Aww, Hina getting all happy when Taiki called her cute was such an adorable moment. Seriously, that scene was pure fluff. But man, I can't tell if Taiki's just clueless or straight-up dense about Hina’s reaction, especially with that "Girls..." comment after the fireworks scene. Like, bro, READ THE FUCKING ROOM LOL. Also, I had a feeling he and Chii would cross paths eventually, but right after Hina gets her little moment? Oof, that timing hurts.

That said, I’m really vibing with Haryuu and his girlfriend’s dynamic. Hot take, but I already like them more than the main couple. Just saying. And Taiki, my dude, you really left Hina hanging like that? But okay, whatever, 'cause Chii is out here suppressing her feelings while Hina’s fully embracing hers. Not that it actually evens things out, but hey, points for effort. At least Taiki realized he left Hina alone for way too long xD

Anyway, everything got resolved without any big drama, so I guess they're playing it safe for now. Wonder if we get a new OP and ED next week though.

Seems like Netflix saw the light of the day eh, ...

Anyway, as one might expect already from the last weeks episode ... as our Taiki is attending the summer festival with Hina, they get spotted by Chinatsu and her group, surprisingly no drama ensured afterwards ... but you can not tell me that Chinatsu didn't have a heart attack when she saw the two of them.

Now, i know Taiki does not really have any romantic feelings for Hina but damn, that was cruel dude, leaving her like that, tho they have met an incredibly adorable little girl in the meantime.

We also need a spin off about Haryuus girlfriend, like now.

The kid casually climbing Chinatsu to reward her was too funny, not to mention her reaction to Taiki acknowledging her "stylish transformation" lmao

Hope the misunderstanding over Taiki's plan for the fireworks gets nipped in the bud.

Ngl Taiki splitting up with Hina at the festival to hang with Chinatsu was kinda craaazy lol. Cmon my boy, it’s one or the other. Either you’re spending the festival with Hina or Chinatsu, can’t have your cake and eat it too!

Hina looked absolutely gorgeous and it’s so cute seeing her be all flustered and kinda just acting like a normal girl. They usually have that best friend dynamic going on and just act like good friends, but we’ve really seen Hina the normal first year high school student in these last two eps. Underneath all that talent and popularity is just a teenage girl.

No one knows how the future will play out and how this pivotal year will go, but one things for certain, things will be a lot different this time next year for everyone in this story. Academically, athletically and romantically a lot is about to change in their lives. God I love both girls and I don’t wanna see either of them hurting.

“You didn’t need to lie” 😩 Chinatsu jealousy arc.. finally understands how she feels about Taiki. Oh man this was a fun way to end the cour. Things are really gonna start heating up now.

Chinatsu saw Taiki with Hina because of course she did. And she took it the wrong way too. There's also a non-zero chance that when Hina went out to get food she probably also saw Taiki hanging out with Chinatsu without all the context. The fact that the anime didn't reveal it is just anxiety-inducing. I also wonder what Hina said to those boys. Did she turn them down? It's funny how an episode about Taiki hanging out with Hina had more screentime of Taiki with Chinatsu. Funny how that turned out. The twist was good.

Haryu's gf is a bombshell ngl. And with her past conversation with Chinatsu, she finally revealed she does see Taiki as a man. That's good to hear. But the scenario she cooked up in her head means Taiki will have to realize the thing that's going on with Hina soon if he wants Chinatsu to actually pursue him. It's kinda respectable that she's willing to back off if Taiki is actually interested in Hina.

