo Yuno stabbed herself. Guess there wasn't much chance of them both surviving since one of them had to die. At least that Yuno realizes how much she loved this Yukki and there was no need to go on. Sad how hes just too sad to live on even after becoming god and just does nothing for so long. And that last epilogue thing what in the world does Yuno really show up!?

Also sad how the 3rd world Yukki and Yuno aren't together... Guess all the other diary owners are now living better lives though and stuff like 6th's rape scene didn't happen.

This wasn't the kind of ending I was hoping but it was alright. NEXT PROJECT!? Oh hell yes I wonder what it is.

I didn't hate this ending but it's very depressing. From Yukkis 10,000 years of doing nothing to 1st Yuno dying. Regardless of the fact that the 3rd Yuno is essentially a replacement the first is dead and that is who we really experienced all of this with from the beginning.

The last couple of episodes were very sporadic in comparison to the rest. Once we started crossing over into parallel dimensions in the past it started losing it's value. The relationship between Yuno and Yukki is also kind of stale, they even admit they're only in love due to one protecting and the other giving them hope. It could of been anyone and they would of fallen in love. That's how weak their love really is. Although we do see them overcome this reality a bit in the end.

Despite all that the fact that a God cannot bring people back or really do much of anything is pretty dumb. At the very least couldn't Yukki make his own world with past versions of those people before they died to populate it? This whole "soul" garbage is just a cop out. If Yukki can't leave the area Deus stays in can he not just bring Yuno to him? We see Deus do that all the time. But again, he is a god how can he not just do whatever he wants? If he wants to be on Earth, he should be able to do so.

Just imagine if this game had detailed rules before hand, shit, this ending might of never happened. Yukki would of never had the balls to kill anyone if he couldn't bring them back.

In the end, Yukki is a failure. He let the 2nd world down and is only creating happiness for entirely different versions of the people he once knew in the 3rd world. It's a sad ending for the main characters, regardless how much you show how happy everyone is in the 3rd world is.

I can't give this anime more than a 8/10. The plot holes and my dislike of the ending brings it down. The last 6 episodes or so really brought this anime up. The middle slacks a lot and the beginning is interesting enough to keep you coming back for more.

It's 1st Yuno who reunites with Yuuki. It was mentioned that she mixed memories with 3rd but that was only what delayed her 10k years? How would 3rd Yuno smash wall of time/space if she never became god? The first Yuno is only god Yuno. I would like to hear more opinions about this though...

There's another thing, how exactly does 3rd Yuno become god? As for her being 1st due to the memories, that's not true. 1st Yuno is dead, implanting her memories on another doesn't bring her back. It might make Yukki happy as well as this new Yuno but 1st Yuno does not get a happy ending regardless.

3rd world is good.

2nd world Yukiteru with his 10k years of obsession is quite pathetic, again there's nothing that can redeem his behaviour. Not letting go for 10000 years while alone is an impossible scenario many of us can NOT feel empathy since it's so out of our reach. Thus, I can only make the judgment with the short span I've lived now, and his behaviour again makes him a crappy character.

Also not sure about all this hammer references, nor do I want to read the manga to find out.

I think the ending here in terms of the premise built upon it ended quite satisfactorily. The only offnote is 2nd world Yukiteru still pissing in his own agony for 10k years. But due to my short life I cannot possibly understand such an impossible scenario. The only thing I do understand is this:

Humans are social creatures. We cannot change if we isolate ourselves from the rest of the world. 2nd world Yukiteru is stuck because he has nobody to save him. He's alone, even though he's a god. He lost everyone he cared about by his own hands or by the game's machinery.

It's quite tragic but it also means the 3rd world had become a normal place where he prevented Yuno's family from dying and the entire survival game altogether (at least for the current time being). And Minene got to experience love. Keigo maybe prevented his kid from dying. 11th and 8th hooked up. That kid isn't a psychotic bastard. The clairvoyant girl didn't start a evil cult (or get raped repeatedly, right?). All's good in this world at least compared to the clusterfuck in the second world.

