Why the hell is Kana jealous about Oikawa when she doesn't even want the human Rikuo? Having a crush on Night Rikuo doesn't stop her from still being interested in Drikuo. Also, Kana and Tsurara naturally just don't like one another and consider themselves to be Love rivals. In anime it was downplayed, but Kana started throwing at Tsurara dirty looks ever since she noticed that Rikuo and Tsurara know one another. |

Felt like a 13 series It gets worse: we are most probably getting a second season in future as well :P Actually it hasn't been confirmed that this is 24 episodes long, The Producers said if the TV Ratings are good they will make it one of the long series like Naruto with over hundreds of episodes, I am checking a TV Rating thing in Japan for Animation and Nurahyon is really high its around where Naruto and Reborn ratings are thats in the top 15. |

| Even though Tsurara was jealous of Kana and vice versa, the ending was quite Rikuoxkana...I didn't quite liked this little detail, but i really like how Tsurara wants to monopolize Rikuo for herself... The rest of the episode was okay, but i really have expectations for this arc... |
| As much as I loved Tsurara's laugh, her flags, and the Tsurara vs Kana catfight, the one thing I loved more in this episode was Grandpa Nurarihyon being so badass. The change of color to black and white was a good effect. The music also blended in perfectly. Grandpa's face was so epic there. It exceeded my expectations there of that fight. So this is where the concept of "fear" being used in combat was first seen. I really want this show to go to second season where it gets further developed. Oh how I wish... And we also got introduced to the new enemies. It gets better and better now. Excellent episode. But why will we get a recap next episode? And it's about Gyuki again? Wasn't his story done? But I guess I should have seen this coming. I had doubts how Shikoku arc will fit in the remaining episodes and recap eps are to be placed to make it fit. Let's get it over with. I hope there's something in store there that won't make it boring. |

Nurarihyon's power does not really work this way but they did not explain the fight of fears yet, and that is but a tip of his power, he can do many other things too. I want to see Matoi but I don't want them to animate the kyoto arc yet ._. . Hopefully they'll take their time for the inugami arc and do kyoto in a s2. Since the first op was mostly about the gyuki's arc I hope that there will be a change op next episode or the one after. |

| I don't think they'll reach Kyoto arc here. There's barely enough episodes for that. And they really are taking their time, since next episode is a recap :|. Hopefully this is just one episode. Oh yeah, it's time for OP change. Maybe that will determine the content of the second half of the show. Me want Matoi too :< |

I don't think they'll reach Kyoto arc here. There's barely enough episodes for that. And they really are taking their time, since next episode is a recap :|. Hopefully this is just one episode. Actually, there is no official number of eps. I heard that they even once said that if the series is popular enough, it will be long-running. |

| annoying....pacing annoyed me again. Stuff was covered but felt like barely anything is revealed yet again. I'd forgive it if Rikuo was cool in the ep at all...but his whole reaction towards the end of the ep (first with the girls than with the new enemies) was a little on the weak side His grandpa's fight didn't really wow me much either, though his interaction with Yura was kinda funny.... Gyuki's henchmen warming up to Rikuo a little was kinda "d'awwww" too |

| well, after watching this episode twice, i think they've done a pretty good job with the episode especially w/ Grandpa Nurarihyon's scene, it's awesome to watch. Aside from that, Ishida's voice fits Tamazuki's character perfectly and i also can't wait to see the new opening. ^^ |

As a reader of the original manga, I have to right to point out some flaws. I'm not saying the adaptation is 100% bad (I would have dropped already then). But I have a serious problem with the voice acting (human Rikuo by Fukuyama is really getting on my nerves) and the pacing. There are good adaptations and bad ones. Obviously you have to compare them. If the adaptation fails, it fails (see Dance in the Vampire Bund for instance). Being an anime instead of manga is no justification for that. Someone who did not put many manga on their lists should not start judging others (general statement, not personal offense) Like you said, go appreciate the series as much as you want. I'm not appreciating this series that much and I am stating my opinion. No one has to care about my opinions. This is a forum so it's free-for-all. So let's stop trolling each other :P |

| Kana is a greedy one isn't she? Not only is she all hot for Night Rikuo, she still likes the day version too. At least Tsurara knows they happen to be the same person. Gramps was pretty cool. |

Oh, I like this new head villain! Hopefully he sticks around for the rest of the show (I'd prefer a slow-burn showdown). Wish Kana would just go away or something, she's really not adding to the story at all and all she does is fawn over Rikuo. (Well, I think the exact same about Yuki-Onna too, but at least she has some powers... although she's not very strong.) And surely they'd have to explain everything about the yokai to Kana by now? She's already seen too much. |

So just to confirm: Nurarihyon's power has something to do with invisibility and "fear", right? You actually just fail to notice him. It is weaker then invisibility but the more advanced version of that ability (which unfortunately will not appear in first 24 episodes) is even more useful then ivnisibility could have been. Wish Kana would just go away or something, she's really not adding to the story at all and all she does is fawn over Rikuo. Unless the director adds some additional Kana scenes, you won't see much from her anymore. She gets as much screentime as those other two (breastier) girls from Kiyo Cross Squad. |
