Another incredible episode. Itadori just giving up fighting, Todo finally showing up, the really sweet and sad scene with Miwa and Mechamaru was beautiful and Todo and Itadori fighting Mahito was so sick. Mahito is a horrible person but a great character with the best fights of the show.

Bro that was foul. They really threw her death face right after the happy moment scene.

Itadori is a broken man. He's a husk of the man he was before. This arc really took a toll on him and will change him forever.

Todo's entry was badass fr. He's real bro. His boogie-woogie is so simple yet fun. And his sync with Itadori is amazing. Imagine if Todo teamed up with someone like Toji. He would be untouchable fr. Bro hit that MHA ass black flash lmao

The Kyoto school's first year was giving us copium coz ain't no way Gege is bringing back Nobara.

I guess this was Mechamaru's final sendoff. Rip

Thunderclap: "WHOA"

Right and Wrong: "Damn."

It just all seems to hit even harder on second viewing. For me, it's Yuji's "I'm sorry, Nanamin, for using my sins as an excuse to give up... from now, I'll take on your share of suffering." This is after all Todo told him about how you were free from all karma once you become a jujutsu sorcerer; the only sin you could commit is not continuing the fight in their place.

And of course the whole train scene between Miwa and Mechamaru just gets to you, honestly one of my favourite scenes in JJK (would have to thing real long and hard about it, but might just be my favourite. It's kind of hard to do when you pretty much just love everything equally as a whole in this series), just thought it was a bit randomly placed in the middle of the fight. It sort of makes sense since Todo has arrived on scene, so it wouldn't hurt to show the rest of the Kyoto school as well. Speaking of Todo though; dang I don't remember this fight going this hard- definitely tops his first tag team fight with Yuji against Hanami in the first season. The first one had the novelty of Todo's technique going for it; but this one raises the intensity.

Gege: yeah see this 15 year old teen that just lost most of his friends and buddies and realized that he indirectly created a 140 meter hole onto the middle of Shibuya? Let’s hit him with a Black Flash and a consecutive beatdown!!!!! that’ll teach him!!!

Hearing that clap is like the biggest relief in this entire series… knowing my glorious king Todo is here to save the day…

Itadori was not feeling him though LMAO

A complete episode for once. It's far too late but that's cool we actually got one for the first time since the opening arc. La-di-da.

It's getting boring watching fight with that idiot Mahito for 3 episodes. Just kill him off already. Animation is okayish (if you consider unrecognizable and poor quality-wise fast moving objects on the screen), art and consistency is dog shit. Since a few episodes plot is missing, just fights and fights with out of place Nobara's useless flashbacks. And music? This show has any tracks? Nothing memorable and generic disco-type sounds
@dzudoKing glad to see someone else has taste there. That Nobara flashback was actually criminal. Im tired of seeing this man Mahito too. The fight with him last episode was the only good one but it needed one of them to lose. dragging on...these fights with him are reverting back to mid S1 vibes

finally a more sensible episode, don't know how long that will last though. Todo + Itadori team is super powerful. :/ imagine if Nobara was there to help with her special attacks -_- bruh

the deaths aren't even surprising me at this point. this is what happens when the enemies are OP to a rediculous pont.

eventually holes appear. how is it that all the bad guys have 9 lives?

Just when it looked like all hope had been lost for Itodori, Aoi arrives to not only rescue him but give him the boost he needed to fight back.
We also got another emotional moment with Kasumi and Mechamaru, making for quite the episode.

Very good episode, it is that if... Itadori's spirit was very bad so normal to enter in despair, depression, etc. but nothing that a good optimistic character can't solve.
I love how Itadori and Aoi are so close when it comes to fighting, something very good is coming but they will be able to defeat Mahito... I have my doubts but it is not impossible.
At least Mechamaru could say goodbye to his friends and say in an indirect way that he liked Miwa... a sad and painful moment.

PS: I'm not going to put any hope/faith that Nobura will survive but if he does... excellent because I like him a lot.

PS2: I love that they showed Nobura's body in a crude way

Seeing Yuji sob like that had me in tears too. All of the loss within the past few episodes was too much. I love so many of these characters and the pain just...UGH.

On the bright side, Todo showed up and showed OUT. Loved how he encouraged Yuji. They have great chemistry. I'm happy to see him again because he really grew on me. His personality is something else. Reminds me of a more serious fusion of Alex Armstrong from FMA and Elfman from Fairy Tail.

