| This is literally designated with a guy and a girl paired up together. Seen the trailers before although I haven't read the light novel of this. I will say Himari has a colorful personality being protrayed so far in the show. She has her hands all over Yuu in several segments. Got to see a little bit of both of their childhoods so far but I'm not impressed by Yuu's personality yet. I can feel the romance vibes though, or at least all the teases going on. "BFFS". I'm sure that will be used around a lot. |

| Yeah no, the amount of times they spammed the word “friendship” or “friend” during this entire episode can easily make an entry into the guinness book. Seriously lol, for once I’m glad we didn’t have something like the girl falling for the guy the moment he breathed, but yeah, this is just… a bit awkward, I mean you see, the girl talks with the guy as if she knew him since ages, in their flashbacks that is. As in present, their conversations just sound like they’re going out and are planning a marriage any other day. I get that she’s with him because she wants to be a part of the greater cause dude is after, but still lol. Guy takes an interest in tending to flowers and yeah it shows, I mean he knows the kind of flower he should keep a distance with. As much as I didn’t mind the blue-girl's bubbly personality, I knew the other girl was just here to stir up things. Not that it started yet, but yeah it’ll. Anyway, not a bad start or anything, but I can see misunderstandings and stuff building up later. As long as they do it within the limits, it works. |
| Novelist Nana Nanana's series has been one of the few anticipated rom-com shows, and for good reason this season. The close friendship of the plant-loving boy of Yu Natsume, as well as the bubbly girl of Himari Inuzuka, both 2nd Year Senpais, though Yu spending his days in the science club making and selling flower accessories, as opposed to Himari just playing around and teasing him, she would help him find sales and profit from them by making more of it. Yu being the introvert calm in his own skin, and there's Himari just being the cute girl disturbing him to no end. Though this has been 2 years since the school bazaar that he's been actively trying to sell them, the friendship of both Yu and Himri starting from there with the dream of opening a flower accessory shop one day. And yep, Himari may have her jokes to help set up Yu for trouble, and she always finds endless fun, for someone who doesn't get romance and relies on the friendship to stay afloat, regardless of the circumstances. That's until a girl comes around on Yu's radar having bought his flower bracelet, only for it to be broken, and him reaching out his help to her...to pure embarrassment. Of course, Himari would get wind of this and tease him to no end, as always. The good friend and joker womanizer of Shinji Makishima coming around to add to the allure as ex-partners, as well as the mysterious girl of Rion Enomoto (the daughter of a confectionary shop) being his childhood friend, as well as relations from siblings alike, all 4 students are closely related together. But for now, Rion just needs her flower bracelet fixed, and Himari is not helping with her ever-so-nonchalant attitude, even having to grab Rion's breasts out of spite lols. And Yu being so fixated on his craft for the girls to play with his hair, that's certainly karma...out of teasing once again. Sure, Himari's maintaining her friendship well, but Rion is having other ideas that could destroy that comfort zone. HoneyWorks feat. HaKoniwalily's OP is fun. Just like Class no Daikirai last season, this show is pretty much in the same reign, but without any forced circumstances of the former, so should be easier to swallow. Decent start. |

| "I'm just not fond of pretty girls"... I think there's a certain sexuality that describes what you are perfectly man. Truth be told though, this whole premise of "Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Hold Up" really makes no sense because simple answer, uh, it can lol. After a while of spending time with a girl like this, especially for someone like our MC that "isn't fond of pretty girls", you just start to see them as another one of the homies like lol. But trouble does arise when you have a Boy-Girl Friendship, things like people thinking you two are dating just because of how close the two of you are, or when one, or both, get their own respective partners, it wouldn't be wrong for their partners to think something fishy is happening with how close they are, and them being in a relationship. Clearly that's what's happening with our main heroine and her relationships. But back to the main premise at hand, and you know, the title of the show, eleven minutes in... and would you know it, we not only get a namedrop... BUT WE ALSO ANSWER THE QUESTION BEING ASKED IN SAID TITLE... "Yes it can".... OK! But I guess in order for the plot to happen, this just does NOT apply for our main "couple" here because as she said just seconds later, "I want to kiss and have sex with him"... LIKE WHAT. Sorry, but yeah, shit's not happening, with the mix of him not liking pretty girls, and him legit seeing you as a fellow homie by now, sorry Himari, just call it quits lol. I might have complained about how kinda stupid the main premise is, but you know, something about wanting to see how exactly this boy and girl friendship will hold up kind of intrigues me. And something about this is just screaming Twitter or just people in general complaining about how annoying Himari is, and to that I say, you clearly aren't who this show is appealing to... because you clearly haven't been in a said Boy-Girl Friendship, because yeah, the girl in the friendship is always annoying lol. It's part of what makes it a friendship and not a relationship... I would hope for this "couple", at least lol. Other than this being pretty accurate, the second surprise to me is looking at the credits and expecting like 50+ 2nd KAs considering this is a J.C. Staff production, to be met with... only two 2nd KAs? I'm sorry, WHAT? A HEALTHY J.C. STAFF PRODUCTION!??! Can't be. Especially considering that, if you didn't know already, the same team working on this is also the same team working on OPM S3... so uh, yeah, just because of that, I'M IN LMAOO. Not bad, but not anything crazy yet, I guess. |