Although since he's a God, you do have to wonder how many different things he could've tried to do. But alas, the premise is that he's under some infinite depression and can't get over his loss. Not the best way it could've went, but we have the constellation prize of the 3rd world. So I'm pretty satisfied.

8/10.

The 3rd Yuno didn't become a god. And the only Yuno that would ever be able to visit Yukki must be a god... That was horribly explained, but my guess is mixing memories doesn't mean implanting memories.
And the sentence "It was so long Yukki" refers they knew each other some time ago. And that isn't something copy should say... But that are only speculations.

Damn it. I sped through the whole series this monday, and now I find myself listening to the OPs, EDs and yuki(10 hours) just to fill the hole. I really hate plot twists, but damn it... They might have been over the top, but fucking great. Yukiteru was so insanely reckless 'cause he thought he could bring them back if he became God. Yuno was a brilliant character that reminds me of Lucy/Kaede/Nyuu from Elfen Lied.

About the 3rd Yuno coming back. Murmur "gave" her the memories, so she basically also had those experiences, if I understood right. And 1st Yuno made me tear up so many times those last episodes.

AND, about the love shit. I, too, love the fact that they understand that they could have fallen in love with anyone, and it magically became them. Made it so much more realistic and true. Tho, the time spent just really shows that albeit fragile, it was love.

Fucking great, 10/10

Just finished this show in a marathon fashion...
and well...loopholes, anticlimaxes and unanswered questions fluctuated my mind...
The anime/manga's plot was too much mind-effing twisted, that a lot of people would find the story very hard to comprehend in a satisfying manner(such as me) :(

Summary:
- The first 2 worlds were in Dystopia, while Utopia for the 3rd one
- 1st and 2nd world Yunos are dead
- 1st world yukiteru commited suicide, while the 10k-year old 2nd world yukiteru is an emo god in his own destroyed space/world.
- Everyone in the 3rd world, and surprisingly including the 2nd world "stucked-in-3rd" Uryuu, all had the happy ending
- All murmurs are annoying, and Deus is one stupid god that messed up all of these in the 1st place XP

Rating: 6/10...
it was an entertaining show, but neither the diary game, nor the anime title, did not solve problems for the better of mankind -__-

Awesome, twisted and sad story ... 9/10

I somewhat don't get why 3rd Yuna felt like she's forgetting something... Must have been done by Mur Mur, altering 3rd worlds Yuna when 1st world's Yuna suicided or they get mixed in process somehow. That leads me to the "Wth cliffhanger in last seconds - [Yuna came to visit me] on diary !!!!! }:O" I can understand that 3rd Yuna became God of 3rd world too but why she came after 10000 yrs , why not sooner? This makes it feel unfinished. I'd be happy for Movie or something to show events further on.

After a 3-day marathon with Mirai Nikki, I need to say that it's great.
Little depressing ending, but from the other side it makes some chances for next season or something, especially after this "NEXT PROJECT" in the end.

I would give that 10/10, if not annoying main hero, because I almost hated Yukiteru during watching.
That's why, 9/10 for this title. Great characters, great plot and especially great soundtrack.

good series for me, but the ending was rather not satisfying. Where it ended up 3rd world Yuno doing the same thing to Yukkii when Yukki got sealed on that Sphere. Yuno breaking the Sphere 'like' world where God of Time Yukkii together with Murmur reading a 1000+ year old manga was staying.

anyways Yuno definitely kind of did the same thing as the Guy in the video:

They did, unless you suddenly zoned out the "YUNO IS THE GOD(DESS) OF THE FIRST WORLD !!!" part. If you want to attack on the Yuno front you should attack the "Why is she capable of using superhuman skills during several parts of the story yet somehow she suddenly needs Deus' Cube to use God powers at the end" hole. I might add that little plothole was added by the author rewriting the final volume of Mirai Nikki for the official release... in the serial chapters Yuno was perfectly able to use God powers without any hint of her borrowing Deus lingering power.

Just finished the show now and it was great! Although, I feel there were some things that were inconsistent.

