(at that transformation scene) curiously, I hardly find reactions that "he looked like a gay!" in Japanese BBS or blogs comments. all they say is "fabulous, crazy, laughable, cool, nice, funny, beyond understanding or description". though I guessed not a few women would come to like "Galactic Pretty Boy" in a white elegant uniform. |

| interesting ep... but since i had no background info on it i got a little lost,, BrentD's explanation really helped. ^^ definitely going to watch this because of the great animation from BONES, and the ginga bishounen is just too hilarious (the seiyuu being miyano-san is a major plus)! as for the mecha design, it looks, er, not something i'd imagine as mecha, but who am i talk.. XD |

Enokido thinks that Igarashi zero knowledge of mecha is a strength because he is not ruled by the established mecha troupe. I don't like the mecha designs. | An awful start, overall, and I was so badly looking forward to Star Driver. The pacing was all over the place, to the point where absolutely nothing was explained, and, yes, I've read the other thread; still, that doesn't excuse a poor episode. I certainly hope it gets better than this. |

| I have mixed feelings on this episode. First off, the plot moves way too fast and explains WAY too little. What is Takuta's motivation (other than to "live a fabulous high school life")? Where did his "cybody" come from? How did he know how to use it? What is the evil organization's intentions? What is the significance of the seals and Wako's maiden status? Why on earth does the title "Galactic Pretty Boy" strike the villains with fear? Hopefully, the next episode will explain. The art is generic bishie stuff, and reminds me heavily of Code Geass, especially the odd hairstyles and costumes. The production values are obviously very high, though. The animation is good, and there were some high-quality sequences involving the cybodies. The episode is very ridiculous, but it doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. The sense of humor is evident throughout, and there is no way it could expect us to take our hero, the "Galactic Pretty Boy" as anything other than impossibly goofy. It has a "Code Geass meets Soul Eater meets Gurren Lagann" feel to it, and as long as it never takes itself serious, it has potential to be very entertaining, even if it isn't ground-breaking. |

| it was epic weird? but i liked the alternate space thing and cybodies things tho aanywayz my main thoughts are once this anime seems to be mainly for visual, colorful experience id wish main female character be alot prettier and gutsier too, but shes just so bleh~ instead. -_- |

| I don't really understand what's happening but I guess it's cool? I don't know if I like the anime, some moment's it's great and the next moment it's kinda weird :P I think this is gonne be one of my fav shows (of the ones that are airing now) but I hope the next episode explains a bit more and is a bit less... random? xD However I liked it :D |

| Ok start, I don't think I'll be watching this one right now. Though, I'll probably watch this sometime, keep it on my To-Watch list. And, I could see this getting a dub eventually, seeing as how it's major eye candy and is produced by Bones, it will probably see a US release w/subs atleast. The story is pretty generic and random, but the animation and characters are BA! The "Galactic Pretty Boy" is awesome, I'm sure there will be a whole slew of fancy mechs for him to fight. I may watch ep 2 and decide to follow this one, but I've only watched 7 of the shows this season and I'm already committing to 5. So, I'll be watching the rest before I decide on this one. Urahara Out!! |
