I should’ve known the orcs weren’t gonna have shit constructive to say. My dumbass came into the ep thinking they were gonna talk about whatever impending calamity is coming, and the orc chief only knows one thing, killing humans. He did bring up an interesting point about how when he spawned that was the only thing “programmed” in him… but who made these dungeons and by extension the orcs/magic beasts.. they talk as if there’s a game maker of sorts out there and that would be in line with Jinwoo being called a “player”.

That was pretty much it for any semblance of story or worldbuilding this episode tho. The rest was clearly a reward for the slower last couple of episodes, pure Sakuga for fans to mouth water over. The staff LOVE Igris man his scenes are always insane. That decapitation animation with the continuous camera shot jeeeez. Chills.

Jinwoo vs the orc leader with shadowborn in the background.. *licks fingers* immaculate. This was perfect.

ANDDD we got Cha Hae-in crumbs. Still not enough but it’s a start lol. Still waiting on seeing Jinwoo pops again.. great episode tho

@GUTSISHIM He said "Kiba", and in Japanese means both fang and tusk. In the anime it's written "Tusk" too.

I'd say it was properly corrected to be appropriate for such a situation. They should feel grateful after being saved from certain death. The manhwa may have conveyed absolute fear, but it's misplaced that it didn't fit the narrative that Jinwoo is supposed to be a good guy. The anime did a great job correcting that unnecessary characterization just to make Jinwoo "look cooler."

So how do I express what I just saw? I am gonna have the biggest hot take right now…

This actually not only did the manhwa justice but the fight actually was better in the anime. The animation was better than episode 2, with a lot of sakuga thrown in between. Nice first episode reference they threw in there. Also they technically gave more hints about what controls the system lol, won’t spoil it but nice touch.

Now my biggest gripe, yeah a bit of a party ruiner here, but can they not cut out from the fight scenes as much? They added technically a og scene (the hunter guild gathering to go to the A rank gate) that meant nothing. They needed to pace it out better, but they didn’t cut in the middle of the actual fight between kargalgan and sung jin woo, which they did wonders here. Definitely the best fight of the season so far.

Weird that the next fight should have better animation and be better overall lol. The hype was delivered and I am happy. Next episode should be as the title showed “10th S-rank hunter”. I am looking forward to it and especially for the final 2 arcs of this season.

Also they really did 2 sketch animations, big props. 2x what we got in sung jinwoo vs igris. Now is this better than the igris fight? I really don’t know, very difficult to say right now due to recency bias and all lol. I wonder what they will do in the next fight though.

Oh come off it. How can people vote "hated this". I can understand not liking it, or just being okay if you are really not into fantasy or whatever, which begs the question why are you watching episode 6, but HATED IT? Just spoiled brats who have to be contrarian for the sake of it. There was not a single bad aspect in this episode. Nothing to requires hatred at least. What was the trigger? Be honest? Not enough harem oppai and main character is not screaming non-stop?

even though the content bores me and i don't find it interesting in any way, the animation is just solid and A-1 proving themselves as a top tier studio yet again.

People hate seeing wasted potential. And SL is one of the top 2025 candidates in this regard. When you see amazing art paired with amazingly bad plot, it makes people wanna stick a fork in their eyeball. So most of the time those who "hate it" are actually just fans who expect more!

And this episode was so full of "bad" things, its actually tragic.