I hate it so much when a story is fueled by (or more like time's being wasted on) the MC's obliviousness. Even before it should've been obvious to him that Hina likes him, but this episode is just a slap in the face, after all those interactions he thinks to himself "damn I don't understand girls"... is this the so called peak? So much screentime is getting wasted on these interactions that lead nowhere, just baiting the viewer, robbing us from actual development. At first I was happy that it's gonna be 25 episodes, but at this rate it has the content of a regular 13 ep romance anime

Also, WHY is it so hard to properly animate basketball movements? What is this shot? Anyone slightly familiar with basketball knows how bad this is. This movement resembles a pass. For comparison Lovely Complex, that had way less focus on basketball and was made in 2007 could animate a jumper very well, but this? What the fuck is this? Maybe the focus is on badminton, but this is just embarassing lack of detail

I won't deny that I laughed and enjoyed watching Chinatsu get jealous when she saw Taiki and Hina together at the festival. I was looking forward to seeing her jealous, and it finally happened.

On one hand, Hina was very sweet, but I felt a little sad when Taiki left her alone for a moment and ran into Chinatsu. For a moment I thought Hina would find them together. I'll say it: even though my favorite is Chinatsu, Taiki doesn't deserve Hina. Despite all the obvious signs, it never crosses his mind that she might be in love with him, and he only sees her as his best friend. Even Hina supports him with Chinatsu despite her feelings for him.

On the other hand, the jealousy was necessary and deserved for Chinatsu for setting boundaries with Taiki despite their time together. This could a little push Chinatsu to know how to see and treat Taiki.

I said it last week, but I'll say it again. Hina looks absolutely stunning while wearing a yukata. ^_^

Her time alone with Taiki was really sweet, but circumstances also had Taiki helping out Chinatsu when she found a kid who was lost. Their time together while finding the child's mother was very enjoyable and Chinatsu got a Pretty Cure-style hairclip as a reward for reuniting the kid with her mother. Wholesome stuff, I must say!

Having said that, it does look like Chinatsu setting boundaries between her and Taiki is starting to backfire a little bit now after seeing him with Hina at the festival. Her question towards him while he wad asleep felt pretty important as to how she'll interact with him in the future. I can only see this being a bit of a rollercoaster, but one that should be enjoyable as a whole.

On another note, Haryu's girlfriend, Karen, looked beautiful in her yukata and her personality seems to be fun and caring as well. I do hope she gets more screentime in the future.

Ngl Haryu and Karen 100% have got their life together the best, They're both managing to balance they're relationship with work/Badminton they basically have the ideal relationship that Chinatsu and Taiki should have. I really like Karen a lot she's a perfect match for Haryu she has a very chill vibe.

Honestly I still like Taiki but I lost a lot of respect for him for holding up Hina that long. Like Chinatsu could have handled that situation alone just fine and there's no way that situation blew over in a few minutes so she was probably waiting ages for Taiki to return.

Hina's friend is literally just a female Kyo, the perfect wingman both of them not going to get Taiki and Hina alone

I initially felt as though Taiki took his sweet time retuning to Hina, as in he got caught in the moment coupled with his infatuation of Chinatsu he momentarily forgot about the poor Hina, ofc could be argued that the little expedition to find the kid's mom is a significant chunk of the time spent away from her, however without the lost kid its easy see how Taiki's movements could've been interpreted as scummy, imo I think he just got caught in the moment XD.

I bit the bullet and decided to go ahead and hit the early release episode since it just so happened to drop on the right day this time, I just hope I don’t regret it next week if the same thing doesn’t happen again.

But man am I glad I went ahead and hit it right now because it felt really good seeing this one right after the buildup to the summer festival in the previous one, and there was lots of goodness to be had as there usually is with summer festivals. First off, didn’t know Taiki was a Mountain fan with that shirt lol, bro has himself two Mississippi Queens at this festival with Hina and Chinatsu, but I’m ngl he kinda made me mad when he left Hina alone for so long, they were having such a nice time but the moment Taiki found Chinatsu he basically completely forgot about Hina, there’s no way that helping that kid didn’t take at least 30 minutes or something lol, yeah the Chinatsu stuff was fantastic but Hina was in the back of my mind the whole time.

