| This was fucking awesome. Production values seem to be even higher than with first season, OP was great (never liked first season OP's) and whole thing worked as one, seamless fun experience. Also, dat Touma speeches I can't wait for more of them. Oh, and Misaka was in it. Instant plus in my books |

| after such a wait, my most anticipated anime this season.... fuuukodaaaaaa actually, it was great to see it back, and it may have been because of that, but i loved every part of it. from the op, to getting to see kanzaki back. i know this season will be kickass, and its great seeing mikoto again after learning of her backstory. still, this anime is love. touma is still a badass with no real powers.... except for an anti power arm... xD |

| The episode was good and I'm sure it'll get better. Misaki was soo moee~~ That scene was just cute. Well can't wait to see the next episode. Looks like its gonna get religious with the tiny nuns. |

| Not much happened in the episode, and the relation between Touma and Misaka seems a little confusing from what I remember from Index season 1. But the ending part seemed interesting. I hope that they don't start the season with filler-like episodes. |

| Glad we are back to Index now rather than the Railgun crap. That series was a waste of time. Touma should at least carry the enjoyment of this series for me, though hopefully the story will be interesting too. |

| I was afraid this episode was going to be one big recap episode but I enjoyed it even as a re-introduction episode. I didn't think they would drive straight into the plot on episode 1 since it's been awhile since Index 1 ended. Glad to see what I liked about Index made it back and what I didn't like about Railgun didn't. |

BiriBiri is probably the BIGGEST reason I'm watching this, and her appearance lasted less than 1 minute :( In the end, not funny, not particularly entertaining, not amuzing....2/5 I really hope this is better than the first season.....PLEASE, MORE BIRIBIRI, less index |

| ^ is it? I suppose it makes sense cause Misaka last remembers Touma from when the Aztec guy appeared. Meaning the Hyouka hasn't come into the story yet. Explains that she's not in the OP or ED... I gotta rewatch first season. It's been a while. |

(I haven't read the novels or the manga, so this is just wishful thinking) I was starting to wonder whether we were developing an unpleasable fanbase, but then your comment there got me seeing it from a perspective where you don't know what's coming. In that context I can see why this isn't the most lucrative first episode. So setting the record straight right now. It gets better. I think they just wanted this out of the way because they didn't get to do it in the first season. In retrospect I can see why this would be the scene to get cut when they weren't able to fit it all into their 24 episodes. My only concerns are that they might skip volume 8 in favor of doing it in railgun s2, which would dramatically reduce misaka's screentime. Or that they would do neither 12 or 13 due to an inability to do both, resulting in filler. If it stays faithful to the novels then there are no concerns (that I know of. haven't started volume 11 yet, nor have I read volume 12 or 13. This is based on volumes 7, 8, 9, and 10. So that's the disclaimer. The awesome is plentiful within those volumes.) |

| Bakatsuki is what we've got. They translate in the order they feel like and we should be grateful for the service they provide. In anime we get to pick and choose our subtitlers. In Manga there is often options. In light novels it pretty much begins and ends with bakatsuki. If I could read Japanese then I wouldn't need them, but since I can't I thank the various deities every day that the people at Bakatsuki, and Teh_Ping in particular, are willing to use their time in a way that benefits us. |
