Knuckle becoming like a detective this episode.

Pop and the department store seems out of character for her. I was more used to her idol character image but oh well. Ugh, still can't stand Captain Celebrity in this show.

Damn, shit became so serious!

I expected Knuckleduster to be looking for revenge but not his daughter..😱😱
Did Hachisuka's quirk awakening mess her up and she ended up hurting her mom !? Or did she take over Knuckle's daughter's body like she seemed to have did it with her friend as well.
Hachisuka's playing the role of her friend in school and occupying her home after killing her parents it seems or they're her own parents..and she's so comfortable living with their dead bodies
😭😭

Can't wait to see how things are gonna go in the next episode.

Kinda weird to have a subplot about organizing a concert in lengthy details and in the middle of a revenge plot. But hey, more Koichi and Kazuho time and it seems the plots are connected, let's see what kind of disaster awaits the vigilantes.

I still like this episode even though nothing happen. But calling it "nothing happen" might not be fair because something is really happening, something very important...

I love how citizen begin to realized that lately Kaiju-type villain appear too many times, it's almost like they're self-aware. Captain Celebrity may have many flaws but at least he's very quick to reach a crime scene, and this time even faster than vigilante.

Well apparently Takeshi Kuroiwa is just an alias. His last name is Oguro and it seems that Kuin Hachisuka is responsible for his wife’s condition, and something happened to their daughter as well. Not only that, but it seems that he’s using Koichi and Kazuho as bait to get more leads. That’s honestly scummy because he hasn’t let them in on his intentions.

On the other side of things, Kazuho is nervous about her performance on the roof of the Marukane Department Store in East Naruhata. Luckily, Koichi contacted Makoto, who now knows the vigilante identities of The Crawler, Pop Step, and Knuckleduster (granted, she doesn’t know his real name), and she’s gonna help to make this even better. She is apparent the Chief Manager of the Captain Celebrity Agency and she was able to not only bring more attention to Pop Step by organizing an ensemble, but bring more publicity to Captain Celebrity to improve his image as A Man’s Man.

I wonder if all pro heroes have their damages covered by insurance like Christopher Skyline or if that’s just a perk of him being America’s Number One Hero? That would likely mean that All Might likely has that kind of insurance and he might get a better deal because he minimizes property damage when he does hero work.

It seems thought that Kuin Hachisuka is an alias, and it seems that she killed her parents and their corpses are just sitting on the couch. Well, Knuckleduster has tracked her down so now a one on one fight may ensue.

I’m looking forward to both the concert and this conflict. Will the two intertwine? Kuin did mention wanting to make the concert more fun, so it’s possible…

This episode felt slower paced, but it still left one hell of a plot development involving Hachisuka and Knuckleduster. It looks like she did something that screwed over his family, as was shown with his wife still in hospital in a worrying condition. I do admire his relaxed and optimistic considering how much this must be hurting him on the inside, but at least he how now found out where she is, so you can bet that he'll do what he can to take her down or at least know more about why she attacked his family in the first place. As long as some questions gets answered here, I'll be happy. =)

In other developments, an upcoming department store indie concert, thanks to Makoto's help, should give Kazuho a chance to get some confidence growth, although she's feeling too pessimistic about her abilities and whether she belongs on the upcoming stage or not. While he's not always reliable, Koichi is doing his best to give Kazuho words of encouragement, so hopefully his efforts will pay off. This should help Kazuho to believe in her own skills more, which I'd gladly welcome.

@Sheol01 BRO THE WHOLE "DAUGHTER TURNED EVIL" WASN'T EVEN A THOUGHT IN MY MIND. He did mention bringing her back, so that may be what's going on.

If that's the case, that would mean the "mom" and "dad" at her house were just either strangers or her adoptive parents. Things may be more complicated if your theory is correct.

Otherwise, their daughter is an unrelated matter.

We've entered the final arc of this season with Knuckleduster's situation put more in context regarding his wife as well as Hachisuke's nefarious dude. That's some creepy villain considering all that has been shown not only in this episode but before that and I can understand him having her at a chase. On the other hand Pop is netering her first gig and while Koichi doesn't know how to give her support it's Makoto's contact abilities that became impressive. Getting some insight into what Knuckleduster has been up to! The old man has been constantly slinking off to somewhere else. Saying that he's had business to take care of or a place to be. Now we know he goes to the hospital to visit his wife. The glimpses into what happened and how the bees are linked have me interested in seeing more. He even hired Soga to try and find Hachisuka, going off her school uniform. The card he showed Koichi mom with his name on them isn't even his real name! Just an easy way to contact him. So many mysteries surrounding this guy that we're only getting bits and pieces of. The end of the episode showing him laying eyes on Hachisuka should lead to a crazy showdown since he doesn't have a quirk.

Pop finally got what could be her big break. I get she's nervous about screwing it up and all further opportunities vanishing. But now she has the chance to break out of just being a local amateur idol! This performance could rocket her career into the mainstream. Makoto comes in clutch making it extravagant and big, calling in Captain Celebrity to make a cameo. Two very differently toned storylines in this episode I'm excited to see how they converge!

