The official website of the Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica Gaiden (Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story) anime series announced on Monday that the third and final season, Asaki Yume no Akatsuki (Dawn of a Shallow Dream), will be delayed to Spring 2022 due to production issues. The new season was scheduled to premiere in December 2021.

The first two seasons, produced by Shaft, aired in Winter 2020 and Summer 2021 for 13 and 8 episodes, respectively. Aniplex of America licensed the anime series in North America and simulcast it on Funimation with subtitles, followed by Crunchyroll and HIDIVE.

Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica Gaiden adapts the smartphone game of the same name, which serves as a spin-off to the 2011 anime series Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica (Puella Magi Madoka Magica). Aniplex launched the smartphone game for Android and iOS platforms in August 2017. The English edition of the game terminated its service last September.

Dam... Ar least I don't think that Shaft animators will not be like Mappa... I think. Lets wait, anyway.

Yes, animation wise (if you watch bluray). Story wise there are mixed opinions, but I like it.

Woah, I'm surprised that soulless execs at Aniplex actually allowed for this delay. With 2nd season allegedly being a rushed production hell I was certain that well-being of the staff was least of their concerns.

I've been waiting for the fixed release of the 2nd season bc I heard that some episodes had terrible animation and subs. So whatever, not like I was waiting on this

Such a unique spinoff of Madoka Magica. I have no doubt that it will be good.
