I really want to play Soul Link even the show sucked. In fact it was already translated into English by Mangagamer just recently.
Gays and lesbians never hate each other. Fans of both did.

I downloaded a free trial of the first chapter of Umineko no Naku Koro ni last week. After an hour of gameplay, let me assume the role of Captain Obvious from a moment when I say that the story in the game is far superior to the anime, but I prefer the cleaner character designs of the anime over the game.

No, I only play visual novels that have characters I already love from the anime because it makes me love the series more and it delves into things the anime was unable to show.

They take up a lot of my time and I can't multi-task when playing a VN so I limit the ones I play.

School Days was a lame adaptation? What?

One ~to the Shining Season~ and One ~True Stories~ have made me want to play the game, simply because those OVAs were too short to cover the game very well.

Everything that connects to MAL

Contains Ecchi, but not Tagged Ecchi: Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3

I just watch anime. I don't really care nor try to find out if it's an adaptation of anything. It is only when manga readers or VN players are in an uproar do I know that the anime is an adaptation.

The visual novel sucks too. A little less, but it does suck. I guess it can be good if you're bored or something.

If I could get my hands on some good VN that were not just about having sex and getting girls, I would. Unfortunately the market for VN is still not reached a good saturation point where people see it as a viable alternative between game and video/film. I would, I like to participate, lately games seem less enjoyable and a VN would suit me to be able to just forward the plot at my own pace, but not be the sole driving force behind the story development by having to solve unreasonable lateral thinking equations, at the same time not have to sit through an entire episode feeling disassociated by being a viewer only. VN is a happy medium.

I am watching you masturbate....you're good.

Exactly. (^-^)b It's not as if I'll go out of my way to find out. My concentration is on anime when I'm here, not manga or visual novels or games. Even when I find out what media it was adapted from, I'm not really inclined to go check out the other media - too many titles to finish in my anime list to bother with it. ((+_+))

reviving old thread.

clannad made me look through VNs. but clannad was a pretty good anime -- at least AS was. clannad original was like mediocre. so i guess sorta-lame anime hahaha.

Fate/Stay Night was the one that got me started. Anime was meh, and I heard it was a VN, so checked it out.

I'll be the 4th to say Umineko. Anything could be better than what that thing that as called an anime was.

Tsukihime comes to mind as well.