Yuuji’s mental health is at all low, and has lost all will to fight or react to Mahito. Mahito is just yapping a lot. When he was about to kill Yuuji, Aoi arrived.

When Aoi arrived, Kenjaku had already left with the prison realm containing Gojo. So he decides to help his allies.

Another Nitta uses his cursed technique on Yuuji and Nobara, to help with pain and bleeding. Aoi opens Yuuji’s eyes, and he agrees with him. Aoi and Yuuji attack Mahito together.

There were quite the number of well animated fights throughout season 1, but season 2 really kicks that up a few notches, huh. Before starting JJK, I only knew of its memes out of context, as well as vague comparisons to Chainsawman. I got the general idea of an organization fighting monsters that are the embodiment of the worst fears of humanity, ranging from the supernatural, to natural disasters, to things spawned from other humans.

Now, in my mind, I'd compare it to Chainsawman in terms of overarching themes, but it reminds me a lot more of Hunter x Hunter than anything else. From Hunter x Hunter, I can see the wacky and crazy abilities taken to their logical extremes, particularly when they're perfectly matched up in fights against their direct counters. Both have the concept of applying risks and restrictions on your abilities to increase their effects. I can see the bright young protagonist continuously have his optimism beat out of him before getting reformed in a compromised fashion. I can see a vague sense of pathos given to its villainous group, despite the stacks of bodies they've collected. It feels like JJK tries to touch on a number of themes in quick succession, such as the consolidation of power with the old/wealthy/powerful, weighing the worth of the few over the many, the origins of human evil and whether any amount of good can offset it, and general noblesse oblige for sorcerers. For all its talk though, it really comes down to whomever is stronger making the rules. It all started with a power struggle during Gojo's time as a student, and it'll end with another one I'm assuming, but with Itadori's generation. Well, unless people keep trying to compete for power, which I guess is a foregone conclusion.

Anyways, the fight scenes are certainly a wonder to behold. I like how Itadori, Todo, and Mahito started midway in the subway underground, fight all the way into its depths, then fight all the way back up. The fights really are dynamic, and some of them get really creative. I really liked the section where Mahito tried to crush himself and Itadori, so they had to fight between a wall of concrete and a wall of mutated flesh that kept morphing into dangerous obstacles.

In general, I have a distaste for deaths, but alas. That aside, I wasn't sure about Kugisaki getting seemingly killed, but then the show immediately semi-saves her with a vague "maybe she died, maybe she didn't" move. Not exactly sure where JJK is going with this, but again, regardless if this means death is fickle, I'd like for characters to actually survive and be part of more stories, rather than cutting their own stories short just to further the stories of others.

I will say though, the one thing that bothers me greatly throughout all of this Shibuya arc: why are civilians still meandering about in the open? How are they not hiding, running away, or already dead?

You can't really make that comparison Mahito, and I mean knowing Itadori... he probably did count quite a lot more than you. Still curses are inherently the aggressors, and most are more like forces of nature than sentient beings. But I mean I guess all his flawed logic is kind of the point of the character. It has been all the way from the start. Still he's right about one thing, he is the Antagonist to Itadori, and he is simply exorcising his free will. So in that regard he is very much an accurate portrayal of what "evil" is. Not a vicitim of it's nature but a willing choice, a monster. Like in the Silence of the lambs:
"Why nothing happened to me, Officer Starling. I happened. You can't reduce me to a set of influences. Why, you've given up good and evil for behaviorism, Officer Starling. You've got everybody in moral dignity pants. Nothing is ever anybody's fault. Look at me, Officer Starling. Can you stand to say, I'm evil?" And so in that regard he's right about "I am you" as everyone is capable of choosing good or evil, and so that is in fact a fact he has to face.
(although I don't think that can be applied to all curses, but to the sentient ones... possibly though it's kind of unclear if it's possible for there to be good curse, but I guess there was Rika-Chan)
04:35 MY GOAT
06:55 Pretty much the only people that are alive at this point.
11:21 That's kind of crazy. If she survives that is.
17:00 man this really reopened the wound, I'm still upset he died. Even if it wasn't in vain. He was so cool, just got his body only to die.
21:24 Probably at least in my top 3 favorite characters in this whole show.