When the 2nd world 10,000 year old Yuki was reading the phone, it says that Yuno died, but how come towards the end, it show Yuno, telling her friends about her trip to the observatory with her family?

I'd assume that the God Yuno lived after stabbing herself, as to complete the explanation of the epilogue, but what do you guys think?

---

... It's still inconsistent though if you put it that way, since the phone would have been tracing 3rd Yuno.. Or was the Yuno shown at the end the God Yuno? Might she have had some way to supress her memories, considering that the 1st Murmur did away with the 2nd Murmur?

Sorry if it's confusing, I'll just clarify if ever. xD

The ending was pretty confusing. But then again, if you do not get the time concept during the last episodes of Mirai Nikki, you won't like the show, which happened to me.

It is pretty tough to decipher. Let's see. Yuno killed herself, making Yukki god and he made the 3rd world a perfect place. Everyone is safe, no one has a Future Diary, Deus and MurMur are cool with the way everything is running, the only thing that sucks is that Yukki is with that other girl than Yuno and I think the world would run best if both of them never had a relationship. And god Yukki is forever alone. Maybe being god wasn't the best choice.

And the whole MurMur thing. So 1st world MurMur was the one we were looking at this whole season? And 2nd world MurMur was just trapped in that thing after all this time? 3rd MurMur looks fine, but 2nd MurMur had to suffer in god Yukki's depression? I'm just confused......

I still give this show my respect. It has its ups and downs, but it was a show that I continued to watch, even if I was tempted to drop it. Not one of the best, but a good show either way.

Well, I went from really enjoying this show, till about the dog episodes which were weird, and I dropped it. Recently I watched where I left off (it was not until after the part with the old lady and the server) that I finally started to get back into it. It actually it was not until the old guy that made the diaries (no I don't remember what number he was), that it actually got interesting again for me.
Okay the ending was pretty amazing, and it made me glad I finished it. I think there were some episodes that were boring, after all to much killing and craziness it no longer became interesting but just became a show where I thought wow the creator wated to draw someone getting killed here....

WOW! Throughout the moaning of the entire series, the last three episode was actually GREAT!

- I know why Yuno was a chaotic psychotic yandere

- Yuki wasnt so pathetic

- I approve of the ending!

- Premises of the show to begin with and ending was great!

But that doesnt excuse how poorly executed the story was in my opinion leading up to the ending. I personally disliked how they portrayed Yuki.

One episode hes indecisive, slow, and enclosed, and/or scared of Yuno

Another episode hes decisive, manly, and/or hates Yuno.

Rinse and Repeat.

His constant change in attitude with Yuno per episode was annoying as hell. Personally it grated me, especially him killing Hinata and Co ..... like I said .... one episode hes cool, another hes a whiny little bitch. I sure hell would have enjoyed it more, IF he started as a whiny little bitch and then as the show went through became more independent, instead of the peaks and troughs, of his personality.

Having said that, I enjoyed the other characters. 9th, the lovey dovey couples. All good, but Yuki (and partly Yuno cause of Yuki) ruined the show for me. I finally understood them in the final 3 episodes, but too little, too late.

Great Story/ Poorly Executed

Wow....this series just gets more and more unrealistic doesn't it? How the hell does a 14 year old loser like Yuki be able to drive a car, I mean the age isn't that much of a big deal, it's the fact that the snotty brat called Yuki can........WTF!!?!

I know anime is unrealistic at times and this series tried to be realistic at times but just fell flat on it's face just now.

I'm currently watching episode 19....Yuno is about to shoot the tyres of the 11th's car or so I think. ;)

EDIT #1:

I just watched episode 22 and just started episode 23 and there's no mention of Yuki seeing Akise's message on his Mirai Nikki.......WTF!?!?!

EDIT #2:

I just finished watching episode 26....the final episode of this series.....THANK GOD!

It was good story and I was a little disappointed in the fact that they didn't do the complete ending of the manga in the anime but I guess it was done to increase the sales of the manga in Japan, so that ppl will read the last volume of the manga to see if the anime followed it.

