Meg makes another new friend! Good for her. Feels like she's meant all kinds of characters in this season.

This magic festival also brings together more witches in this show so that's cool to see. The only person that gave ominous vibes is Eldora so far.

Megu getting the interest of some powerful and popular figures.
And things were getting to her head again.
The part with Inori was funny tho.
And we got to see a good part of a witch we didn't know yet.
I also wonder about Eldora, what is her interest in Megu.

The episode had a crazy start, and it was funny how the kids were pitying Meg for her behavior.

I can clearly see why Chloe was crowned as the World Beauty Witch, but apparently, she's actually Wendy. Nonetheless, this doesn't change the fact that she's a bombshell. And respect to Meg for knowing her stuff—she knows what to appreciate and what to squeeze.

The face Carbuncle made after Chloe left her snot on its face, as if little bro was violated, was priceless. When Shirofukurou was being an obedient little familiar to Sophie, Meg was going full bloodthirsty mode—it was hilarious.

We finally see the witch from the last episode's ending. Her encounter with Meg was rather weird, as she walked up to her and talked about Meg’s curse, implying that if it’s lifted, she’ll lose something important. That raises a lot of questions—does she mean Meg will lose her ability to use magic? That seems like the strongest possibility. Or maybe she could lose her memories or something else just as vital. I'm curious—do Meg and Eldora have some kind of history?

Another funny part came when Chloe's age was revealed, and Meg called her a Lolibaba, acting like a kid as Faust’s diehard fan.

Meg hasn’t gotten any noticeable character development yet, but she has definitely started making connections with the people around her.

Glad to see Sophie is back, she and Meg really have the best chemistry.
Meg and Chloe's first meeting was hilarious all along, hope we'll get to see her again.
On the other hand, Eldora is a gloomy character and she made a scary prediction about Meg's future, let's see how it will pan out.
Loved all the little bits of world-building this week, one of the best episodes in doing so.

Overall, a pretty fun and lighthearted episode, with plenty of nice moments :)

Genuinely hate how underrated this show is rn!! This cast are just so fun to watch every week! Sophie back on my screen finally, missed her sm(I know it’s only been an episode lol) and it’s time for the special magic ceremony!

This was a really chill episode, no big plot developments, but we got to see just how big and diverse the magical world is. The North American Holy Land felt like something out of Harry Potter and meeting Chloe showed us the different types of witches and “magic” that exist in the world. I like that the North American witches incorporate more spirits into their magic, nice subtle reference to Native American traditions!

I figured the Chloe we saw win the beauty competition wasn’t the real Chloe by how Sophie looked at Meg crazy when she said Chloe was gorgeous lol. I like how Meg’s collecting the most powerful magic users as friends like pokemon! She and the real Chloe were really fun to watch today.

I just hope Inori bathed before she showed up to this event 😭 don’t need her scaring off visitors with them Stanky ass feet

Ah so the witch from last week’s end scene is Eldora, the witch of disaster. She seems scary, but I reckon she’s got a good heart just a very dark curse/ability that prevent her from connecting to other people. Hope we see more of her in the last few eps especially since she could have more info about Meg’s curse! That warning she gave Meg was ominous, “When your curse is lifted you’ll lose something important.” That’s probably going to be Faust isn’t it 😢

So essentially in the future Meg will beat the curse but lose something she holds precious to her which isn't her own life. Im guessing perhaps its someone close to her. Like Faust maybe.

I don't speak much Japanese, but Chloe really does sound like an old man, or how some ageless being would speak in an anime. Did I get the wrong idea?

I really like seeing more lore and a new friend, but the anime sure moved on from last episode's "why do you help people" question real quick...

The plot thickens. Will the mysterious and menacing Eldora help or hinder S'berry?? And what part will the Witch of Words play?? Stay tuned for the answers to these, and more!

So basically they went to a magical Expo.

I wonder if the "disaster" that will come upon Meg is the death of Faust. She is her only family, so it makes sense that Meg would mourn her loss greatly.

Just to repeat what others are saying,
1) This show is ridiculously underrated ✔️
2) The "witch's death" of the title feels like it could be Faust ✔️
but hopefully no one dies, but with an ed so hauntingly melancholy it seems inevitable someone will

I said this before in a previous episode and I'm more convinced of that in this episode and that is that Meg has reincarnated from another world and was also a man because now even Faust thinks she's acting like a dirty old man lol. Although I gotta say that Chloe Wendy is a hottie so I can't blame Meg for how she reacted...

On a more serious note, there was some foreshadowing with a new witch (I think she was briefly shown in the previous episode) named Eldora warning Meg that her curse being lifted will cost her to a point where she would want to give up her life, damn. My guess is that someone else will die and that is Faust. That would explain why Faust is trying to get Meg to appreciate life more and be a better person.

Really glad to see Sophie again! And the lolibaba was cute too lol
Eldora... what did she mean when she said Meg is going to lose something more precious than her own life if she breaks the curse? I mean, I do have some things I can think of, but I'm praying it's not it :c

I don't know, Eldora's warning makes you think that once Meg's curse is lifted someone will die, and by the way she says it our immediate guess is Faust, but I don't think is that, maybe she won't be able to practice magic again or will lose her memories or something like that.

