Anne gets thrilling news from Priscilla, her distant relative, the renowned author Mrs. Morgan, is visiting Green Gables for lunch. Overjoyed, Anne and Diana eagerly help Marilla prepare food and decorate the house, but Davy keeps stirring up trouble.

In the end, everyone is let down when Mrs. Morgan cancels due to an injury. But the next day, while Anne and Davy are tidying up, something truly unexpected and wonderful happens.

This episode was such an emotional rollercoaster, just the way we love it! Anne trying to keep everything under control during the dinner, Davy being... well, Davy (I mean, that broken plate moment 😂), and the boat scene with Gilbert?? My heart totally melted. You can really see she's starting to look at him differently 😳💚

The red dye incident was hilarious. Anne never disappoints when she tries to "improve" her looks. But seeing how she (once again) learns to accept herself as she is was really touching. And that scene with Paul Irving at Matthew’s grave... 😥. This series balances comedy and emotion in such a magical way.

Is it just me or the anime still hasn't show the consequence of the local bank failure yet (other than that shock Matthew to death).

Anyway good episode as usual, everyone seem to adjust to a new lifestyle, but the next episode preview seems to be completely in a new environment.

Man this series just loves making me cry! Emotional roller coaster of an episode from Anne and Diana planning for Mrs. Morgan’s visit to Paul opening up and crying in Anne’s arms. Really nothing major happened, but this series makes the most mundane moments feel so powerful. Just seeing the everyday life of Anne in Green Gables resonates with me so much.

I felt so bad when the girls did all that planning just for Mrs. Morgan to not show up :/ it worked out in the end because we got a nice Anne and Gilbert rowing date! They’re already looking like proud parents with Davey and Dora lol. The way Anne looks at Gilbert playing with the kids is so sweet. Remember if you want to impress a girl, be good with kids!

Speaking of good with kids, Anne has really become a safe space for children dealing with trauma. Paul opening up to her about his mom’s death was such a sweet scene! She’s become that great role model that Ms. Stacy was to her. She also has a lot of the same compassion and that gentle touch Matthew had.

Good ending all things considered since Mrs. Morgan finally showed up! I was surprised to see Anne try and hide her freckles tho. That would’ve made sense as a kid, but Anne was supposed to have fully accepted herself several episodes ago with the red hair stuff.. at least she got over that quick and realized a red face isn’t worth it lol.

Nice episode, looking forward to next week!

Davy really cleaned up his act this week, he had a few blunders but they were accidents, allegedly, nah I believe him this time lol. And I guess really it’s a good thing that Mrs. Morgan didn’t show up at that dinner, it’s a shame all that prep was done and she didn’t show but at least she didn’t have to taste those incredibly sweet peas lol. And Mrs. Morgan showed up later anyway so it wasn’t a big deal, Anne turned her nose red which was embarrassing for her but I like that it made Anne learn to appreciate her appearance once again like she did back during the green hair incident, and this time she could make folks laugh about it so I’d call it a win.

The boat scene was pretty wholesome too, short lived but nice, you can tell Anne is getting more and more comfortable with Gilbert here. And the scene with Paul kinda surprised me but it was a very sweet one too, Anne is probably the perfect person to help little Paul out with a situation like that, as sad as it is, but it’s good to have someone to talk to about a lost loved one.

And no new OP or ED yet, perhaps next week? Or maybe we’ll ride this same pair to the end, I wouldn’t mind that because they are very good.

Ah, Anne and her way to paint things...

Cleaning it was way too traumatic for a kid like Davy, even when he's accustomed to disasters

Finally, about this: Yes. I think everyone should have someone who looks at them this way

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

The letter that comes from Priscilla about Anne's favourite author of Mrs. Morgan, as much as the two kids of Davy and Dora have settled into Green Gables, is quite the moment for the red-haired to want to impress.

