Damn this hits hard, but im pretty sure Ushio is alive.
The normal shadows were just rewinded when looping so she can not be counted as a normal shadow. And if she had really died she would have been rewinded like the others.
I think that she is still alive in some hidden form, which would explain why her old self here just vanished. She just replaced her old self while looping with Shinpei as usual.
My guess is that she is actually the shadow eye that Shinpei has for some reason. I think it was mentioned during the flashback that this split off piece from Haine could be her. And then there is this "I will always be with you" which could be meant literally.

Anyways, author better not kill off the best girl here.

Oh-oh Spaghetti-os, since a shadow can live for a week, if it doesn't kill the original, does that mean the priest always have a shadow in spare? That's a protagonist's plan, really smart.

Why would Ushio die? It's not like Ushio depends on Shinpei. It would make sense is Ushio exists in this new loot, albeit she has no memory of what happens in the future (When she died).

Nah, there's no way in hell Ushio is lost forever. I refuse to believe it!
