| Just like Blue Exorcist, this series got sequel years later. But different from Blue Exorcist, I don't understand why I like this series. The fights are quite boring, especially the Leonardo one. It's just "keep getting stonger" contest while Joker watching in the background. Why Joker didn't help Oubi while Shinra keep Leonardo busy? Is it more important to watch the fight than helping the 8th leader? Interestingly Shinra now can use blue flame like Blue Exorcist's MC lol. I feel that another cour can't finish the story, it will be very rushed. Need 2 more cours at least. Scootboi said: Electricity was enough of an asspull, but gravity now? No, Shinra went back to past before the Great Cataclysm happened and got confused by how the people of past look because the world used to look like our real life world. After the Great Cataclysm happened the world of imagination began and everyone look like anime characters. In other worlds the world went from a live action to anime.

| Seems like next season we will enter the past, basically Tokyo of today. Time travels are always a bit iffy in anime, so it will be interesting to see how they handle it. Was a pretty good season, definitely enjoyed the first half more than the second half though. Still quite satisfying overall, 8/10. |

I mean, even the less than a minute switch to Yuuichirou finishing off the kaijuu was not only more interesting, but better animated... seriously, who on the staff likes this character this much lol.
Got a bit more lore on Raffles and Amaterasu, which would be fine... in any other episode that isn't the finale. Because whatever the hell I watched that followed was certainly... an experience to say the least. | @IzanaSolos As someone who enjoyed seasons 1 & 2, I have to agree with you. I often finished episodes thinking to myself “that’s it?” I genuinely enjoyed the fights between Shinra and Captain Burns, Arthur and Dragon, and the squad against Gold. The final episode’s Evangelion-esque photo realistic scene was shocking and left me feeling unnerved. But between those fights and that ending felt like a whole lot of nothing. I understand that it’s set-up for the second part but the pacing felt off. I’m really not a big fan of splitting seasons into two parts, but it’s the norm nowadays. I’m looking forward to the second part nonetheless but this season definitely felt like the weakest. |

Wow, they must have saved a lot of time and money for the animation of this episode in particular. Lots of windows media player animations and even a black and white slideshow of japan, all under the banner of "artistic direction".

@joemaamah dude, if you are that fucking braindead to think the animation was "bad" you should never watch anime again. you are a disgrace. imagine hating on masterful work of animators, who likely spent weeks to create it.. and, the animation WAS incredible, it was done perfectly. holy shit.