| The series is watchable, and the premise is alright. There are bound to be plenty of jealous moments between the girls in the future. Himari and Yuu have great chemistry, since they’ve been best friends for two years now. It’s funny that Himari’s big brother likes Yuu—I’m pretty sure he’d be thrilled if Yuu married Himari. Himari’s kind of scary, dating just to pass the time. But Shinji is just as bad, having who knows how many girlfriends at once. Yuu has probably fallen for Rion now, and now that Rion knows Yuu is the one who made her bracelet, he might have a chance with her. With Himari realizing that someone else sees Yuu’s true worth—and maybe starting to see her own feelings more clearly—she’s definitely going to make a move on him. |

| Seems a bit like something i have seen before i remember something similar last year but i hope this is a bit more unique. Guess we have to wait and see tho for now the girls seem a bit interesting even if the blue haired one is a bit hyper. The main must have pretty strong legs to be able to carry her for such a long time without getting tired. |

| The dynamic between Yuu and Himari was light and fun, with well-built chemistry right from the start. The way the episode balanced comedy and more subtle moments was better than I expected. Even though the premise is already somewhat familiar (friendship between different genders = potential romance), the timing of the dialogue and the smooth animation gave the episode its own personality. Himari is the kind of character who could easily fall into the “bubbly friend” stereotype, but she has a certain charm and emotional timing that save her. The visuals are pleasant, and the facial expressions convey the characters’ emotions well. Well, I think it’s clear that this is going to be a love triangle, and if the anime manages to develop it naturally, it could turn into a romcom well above average. It’s not the boldest premiere of the season, but it was solid. I hope it keeps focusing on emotional development and not just fanservice for ships. |
| Himari would've already been entertaining with her personality alone but making the MC's male best friend be one of her (several) exes is wild. Reassuring to know the cast will be lively at least. |

| The characterization is developing well. Himari is a gas, with her energy, forwardness, teasing, affection, humor, and everything else. I like longer hair better, but her cut works with her personality. Yuu, I hardly even noticed him. Rion, who bounces between, tsudere, smouldering, and intese, look like she will develop into someone interesting. Sakura just barely in the opener, but she will fill the dependable sister slot. I ma guessing that she is older, but cannot tell from looks. Just a glimpse at Shinji, but it seems he will be the good and funny wingman type. Rion's sister just had a cameo so far, not sure how significant she will become. Looks obviously like we will get the love polygon or harem with a forgone conclusion plot. That fight between Rion and Himari was hilarious, and tired trope of the girl fondling another girls boobs was made significantly funnier than most here. Well, Himari you are really a treasure, looking far beyond Yuu's personality so far. If you are still single at 30, or better say, at 18, come give me a call. This rich powerful old Evil Overlord's hands are well experienced, enthusiastic, a bit skilled, only sometimes greasy, while I am cooking something wonderful for you. How do you like BBQ? |

| The main girl is so obnoxious, arrogant & selfish. you know girls like her subconsciously look down on the MC and think she owns him and can get him anytime she wants to. friendzone the guy she likes the most to save him for the future, while flirting with and fucking random guys she doesn't actually care about for fun (yea I know this is anime so they'd make her unrealistically pure & untouched anyway) too common in real life. |

I love the girls chemistry with the MC so much already. This has all the makings of one of those classic romcoms that blows up. Great cast, cute style and genuinely pretty funny! Himari automatically best girl for encouraging Yu to become an entrepreneur and start his accessory business. That’s actually so dope seeing an MC who’s not worried about girls or the standard otaku shit and is just trying to make money and create art for people to enjoy! She gotta stop deluding herself into thinking they’re just best friends tho, girl you are in LOVE. You talk about another guy in front of all your boyfriends, dump them because they’re “boring” aka not Natsume.. better make a move before another girl comes up. Speaking of which, looks like we got a love triangle brewing on our hands with Ennochi and Himari! Love their banter, the witty comebacks, Himari being an absolute degen and grabbing boobs lmao. Had fun with this one and I’m excited to see where it goes. Looks like Fridays are gonna be insane this season! |

