@Rorschach
Besides having a clear bias towards Little Busters, I'm gonna have do some guesswork here.
It's not that you like cute stuff specifically, but you seem to like the ones with heavy emotional baggage along with them. Essentially, dramatic things happening to ordinary people. The actual specifics of those seem to be based around certain shows, rather than any trend. Still, you've watched many things that are placed relatively in present day, rather than in any fantasy worlds or past/future times. That being said, you're certainly fine with some quirky stuff happening, so it's not like you like fully realistic stuff.
You probably enjoy most of the things you watch, or at least you enjoy parts of them. Kaiji and Azusa are listed as some of your favorite characters, but you didn't seem to rate their respective shows that high. Given that, you might respond better to shows where you can get attached to a character, rather than anything brought about by the plot anything audiovisual related.
With regards to stuff you dislike, it might be easier to say "everything that's not Little Busters!: Refrain." That being said, you rated Madoka and Fate/zero season 1 a point higher than Fate/zero season 2 and Unlimited Blade Works. You also didn't take Death Note or Bakemonogatari very well, you didn't like Angel Beats at all, and Another and High School of the Dead were outright crap for you. With all that, you certainly like a level of talk and discussion in your anime, but you're quite sensitive to when it becomes either overblown or painful. You'd more so enjoy a show if it outright says or shows what the conflict is, rather than dancing around the problem or try to express it in some unnecessarily flashy manner.
You seem to have dropped quite a few things, and quite early on as well. I would assume that you were influenced by hype or outright told to watch certain things, such as Serial Experiments Lain and Kancolle. Either that or you do try to expand a bit. I see quite a few psychological and ecchi anime in your list, but they just didn't seem to work out for you. There seems to be something that you're looking for, as if there's some kind of void you're trying to fill, but you're just not finding it. Because of that, everything you watch seems to be crap in your eyes, or perhaps you're a harsh rater who wants his anime to be a certain way. |