With the help of Diana, the planning is off to a good start, though the anticipation of waiting for their anticipated guest to arrive, plus with Davy's antics that would've made a bad situation worse, Anne was just frantically trying to get things along, though to the "relief" that Mrs. Morgan had sprained her ankle, and Rachel being the messenger, almost as if to scare them off. What an anticlimactic day...

As promised, Anne bringing Davy and Dora to go boat rowing alongside Gilbert for extra safety measure, they're already looking more like a couple in the making. And the regular visit to Matthew's grave, with Paul in tow, it certainly is a heartwarming moment to share a solemn moment together. And what seemed like the regular time off to clean up the house, the unexpectedness of Mrs. Morgan arriving at her place with what is supposed to be her frackle lotion (that turned out to be Marilla's red dye for fabrics and the like), it certainly gave a fright to the guests and Diana herself for her unruly red nose.

For all the inconveniences, there's fun and laughter to be had.

I respect that Anne can recognize when Davy's messes are because of a genuine accident instead of him being Davy, and man, her line about never wanting a loss to stop hurting hit a little too close to home.

Love that even as a grown up, Anne is still arch nemeses with dyes lol

LOL even though Anne is a grown up now she still makes silly mistakes, this time it was red paint to hide her freckles that gave her a red nose lol right when the novelist she was expecting for days just arrived at the house xD great episode

It has been 10 months already since Davy and Dora came to Green Gables. Time is moving fast.

When they said Anne's favorite author Mrs. Morgan was coming to visit I was wondering how they were gonna fck it up. But I'm surprised Davy was mostly good in this episode and didn't cause any problems intentionally. He's growing.

I loved this episode. It felt like an older episode when Anne was younger. I love seeing that she still has that old self still in her. Last time she messed up her hair, and this time she messed up her nose lol. Seems like she still had insecurities about her freckles even after she got over her red hair. What's wrong with freckles? I think she looks cute with them. I'll never understand why redheads or gingers have a bad reputation.

Well, at least she got to meet Mrs. Morgan and was able to tell her a good story. The next episode looks interesting.

I don't get why the subs said Anne was gonna have dinner with Mrs. Morgan and the others when she was clearly saying lunch and that's what it clearly was.

@0451 when i was reading the novel i was also confused by the lunch/dinner thing, since they would call the meal dinner but it was early in the day. dinner would be the correct term historically but it would definitely be considered lunch modern day. it does seem kind of nice to have your main meal in the middle of the day, though maybe they were onto something LOL

I really liked the scene when Anne and Gilbert went to the lake and they took with them Davy and Dora. Very sweet that Davy listened to what Gilbert said to him.
I think both Anne and Gilbert remembered what happened in that place a few years ago, but, now, things feel so different and right, that everything was forgiven.
The scene with Paul telling his family story was a very touching moment. This shows that Anne is much more than a great teacher, she's an amazing educator, a person full of empathy and compassion.
Anne dyed something again, but this time, was her nose turning to red... She mistake it again with a bottle of Marilla, but gladly she was fast to recognize her mistake and she's gaining gradually more acceptance of who she is and the things that she disliked in her.
It was still a good episode, but, again, this adaptation is cut off some chapters of the book.
At this rate, I think they will adapt the 3rd book (Anne of the Island)...

Davy was annoying again, but not nearly as bad as the previous episode. His actions have improved, but his way of talking is still extremely unlikeable. Hopefully he matures immensely in the future.

Anne with her dye accident was hilarious. I especially love the scene where Diana tries her best to help Anne rub the dye off from her nose. If there's one thing I really love about this episode, it's about how the dye accident really highlights Anne's charm. She's able to spin an embarrassing situation into a tale for others to laugh at fondly. I really admire that about her.

Oh my I really love this episode and seeing Anne growing up to be a responsible adult is so charming to see.

Based on the title and the preview, I think we're about to see Anne and Gilbert become a couple!!

Time really flies in Anne Shirley. This was a good one, even if it was a bit of a lot of things. I felt a connection to Anne when she was told that she expects so much when something is planned/announced and then gets jerked back down to reality.