Lol, they spoiled the twist about Chloe in the TV segment at the beginning.

I have some ideas on what the precious thing Meg supposedly loses could be aside from another character dying, but I'll keep them to myself.

Great episode, Sophie is back! (that was fast lol), and Chloe made the episode fun!

I'm pretty sure that what Eldora said means that if Meg removes the curse, Faust will die, since she is immortal Meg would completely lose her which is something that isn't supposed to ever happen.

Honestly I feel like either Meg will lose Ms Faust, while lifting the curse (Ms Faust, giving her life away for her)
or she will become immortal without the curse and she will lose her "ability to die" and pass on with time

Meg might be my favourite anime dirty old man.
It feels like the obvious thing she'll lose is her mentor, but it's also possible she might lose her ability to use magic or something along those lines. Will wait and see. Both work for me.

I'm quite busy at work and missed this episode. Man, Meg is crazy, right, Ms. Faust?

How someone as cute as Meg is as crazy as Meg? Need proof? Watch this:

No wonder Ms. Inori said this:

She was isekai'd into this story. Previously, she was a pervy old man hahaha!

Ms. Eldora added the "To be continued" button to this episode. She knows something, perhaps who cursed Meg (probably someone she sees in the mirror every day, I think)

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

TRUE. Who could be the Tsunade that will more or less fix her, if that's even possible? hahaha

@LaczPro19 I'm not sure we've met a resident drunk yet but we do have Miss Chloe, who hides her true age with magic, Inori also does so she could be a good fit as well.

@Sheol01 In my opinion she's your typical "misunderstood" or "don't judge a book by its cover" type of character.

She's the witch of calamity who uses curses. I think it makes sense why she's so gloomy. In other words, she's likely not happy with her own powers but still takes responsibilities since she's OP; which makes her an amazing character.

I'm worried about her predicting the end of Meg's curse. She already spoils that Meg won't die but lose something more precious than her own life. I think it can only be Faust. Other option would be her memories, but that doesn't make much sense here.

Another thing I wonder about is what power Meg holds. There has to be a reason why Faust is testing Meg. I mentioned this before but to me it feels like Faust is preparing Meg for something. Maybe Meg will be a goddess of all witches one day?)

Dunno, but this show is so so very enjoyable and intriguing.

el_morris said:

I also thought about memory loss since that's the ultimate price paid by MC in a certain show, but why would that become necessary? Meg isn't a powerful mage at all. Faust would not want or allow Meg to sacrifice her magic/memories for Faust's sake.
I also don't think magic is more important and irreplaceable than life for Meg.

Maybe Meg'll become a higher being
and be like a guardian or something who can no longer live like a human or among humans for eternity? That'd suck...

At this point I think tear-fest is guaranteed at the end. Let's just hope it won't be tragic.

It's just a nickname, and yet, Meg is back to being her egoistic self...

The grand festival ceremony of magic and technology that's open every 20 years, and Meg has earned enough reputation to be accompanied by Sophie (since Faust is too agile to go). Furthermore, since Chloe, the Witch of Words, is also going to be at the festival (which ironically shows Meg's pervertic side lol), and coupled with Sophie's immense popularity, Meg is left to her own devices, being wretched by a North American young girl whom spirits surround her fervently, the two can only pair with each other for now.

Still, the festival is alive from business conversations to performances, though Meg meeting Eldora, the Witch of Disasters, in a moment of warning that she'll lose something precious, it's an ominous sight, though being one of the Seven Sages, she's not to be discounted for her deeds like putting an end to wars. Together with Bennett the Sage of Beginnings, the planet core project to revitalize Earth, it sounds like a grandiose project. And the young girl is soon known as the real Chloe, though the one with the big boobs is her apprentices of Wendy, the double of someone who can't use magic as a half-spirit, half-human, though Meg calling her a "legit lolibaba" is funny (and honestly a bit too far lol) and as a hardcore fan of Faust.

At the very least, this was a bi-decade ceremony that still leaves Meg incurable of her own curse...

Meg is such a delightful goofball. You'd think her achieving a new title such as The Witch of Lapis would impress the kids. Nope, her eccentric behavior only makes it a pitiable achievement. It'd be tragic if it wasn't so funny.

Chloe hanging out with Meg all episode was amusing. I foresaw Chloe being one of the witches, but her being 150 years old was a surprise. She could have fooled me!

That great plan to make another core of the earth using magic sounds high risk from the premise alone, but if the sages can't do it. Who can?

I'm glad they are building on the environmental aspects of the show. It felt like an after-thought when it was introduced. The big gathering was like a green convention, but was it bad for the environment? I like how it was in a secret magic location. The new characters were mysterious too.

It was obvious before and now is confirmed.

OF COURSE Faust will not allow any shitty curse kill her factual only daugther.

That's why since the begin Faust is so chill about this. But the way to save Meg is sacrifying herself.

And also make sense that Faust cannot tell it to Meg.

So this show is all about Faust making Meg become more mature, more experienced and a better person, to suceed herself.
