I thought he was such a talented music artist. He'll definitely be missed, and so young.

Actually wait, shouldn't the thread title be changed? I don't think Nujabes ever sang anything.

By the way, if you've only heard his Champloo stuff, stop what you're doing and check out his non-anime stuff, it will blow you away.

just point where to
"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

Damn it, battlecry is one of the few Japanese hip-hop songs I've heard that I really REALLY like. I need to check out his non-anime work to honor his memory.

I have a feeling that the popularity of his music will now grow even more.

Nujabes was the reason I got into hip hop in the first place. He opened my eyes to an entirely new side of music that I'd never heard before. He was my inspiration, and he will be missed.

"So I'm drifting away like a feather in air,
letting my words take me away from the hurt and despair.
So I'm keeping it vertical forever elevator,
riding the escalator to the something that is greater."

RIP.

This is such such a shame. I can't believe this. I will miss him and his music immensely. I'm in shock. Really, how horrible.

Wherever he is, I hope he's chilling with some beers.

So, it's completely immoral to slightly criticize a dead person? I didn't even insult the guy, I just said he wasn't an international hero or something. Jesus, this is like MJ all over again.

I don't much care for hip-hop, and find Nujabes music fantastic. So that says a lot.
The world has, in fact, lost one of the best things that ever happened to the genre.
Lots of people in the world are rightly flipping out right now.
