| Kobari Katsunosuke, the music producer of NARUTO TV series and movies, passed away on July 2nd. He was 54 years old and had been suffering from pancreatic cancer. He formed a rock band Musashi in 1991 and produced the sound tracks of NARUTO under the name of "Musashi Project". Source: Jiji.com |

The music producer is typically the person who would decide where to use what music for whatever scenes, not impacting the original mood of composition. Masuda Toshio, who did the first season (Naruto) and Takanashi Yasuharu, who is composing Shippuuden's scoring are still alive, and are responsible for the actual musical stylings. You can hear this in their other works, both have fairly distinct styles that the producer obviously has no impact on. So while the death is unfortunate, it's not going to effect the music itself in any significant way. |
