| At first, I thought Jiji was a more serious type of person, or a character with the boring good-looking guy trope. I really wasn't expecting him to be an utter goofball. lmao |
| So they found another Okarun ball on creature that I can't explain what it is, whatever it is Momo and Okarun are now trying to get it back. It was nice to see more of Jiji in this episode and he's a funny guy and a laugher, a really nice addition to his character. I feel sorry for Okarun who's been feels unmotivated lately since Jiji's arrival, I understand he's jealous but maybe he's had an epiphany now. |

About calling people who called out a hypocrite for being racist, racist themselves. Not everyone who disagrees with people who fancy themselves arbiters of blackness, incapable of racism, perpetual victims and purveyors of truth are klansmen, you know? For my part, I already knew that the dub industry was a void full of mentally infirm people that I never would have gone close to, but seeing a dude claim that white people can't voice black roles, that japanese artists are racists for "whitewashing" characters, trying to put a fence around what he thinks is the black experience and implying that whoever doesn't know this lifestyle isn't actually black, and then absolutely contradicting himself by playing characters who aren't black, and whose experiences he couldn't possibly understand (going by his own logic), to then flee twitter and cry racism because he got called out on his shit, it all just serves to confirm it. This story made me happy. It made me like this show more, and I wish it happened more often, so that, like so many things lately, normal people realize how sick some people and their ideologies are and reject them full stop. fafo, as some might put it. |

| At first I felt like Okarun was being stupid (his turn after Momo was being a little dumb), but this stuff at the end made it funny. It's so obvious to my eyes she has no interest in him, but he does have a personality that goes along with Momo's friendliness. I wonder if he will also end up with spirit powers at the cursed home, or if Miss Christian to Norse is will join them. This episode made me ship Ken x Momo so hard, she is such a boss, like, she is literally the boss of the show. |

Lightening the skin of black characters has always been done and is always done out of hate/spite. There’s historical context for why that’s hateful, doing a harmless black edit is not the same. Social and historical precedent is important. |