But thankfully Hina apparently turned those dudes down and didn’t seem that bothered with Taiki’s long absence, so much for Hina getting focus on her own date episode tho lol, definitely made me a bit sad, I know Taiki has a bad case of oblivious MC but I hope Hina gets a backup boyfriend at some point because it’s not looking great for her atm. I can say Chinatsu has had some great progression at least, the summer festival got her feeling a certain type of way after seeing Hina and Taiki together, and thanks to the new babe Karen (who is also very pretty) we got some insight on how Chinatsu has seen Taiki at home too, and then there was also that last moment of the episode when Chinatsu loomed over a sleeping Taiki, Chinatsu stocks are going back up with this one lol, it’s got me excited for what’s to come even with Team Hina not looking as good as it did at the start of this episode.

Now I’m just wondering if/when they’re gonna snip us off until Winter 2025, and if we’ll get a new OP and ED, not sure if it’ll be episode 13 or 14 with this being 25 episodes, guess we’ll find out soon.

i really hate the lack of communication in anime.

Now, in the end scene, the male MC is being accused of lying by the basketball girl, without him a chance answer and talk to her about it.

How can I not feel bad for him and his bad luck with these girls?
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

So Chinatsu was the one trying to keep distance in the first place, but now, thinking Taiki was dating Hina, she also realizes she's got some feelings for him. My best girl is Hina, and I don't think she'll win, but she was adorable during this episode. I thought for a moment that Taiki would leave her alone at the fireworks, fortunately, he didn't.

Good episode. However, progress in a future romance with Taiki seems to take a long time, simply put, there is a lot of unnecessary procrastination...

The episode started at the festivals. Was Kyo really sick? Man, Kyo is a friend everyone should have. Kyo left the way open for Hina.

We had that cute moment between Hina and Taiki at the festival, Taiki was praising Hina and she was delighted. Hina is so sweet and adorable, she has her own unique way, you know? that expression of hers was so cute damn

We also had some cute moments between Taiki and Chinatsu. And that made me angry, the scene was beautiful, but I'm mad at Chinatsu. I really can't understand what Chinatsu wants. So does Chinatsu love taiki? Sometimes it seems like she does, and other times it seems like she just doesn't want to get in Taiki's way. This kind of dilemma is horrible for the progression of the story. I hope Chinatsu comes to terms with it and understands what she really wants.

This episode made me feel sorry for Hina<3 Hina will suffer from a possible rejection in the future, it is quite obvious that Taiki does not see Hina as a woman for a relationship.

It was a good episode, but the progression and this "love triangle" is pretty boring, you know... I like all the characters, but Chinatsu and Taiki especially hide what they really feel and I hate that. Just tell each other how you feel!

Such an emotional episode! Chinatsu must interpreted it all wrong. Taiki and Hina are not dating each other, but strangely enough, Hina started to develop feelings for Taiki too.

I think Taiki should confess his feelings towards Chii before it’s too late. They love each other, but they do not have the courage to make the first step.

This anime should be called "blue balls" from the amount of moments of tension (between Taiki and both Hina and Chinatsu) that doesn't resolve to anything 😅

I was so far behind with this series until today and the contrast in the romantic developments between this and something like Dandadan is really something. Taiki while thinking a lot about Chinatsu doesn't wanna push her into a romantic relationship due to her setting her limits. She on the other hand is interested but focused on the finals. And finally Hina hasn't professed her feelings for him but slowly approaches through different methods. The interactions are sweet, gentle and though there are some misunderstandings they talk about it like actual people. I hope they still do about what Chinatsu misinterpreted about the date.

Side note, the opening has really grown on me after listening to it for the 5th time.

@ricardopetrere, calling it like it is.

I liked this series at first, but now it's just drama upon drama caused by people simply not talking to each other. Or at least not talking to them when they're awake. But it's mostly Chinatsu's fault, tells the guy to back off and then gets jealous when she sees him with someone else. Geez, make up your frickin' mind, girl.
