Hate for this show is so unjustified, all the complaints are literally about something the show is doing on purpose.
If it's not your style of humor, fine then don't watch it. But stop trying to take it seriously when it's literally a joke.
This is a more recent show I watched so my more in-depth reviews will be added way later as I still have a lot of comments to transfer, but this show is hilarious man. So over-hated mostly by people who simply "don't get it."
This last episode was great implying that the teachers have been looking for him that whole time is just another layer of humor, this whole series is "a joke" and you need to see it that way it's the constant switch between worldview/perception of Noor vs everyone else. The inner dialogue of other characters and Noor and the contrast between them but also how neither actually match the reality is part of the joke.
Their world view doesn't match reality because of Noor and their expectations of how the world is supposed to work keeps getting undermined because of Noor simply existing.
Meanwhile Noor's world view doesn't match reality either, but it matches reality from his point of view and for the most part it doesn't get undermined because he can simply make it true. If he actually "understood his power" this show would be so lame.
It's funny because he doesn't and he's just a good guy trying his best to help people despite being "too weak" to be a proper adventurer.
Also I'd like to say the music slaps and the soundtrack is immaculate.
He's just like a Max Lvl hardworking peasant. He's a Protagonist in everyone else's story, but he's a side character in his own story. And his motivations of "I'll make do with what I got" is just very wholesome. And if you think that the fact that he's actually strong ruins that, you are missing the point. It doesn't ruin that because it doesn't matter if his perception doesn't match reality. "It's real to him" meaning the motivation is genuine. If you're frustrated by this show you're watching it wrong, if you get it, you'll have a smile or grin on your face the whole way through. (Apart from like the 1 or 2 actually sad or serious parts, but it's mostly just a mix of funny and wholesome.)

This Anime was freaken hilarious from the protag grunting out "parry" every time he "parries" (when technically what he does most of the time isn't even really actually parrying lol), to just the sheer "ludicrousy" of how inept the protag comes off.

If Users are complaining about the fact that this Anime can't be taken seriously they are likely missing the point because this was never meant to be some serious Anime to begin with. Watching this Anime made me laugh more than I have in quite a while when it comes to some male power fantasy in a long time in a generic fantasy themed world. Honestly this Anime was put together and directed in a way that put a majority of other modern season Anime to shame that try to come off too pseudo serious.

For a seasonal throw-away this Anime ranks top-tier in my book. I will likely even buy this Anime on Blu-ray some time down the line to add to my collection once it's Officially physically released where I live.

12 episodes and still no one has a freaking clue. Just over flowing with stupidity. At least in Mashle his friends had a clue which balanced the show. Another example is in original Dragon Ball, Goku would be clueless but Bulma and eventually the others will start to understand. This series is just lacking balance.

From what I could gather from the episode, there won’t be a Season 2, but I could be wrong…

So we got to see all the training that Noor went through 15 years ago in more detail. He obviously wasn’t fit to use a bow because he broke ALL OF THEM, EVEN THE TEACHER’S STRONGER BOW! As far as the other skills, we learn that Noor actually has a lot of talent in all the general skills, just that he can’t go beyond the basics in some regards. Double casting, hunting Thunderflash birds with rocks. Speaking of, Noor is so accurate that he created a PERMANENT HOLE IN THE SHIELD. He’s precise and accurate (there’s a difference). Noor was able to perform healing with a blessing, keep up with Sig’s swift foot technique, go through the Stealth teacher’s course (albeit he completely failed in the stealth and just brute forced his way through). Noor has latent potential that the teachers didn’t realize until it was too late.

I’m assuming the magic barrier around Noor’s home is part of the reason that no one was able to find him.

Maybe it’s for the best that Noor is where he is now, because if he were a regular adventurer then Noor wouldn’t have been able to save that day from the falling building with his parry. Given that you have to be at minimum 15 years old to get a permit to train at the schools, that means Noor is at minimum 30 years old.

I hope I’m wrong and we’ll get to see more of I Parry Everything, but this conclusion was so heartwarming and made me feel so tingly inside.

God this series was so enjoyable. It was simple fun and Noir was a really likeable MC. I had this series sat for a long while and finally decided to go back to it, re-watching it from the beginning and it was great. Particularly those last 3 episodes which were new to me were really funny. Had me grinning the entire time.

I really hope this gets a season 2.

