All looked good... untill i reached the line in true tomboy "possibly a lesbian"

Possibly cuz of what? Cuz of her taste? Interest? Hobbies?

Where in the hell does it say that if you like guys stuff you could be lesbian? Where the hell does it say lesbians can't like girly stuff?

Gimme a break with this antiquated mentality

@Zarutaku eh, that's just the most stereotypical "boy in a skirt" or even "token gay" because of the mention of lesbians. "Female bro" is more of a type of girl who has adopted too many masculine traits due to her friendships with guys.

@Zarutaku Yes, its says. But it's also a stew of other definitions, pointlessly throwing in athletic girls, masculine lesbians, and those girls who don't want to care much about their appearance. This is why it doesn't work like "true tomboy". It's just a hanger for random traits of different androgynous women. It's like trying to describe "true femboys" by simply lumping together all the traits of men whose image in some way may not be manly.

@RobertBobert Actually I find it fairly accurate, you even said before
so it makes perfect sense she's lesbian because having the hots for girls is a very masculine trait, same goes for "long hair is a pain" because most men have short hair.

@Zarutaku A lot of women don't look particularly girly because they consider the requirements for a woman's appearance to be too difficult. But that doesn't make them tomboy or tomboy-ish. At the same time, even many tomboys themselves wear long/medium hair, simply preferring to do braids or women's hairstyles that are easy to care for. This is too vague a sign. With the same logic, you can call a clear sign of femboys the lack of excellent muscles. There are no hunks among femboys, but this does not mean that any man without muscles is a femboy.

@RobertBobert Sure, I agree there are lots of feminine women with short hair, but still if you ask people around the globe what is considered as typical masculine/feminine then a majority of people will mention short/long hair amongst other traits.

There is a lack of very masculine tomboys, my favorite tomboys are the very masculine ones and they are not in this list.

Indeed, but if she has too many masculine traits then she will be considered as a tomboy because that's the very definition of this term.

@Absurdo_N I doubt the author took this into account, but it's not really tomboys. Such girls are called either butch (not necessarily in a sexual sense, in the older sense of the word) or Lad-ette. If you're talking about a typical girl who swears like a man, loves beer and is most likely married to a big hunk.

I'm talking about women with typical male short hair who wear men's clothes and don't have a shred of femininity.

Very manly women who identify as women but are very masculine.

@DigiCat It's Twitter, so that's to be expected. You can easily notice this by the awkward combination of anime slang and Western memes. I'm more surprised that none of the lists mention transsexuality. But all jokes aside, zoomers seem to be more obsessed than other generations with the idea that people who don't fit maximum stereotypes about their gender, sexuality, or interests aren't "ordinary."
