@Anime_Phenom Season 1 was made by Madhouse, a studio that better managed their inner resources, barely making 2 anime yearly, while J.C Staff pumps 10 in average. Also, the crew who got to work in season 1 was one of a kind event, like, the the sun, the moon and the planets all aligned. J.C Staff has good in house animators, but they are overloaded. Also, whoever was the director of art and/or photography in season 2 did a lame job.
| @ManoCustaff JC Staff is also a much larger studio than Madhouse. The issue with JC Staff animation usually isn't due to overwork either. Even here, it's clear that every single scene has pacing and design issues. It's almost like the manga is being stitched together into an animated form instead of designing and storyboarding each scene out and animating it. Not to mention season 1 was not a one of a kind event. Yes, they had talented staff, yes, it was animated well, but it's not a one of a kind production. Madhouse has other works that look just as good, lots of other anime have been animated just as well if not even better than OPM. There's lots of other talented animators, directors, and such out there. What differers is JC Staff tends to contract in more of the staff like directors to work on projects at the studio. While MadHouse has a lot more of their own in house staff working on their projects. Which is a large part of the reason why JC Staff productions like Danmachi, or more recently Maou 2099 look as good as they do. |

| Long time no see, hum? I am waiting for season 3 with a lot of impatience but also with a lot of doubt because the season 2 was cool but not great at animation level. This first episode was meh, so let's wait to see if it's gonna be better next! |

| Very unpopular opinion but this is quite decent.. After chaos of S2 ending obviously there will be calm. Idc for hate imma gone enjoy it anyway. Saitama will Saitama. And Fubuki looks damn hot. |
One punch man came again and all the people are excepting the new season to be epic as season one due to the many years the studio took to produced this anime but, as we know it just can't happen from the moment I saw the trailer said it will be as season two the manga in the other side is unbelievable with so many scans that one of them will take as one anime budget so when they took so many years i was hoped that the anime will be great and unbelievable as the manga but it will never happened so if you went to see the real one punch man i really recommend you to read the manga first and you will see how One punch man could i actually be as one piece or bleach if we speak a bout the animation if the studio give it the love it deserved and finally i read the manga and i don't see a point from waiting another 7 or 8 years for another season and in the end it will get bed animation which is the hart of this anime in my opinion. |

| The character designs are better than s2 but... the entire episode was no better animated than it. Exactly what anyone with eyes expected after the trailer. I at least hope it isn't this bad for the upcoming action scenes because unlike s2, depending on how far they even manage to get, this arc should be full of fight scenes. I rarely nitpick about this but Saitama's voice acting also sounded really bad. It's like they didn't give any voice acting directions and just told him to stay monotone the entire time. For now, I've set my bar so low that I'm even willing to start ignoring all these stills with moving mouth flaps and moving pngs to imitate motion until we see how the actual fights are. |
| 6 years damn... Even if isnt the best adaptation hope we dont wait that long. Anyway, it was decent, not a episodeto display everything anyway, i enjoyed it. And loved the opening, isnt as catchy or good as the first, but it was very good. |

| Meh episode to start the season off but it's expected considering the chapters S3 EP1 adapted. Garou is going to hard carry this season. OP3 was decent visual wise and song wise. ED was okay. I can't believe the low rating this entry has but yeah ik because it's only the first episode and it doesn't have any action in it and the art direction and etc was all right. |

| Almost hard to believe Season 3 is finally here, I remember it being announced back in 2022 and just never really hearing anything about it after that, flash forward to 2025 and it’s actually real after all. And now that’s it’s here, well… the OP and ED were really good at least lol. Yeah I know it’s just the first episode and there haven’t been any action scenes yet, but most of this episode being still images panning up or down doesn’t bode well for the rest of the season. However, I’m optimistic, the OP’s animation looked pretty sick and if the action looks anything close to that, I’ll be happy, but it’s just the OP so I won’t get my hopes up, one thing I will give it tho is that the drawings are good most of the time, so at the very least we’re gonna get a good looking PowerPoint with voice acting. About the story tho, ngl I really should’ve done full rewatches of the first two seasons (watched them both in 2019, 6 years ago) because I don’t remember anything specific lol, mainly just that the heroes are currently fighting the monsters, but it seems like it’s not the biggest deal because so far, that’s all that’s happening pretty much, the heroes are gearing up to strike back at the monsters and the monsters are rallying up as well, kinda unfortunate what happened to those poor folks in the high tech suits tho, they look quite goofy now, it beats becoming a gross monster tho I guess lol. And of course there’s Garou, it’ll be interesting to see what he ends up doing, but he’s still quite the cool fella here in Season 3. But yeah I guess Season 3 is really happening huh, I hope it’s the best it can be because as easy as it is to joke about the production, I do want One Punch Man’s anime to be good, I remember liking Season 2 despite how it was received and I hope that can happen again. |
| murata fucked up the manga with all those redraws and jc staff fucked it up with the slideshows, one punch man's fall off needs to be studied. this is one of the most underwhelming sequel return first episode i've had to sit through. there's romcom slice of life anime from this season like yano's ordinary days which has more animation than this shit. |

So we finally got Saitama and the same year we got to see Ainz, I guess these are the signs of the times people...
| @prejudicellama Overlord movie was last year. Came in theaters in like Sept in Japan, Nov in US. Over a full year ago at this point. --- Anyway what I thought is that this episode was pretty mid. Nothing happened, so of course it's mid. And the animation was just panning still images with moving mouths. Gonna temper my expectations real real low for animation this season. |
| It definitely looks better than the last season, at least in the art department for sure For a build-up episode with no action scenes I think it was done very well, we'll just have to see how it goes when the real fights come in. I'm optimistic about this season despite all the doomposting about it over the past few months, either way the story will be great Oh and the OP was awesome! |

| Mid ep Definitely a better op than s2's. Man, ain't nobody gaf about that dude's son 😂 The fine ahh psychic sisters are finally back and man are they stunning. The day blue hair guy gets humbled will be a beautiful day indeed. OH HELL NAH, the way the prison hero caressed bro’s hand. 😭 NOOOOO, Fubuki's turtleneck has been erased. C'mon staff!!! Love the drawings, they are very strong, but damn the animation is quite limited. Along with sum slideshows, not much is great. Tho, imma excuse it since this is a non action ep. Also, quite happy that the metallic comp got fixed cause Genos's was so damn ugly in s2. Oof, that Garou walk looked bad. Good thing, the szn will start picking up next ep. Weird direction and pacing, but it’s alr for now. This ep adapted ch "Is it because i'm the caped baldy?" and "Hideout". 5/10 |