In this case the anime did follow it somewhat but didn't extend the Uryu Minene's happy ending, instead they repositioned where her kids were at but pretty much the same. The anime didn't have the biscuit hammer or explain that the 3rd Deus, the 1st World and 3rd World Muru Muru's who helped in giving the memories of the 1st Yuno to the 3rd Yuno. I mean the anime ending was hinting at the fact that the 3rd Yuno gains the memories of the 1st Yuno but doesn't explain how. I mean the manga ending didn't explain all to well either but tried to offer an explanation of God and his Servants made it happen, I guess that was justifiable enough. My question is how much of the 1st Yuno's memories were given to the 3rd Yuno because they lived different lives and the 1st Yuno is completely bat-shit crazy. The 2 Gods ending was good and I like it in the manga.

I wish the anime animated all the parts of the ending of the manga because at the moment, the anime kinda leaves you a bit lost I guess. ;)

I absolutely love the character of Uryu Minene and I'm so glad she got her happy ending, so how will the 3rd Minene get her happy ending? Does she continue to be a terrorist? Since the 2nd World Minene is Half-God, why not "grow" herself a new hand and eye, so has not to be a disfigured Half-God. Her character is like a mix of Revy from Black Lagoon and Misato Kasuragi from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I'm not sure what to say but I was little pissed after finishing the anime and so I read the last chapter of the manga.

My rating for the anime is a 8.5/10, I gave the manga a 9/10 and at MAL, I gave the anime an 8/10 for now.

I'm glad I've finally watched this series but I'm gonna stay away from Yandere stuff for a while.

I don't see why yukki did'nt just use his god powers kidnappe the yuno from his old world or what ever world use his powers again age her an give yuno all her memerious about all the poeple she killed an how they where inlove, that way everybody would win? they may not of did that idea because yukki was in love with that yuno in peticular for some reason but shes the same in all of the worlds.. i think bye worlds i think they mean differnt demanchions i think their just traveling in time.(but that doesnt make sence since there is other gods..,but there is the same people in each world they travel too) so i dont think it matters witch yuno he takes matters.? oh well thats what i would of done. Also does 9th the chick remember anything?? she NEVER died (well they never showed her dieing only being saved) an her boo also was like "dont i know you" ahh so many questions XD im a mess!

The left out the final part of the Manga, it´s not much but it helps to understand the Anime ending.
In the Manga the 3rd World Yuno remembers Yukki because her memories were kept by mur mur,and given to 3rd world Yuno but because Mur mur´s and yuno´s memories were all mixed up it took a little longer. Maybe 2 Years for 3rd world Yuno, 10.000 for 2nd world Yukki, and thanks to Deus and Mur mur she smashes the wall of space-time with a hammer and reunites with 2nd world yukki.Deus tells Yukki that the 3rd world also faces destruction and Yukki and Yuno succed him as god (Well actually Yukki was already god of the 2nd world.)

Thank you!
I was wondering what exactly happened at the end. (I never read the manga)
I was thinking the whole time, just how is Deus gonna choose a replacement now that the game has been called off in the 3rd world. Was starting to make a shitload of theories in my head of just how Yuno would "visit" him.

I guarantee you there gonna make a OVA episode about this now. That's probably why they saved the entire scene. Lol

This reminded me of Shu's ending. Goes through hell, has everything taken away, and in the end he's basically all alone, just has his memories. Now lets hope they make a OVA.

For all the things Yuno did and showed, I just feel that they didnt focus more on her crazy side enough. but I guess that was intentional.

The writers really wanted to focus on the romance of Yuki and Yuno, but it just didnt fit IMO.

I was waiting for Yuno to go full blown crazy once Yuki found out about the time travel, but no they went to a different direction. I just think that Yuno's sick idea of repeatedly creating a new world and continuing on with the cycle of the killing and the game, etc wouldve made for a more interesting story.

Obviously, I didnt read the manga, but from what Ive read on this site, it doesnt seem much better either. Oh well.

For an anime, with all its errors, it still kept me watching (finished the series in 4 days), which for me is pretty damn good.