| A 12 episode romantic comedy with a love triangle is always good for the soul. I really like the chemistry between Himari and Yuu; it's been a while since I've seen the cloying but teasing best friend trope. I'm not sure if this will turn into a harem, but I hope so, because it's hard to pick a favorite. The first episode already established the future love triangle. On the one hand, Himari deeply understands Yuu and has even proposed to her, but that makes me think she will never take the step of confessing her feelings to him (since she's probably in love). On the other hand, Rion, while initially volatile with Yuu, has now connected with his passion and seems to share a past history with him. It's an entertaining and decent start, let's see how it evolves. |

| Okay, gotta mention how good of a prologue this is, but guess it is to be expected, since it's J.C Staff after all. Firstly, don't know how this just has 400 users, but i'm guessing it's gonna blow up a few days or weeks later, due to how really good it is. Firstly, love how bold the heroine is, she reminds me of Fuuka though, due to how much they look alike, both having light blue hair and all. That aside, loved that brown-haired dude who popped outta nowhere, i have a hunch he's gonna be hilarious in the future. Anyway, secondly, love the MC as well, he doesn't appear to be the overly shy typical romantic MC, so i like him too. Last but not least, that dark-haired girl giving me the grade-school crush vibe, who the MC was talking about a few minutes earlier before the cliffhanger, but this apparently doesn't seem to be a love polygon, so i don't know what role that dark-haired girl is gonna play in the anime. Nonetheless, the heroine is pretty adorable, the MC is quite cute himself, excited to see how this is gonna go. I'm guessing she's gonna start having feelings for him but not realize em until later? Maybe even too late? Maybe we actually have a love polygon and the dark-haired girl might win? Dunno anything since i just got into it seeing as it's done by J.C Staff, and as expected of em, really loved this prologue! |

| Himari is an entertaining and cute bundle of energy that I can't help but smile at. She's certainly cheeky, but I do like her chemistry with Yuu when it comes to their solid friendship and the pretty flower accessories. Since this is a rom-com series and with Rin being another important character that'll make this trio even more fun to watch, the thought of romance will play its part more and more as the series goes on, for that I'm sure of. It will be interesting to see what ups and downs these three will go through and how it might change their relationship with each other. Upon first impressions, I think I will enjoy what this series has to offer. J.C Staff did a solid job with the production values and the OP song (Used for the ED for this episode) was joyful in seeing Himari and Rin dancing along. The song itself is pretty good, too. |

| The way Himari moves her whole body to communicate is so full of character, this is so fun to watch. She and Yu also have a pretty great chemistry with each other, I was almost instantly hooked. I didn't expect this at all.   |
| Very decent start. The initial flashback of Himari encouraging and helping Yuu was nice. The chemistry between both of them is really good. But this friend friend, last option thing never works out. Just give up and accept it. Also she's blue and short hair + "childhood friend" ish.. all the red flags. Secure your man or Ennochi will steal him. Violent tsundere is winning formula generally. She is also probably the crush mc had. Let's see if the love triangle works or not. I hope it does cause it looks promising and not very obvious seeing both introduced very fast. Cover girl probably is favourite. Have to watch more to choose personally. Mc is ok so far his passion for his hobby is very respectable. Now don't be those dumb shallow mc. And why all of these people are connected to eachother. Very small world. This looks like far better version of that class hate marrige garbage. Another Himari with same Seiyuu. She will be far better than chetaing snake atleast. OP is a banger, very fun and energetic. |

| Great first episode. I really liked Natsume and Himari's relationship. Natsume is quiet while Himari is outgoing and in my opinion, it works. Adding Enocchi to the mix will make it quite interesting because I have a feeling she's a bit jealous of Himari, based on her facial expressions. So far, the OST is great. I really liked the song that played at the bus stop where Enocchi and Himari were at. Lastly, the opening was great and really fits the premise of the show. Can't wait for next week's episode. :) 4/5 |
| Whenever I first saw this, I thought it was gonna be the most generic thing ever and that I didn't wanna watch it. However, I decided to watch it basically on an impulse because I wanted to watch a cliche rom-com. Also, let me just say that the title is kinda stupid. Like, yes, it can. Himari even says the title in the episode and SAYS that it can. But I guess that just doesn't apply to these two. Our main dude, Yu Natsume (actually remembered the MC's name for once), likes making flowers. He also "doesn't like pretty girls but still feels attracted to them." His words, not mine. Not much else to comment on about him right now, but the flower stuff is kinda interesting. As for Himari, she's funny, but they make it painfully obvious that she likes him that it's kinda annoying how she denies it, but that's just your average rom-com for you, I guess. Oh yeah, and the other girl, too. Uh, I like how she beat Himari to a pulp. Yeah. The thing I was worried most about was the dynamic between our two leads, Natsume and Himari. I thought that, despite them being BFFS, they were gonna have zero chemistry, but I was thankfully wrong. They have great chemistry, which just makes the love triangle insanely one-sided in her favor. Anyways, the show seems alright right now, so I'll continue watching to see how it goes. So far, rooting for Himari. |
