I see a lot of 10/10 but no reasons why? I wished people put a little more context to this, maybe I miss understood something about the movie or miss a special part.
Animatios and grpahics where amazing.Waiting so long to watch this on 1080p kinda paid off, as its awesome picture quality is the only thing (imo) that makes this a good movie.
I also liked the narration. Kyon keeps things fun with smart remarks while not diverting to much from story line.
Plot wise, the movie was entertaining until Kyon meets the new Haruhi, after that there are so many plot wholes that makes things not so fun.

Your post really sounds like your are looking for something to bash a bit the movie because of the hype (trooolll xD)

choyos said:
Koizumi and his entourage are now in the new highschool with Haruhi. They never give a reason for this, maybe Nagato knew he had feelings for her?

Do you really need a reason ? It's told in the movie, actually it was more "normal" for them to go at that school. It's Haruhi's world that is messed and you know ;)

choyos said:
Koizumi says he envies Kyon, yet there is no more development to this idea, even at the end he repeats it.

That's not even a plot point, how can that be a plot hole ? What's good about Koizumi is his mystery (ironic, isn't it ?). This point is part of it.

choyos said:
Playing with time travel makes things interesting on any story, but abusing of it just makes it wierd and boring. Is was cute that Kyon and old Mikuru had to work to make things right, but why making a new Kyon save the day? It would have been awesome if Haruhi would have pop from somewhere and do crazy stuff as she sees Kyon dying on the floor, yet we see this very bad conclusion to an awesomely elaborated problem.

Your opinion. For me, the more time travel there is, the more I like :D.

choyos said:
The Kyon monologue totally felt like Evangelion, but we didn't heard anything we already didn't knew or that wasn't express already during the film (Old Mikuru states this and so does kyon earlier in the movie when he is looking for her)

And without this monologue (which is truly epic), You would have certainly said "they didn't develop the idea" ...

choyos said:
I haven't read the novels so i might be missing something, i really enjoy the anime tho. I feels this gets a 8/10 at most, and thats with a +1 just because it has Haruhi on the title.

You haven't read the novels so yes, you miss some little things. I can tell you that many questions have yet to be answered and I would agree that the movie format wasn't very suited for this story for that reason. However, this is also the most suited part of Haruhi story for a movie. That's why I think we won't see another Haruhi movie in the future. Perhaps novel 7 would do it but I doubt.

You are kinda right, I was super hype about the movie, and yet it was so average = \ but when i wrote this I thought this was the "end" but apparently there is some more story left and a new novel coming soon... so I guess it wasn't that bad as long as they keep delivering more material and give this a nice conclusion ^^
huh?

When Kyon said "Yuki" and Nagato looked up thinking that she was called by her first name but only to find out that Kyon was actually saying "snow" was really touching. It's obvious now that Nagato has feelings for Kyon. and goddammit I want it!

This movie was amazing and it completely worth the long wait for it.

My love for this series was rekindled after the horror produced known as Endless eight.

Yuki was just so awesome in this movie. Kyon too.

11/10.

Umm, no.

Not in the least. There was absolutely nothing psychological about this movie. Mind Game, End of Eva, Perfect Blue, etc. are "mind fucks", this was a movie where a lot of people like it because of how "cute" the characters are.

Finally found awesome quality of this movie! Not the one that was recorded from a movie theater. Downloaded it before, crappy quality but found excellent quality that just came out a few days ago after downloading the movie.

This movie: mind blowing and incredible. I actually cried a little after Kyon got stabbed and was about to die.
Although I got confused at some parts but overall, it's an amazing movie.

How can you say that there is nothing psychological in this movie? The whole movie centers on the behaviour of both Kyon and Yuki: the reactions that Kyon has when he realises that everything changed in the world; his struggle with himself when he tries to make a decision on whether to shoot Yuki or not; Yuki's emotions that are the actual trigger to the whole movie et cetera.
You can even go to ANN and see at genres "psychological" :P.

Really, really awesome. Probably one of the best anime movies ever made, hands down. I don't have much to say because I haven't read the novel, but it was indeed many more times worth the several bottles of ramune I drank during the course of the film. :3

Probably just a story Yuki made up. She still have the ability to alter time. Probably because she doesn't want the others to know.

It's something Nagato made up, probably through memory alteration.
It's likely that the whole accident didn't actually happen, everyone just believed it did.

It did happen, because Kyon has to go back in time to fix it. If it didn't happen, there would be no need for him to do so.

Really good movie, just wondering though:

In the Kyon stabbing incident if the adult Asahina knows who is the culprit of the alteration how come she was not aware that Asakura will stab him at the back. We see the young Asahina there when Kyon was bleeding to death.

I liked the movie, but there's something I don't get. After Kyon got stabbed, future Kyon and the others came to rescue him and change the world back to its original state. But if they didn't come, the world would have remained unchanged and Kyon would have died. Right? Now, if Kyon died there, there wouldn't be future Kyon anymore nor time traveller Asahina or anything. So how the hell did someone come back from the future who couldn't even exist? So future Kyon and the others could only exist if someone shot Nagato with that pistol, but it was them who shot her, even tough they couldn't have existed.

I can't really explain what I mean, but I hope you understand what I want to say.