@phantomfandom There is no hero named "vigilante", so I think you meant "faster than the vigilantes".

Two, I disagree with the whole "nothing happen" when there are two events that may collide in the next episode. Just because there isn't a bunch of action doesn't mean things aren't taking place.

@nhkam I don't know why you're trying to say it as if they should have instantly provided that. Firstly, we knew about Koichi's background enough to get attached to him from the very first episode, and Pop Step conceals herself, so it makes sense that we don't know too much about her.

The most interesting thing in terms of background information is Knuckleduster's connection to Kuin Hachisuka.

Looks like there is some relationship between Knuckleduster and Hachisuka. I think she is his daughter and what happened was that she inherited the bees from her mother and this made her mother catatonic. Could be that Hachisuka was a bit twisted to start with and the event warped her further turning her into a villain. That is my theory anyway.

Nice to get a little backstory on Knuckleduster. Looks like he in fact does use a fake name on his business card. Guess some users shouldn't jump to conclusions, huh? His wife looks really similar to the people who the Hachisuka was sitting on the couch with, only difference them being dead, of course. I have a feeling those aren't her actual parents. I just get this weird feeling that she's actually Knuckleduster's daughter. It's possible she too is wearing contacts and has her hair dyed.

Excited to see Pop's upcoming concert too. Glad she's finally getting a bit of the spotlight too. Captain Celebrity is still trying to fix his image too, I'm sure the the captain celebrity clan was happy to see him this week. But I have to give it to Makoto, she's sharp. Helping both her position on CC's team as well as helping Pop.

Next week should be juicy.

To answer one of the first posts in this thread, yes that did remind me of Marguerite lol, that was downright foul, maybe it’s time to replay Resident Evil 7.

And this was pretty much a setup episode but it was a really good one, this upcoming event sounds like a really good time thanks to the adjustments Makoto made, of course there’s no way it goes as planned but I’m excited to see how it goes down, Pop Step’s nervousness about it is pretty cute too. It wasn’t all setup tho, we also got some backstory teases for Knuckleduster and Hachisuka, it’s making a lot more sense now why Knuckleduster has been so focused on the case with Queen Bee now, there aren’t many details yet but I can’t blame the man one bit for hunting for her, Hachisuka even messed up her own family (assuming that’s them, the post above me is making me doubt that now lol) so I hope she gets what’s coming to her, I just have a feeling this night encounter isn’t gonna turn out the way I want it to lol.

And I also think it’s likely that Hachisuka had a terrible upbringing or something, I want to think she’s irredeemable but I just have this feeling she turned out this way from bad circumstances, whether I’m right or not I am very interested in what’s up with her and why she did what she did to Knuckleduster’s wife.

@Niwaka-Samurai I was reading the chapters per release, but I think it'll still be a bit before they explain more about Hachisuka's Quirk, since it's unusual in a few ways, not just the apparent infestation ability that is all kinds of body horror

@KingBaller06 Would you just tell people about your investigation into something that involves people you have a past relationship with and they suffered immensely? It's cliched, but vigilantes in comics do this all the time. Arrow made seasons out of this kind of stuff with Oliver especially

This concert and Kuin will be connected, we'll also be getting more Pop centered development, which is kind of obvious to a degree with her getting this kind of focus for an event that's not just a guerilla style performance like she's done before. The manga had me excited and seeing it animated will probably be even crazier, since there's the overlap of music and the grandiose scenes

@Meta_Yoshi Kazuho's arc is probably very relatable to a lot of people, not just teen girls like one would think, though it does speak more about that gendered issue in a sense that young boys won't have the same kind of perspective on.

@AnimeNerd99 He's probably up there in terms of the most macho training characters in anime, especially if we rule out series that are kind of macho from the start, like Grappler Baki or Fist of the North Star. But we would include Tenjou Tenge, where Mitsuomi has a crazy training scene with a freaking bull. And probably even stuff like Demon Slayer or the like, where we literally see steam coming off these people who worked themselves up into a sweat

@deg I'm reminded of Hima Ten, which I'd be amazed if it garners enough popularity to get an anime and will watch it guaranteed like I do with virtually any Weekly Shounen Jump series (and some other Jump stuff, like Black Torch from Jump SQ that's been greenlit). Female lead is the president of her own fashion brand and makeup brand. And she's kind of a slob in her own house, while Makoto seems a lot more competent or gives off that vibe.

FEels like she has to work hard not only in proving herself repeatedly, but arguably moreso to maintain her appearance like this, especially if she's also in college, plus doing work for CC and other projects on the side like this

The Marukane Department Store song is pretty catchy in the simplicity, but the lyrics also sounding very familiar and down to earth. Even the animation is more child like, so it adds to the appeal, like something from the 70s or 80s anime wise

The moment with Hachisuka having what seems like a headache or such is hinting at something with her Quirk and/or mental state, almost like she's dissociating or otherwise changing her personality in response to something, even fighting for control in some way. If you know, you know, but I must've forgotten the reveal, because it's mid level body horror, but no less disturbing