Maybe this anime just resonates extremely well with me, but it's just mind boggling how under-rated this anime seems to be.

My guess for the low ratings is three things that must be given a pass on for suspension of disbelief is: misunderstands, MC's OP parrying, and MC's obliviousness in order for the premise to work.

This anime does some unique things well, first episode provides a good encapsulated story arc, lots of dry humor throughout the season, and last episode after the season's climax dedicated to brining things full circle and resolution.

10/10.

I feel this would be better if Noor wasn't so dense and could acknowledged how strong he actually is. It was alright but irritating at times

I enjoyed this series, but the fact that Noor is clearly mentally challenged based on how oblivious he is to EVERYTHING, really brings my enjoyment down.
In fact every damn character in this show is fucking stupid, and because of that Noor has no idea how strong he really is (since Noor is clearly retarded).

His stupidity brings the show down from something I would have REALLY enjoyed, to something that was just "okay."

Maybe enjoyed this final episode most of all because of the childhood training flashbacks (which is maybe a shame to not share until the final episode).

It was pretty "funny" though how it was just a continuous chain of chilhood-Noor being failed by those in positions of power. Like he showed amazing and inhumane strength and abilities, yet was cast aside six times which was kind of silly.
Felt most shortsighted for the swordsman and tank(?) trainers when Noor can seemingly deflect any attacks indefinitely even when they're absolutely absurd.

Noor was also still kind of dense and oblivious about how over-powered he is, and also weird that he "wished to go on adventures" or something at the end, when he literally just defeated and then flew a dragon. Guess that's part of the unique character charm though.

Fun show though, and would enjoy if it gets a second season (although that's maybe unlikely).

The title should've been "Jack Of All Trades, Master Of None" or "The Lumbering Retard".

The flashback was a good way to wrap up the series, they never showed his results in each of the 6 schools until now, and what a surprise that he had affinity for all 6 skills just not mastering any of them. Decent series overall

What a delightful series

What if we made a lighthearted comedy about Berserk
or What if Guts fused with Goku

Absolutely delight, several subversion of tropes, plenty of comedy, an actually enjoyable (albeit stupid) MC, solid plot lines, respectable political intrigue...

Just delightful

Man, how long as it been since I gave an anime a positive rating?

I was going to give this a 5 or a 6 honestly but the last ep tying up the biggest issue which is how the instructors kept remembering and uttering a student who flopped all courses. But they somehow managed to have a nice melancholic story to it, which was really nice!

And the previous made me laugh way too hard, especially with Noor’s treatment of the king. Didn’t expect the dark fantasy twist with the brutal and harsh stance of the prince along with the deadly threats from the side. When you’ve got a resurrect-or like that, that can be scary as heck.

Going to settle with a generous 6.5/10 for this.

I liked it overall despite being bothered by him being clueless, but you can't blame him, it's not his fault he grew up by himself mostly. Though him being clueless really bothered me not too much, but it was annoying, but I liked this either way, something interesting where he is supposedly weak, but he's not.

So he was very talented but didn't learn any of the "skills"? Couldn't really grasp what those are seeing as he could do many things such as move very quickly. Anyway it was a fun watch overall.

I almost died by the amount of density this series gave me.

Oh well, at least, his heart is in the right place.
And thus, they lived happily ever after... .

Man, this was such a weird show. The story was pretty mid, and Noor could be painfully oblivious at times — honestly had me yelling at the screen more than once. But despite all that... I still kinda liked it. 😂

It’s definitely not groundbreaking, but there were some genuinely fun moments. (Shoutout to Lynne!)

We already knew Noor was “too good” for the teachers, but getting a peek into their internal monologues and watching their reactions to his prodigy status was a nice touch. The Thunderhawk scene and the old mage freaking out over Noor double-casting? Hilarious. Dude was out here speedrunning his way to the top of the magic world.

And man — “This is a really good sword.” Took you the entire show to figure that out, but yes, yes it is. 😅
That final scene with the ED theme swelling, the “I parry” title card dropping — legit gave me chills. I’m a sucker for a good name-drop in the finale.

Noor might be a lovable dumbass, but with the support he has, he just might make it as an adventurer after all.

Final thoughts:
Really enjoyed the ride.
Score: 7/10 on MAL
Finished: 1st September 2025, 23:31 Hrs IST.
