| Damn, this battle quickly went South for the hunters. One thing to also note is never to underestimate the power of magic in this show. Krai had a key role here too as he began making his moves. Sitri's intelligence should also be noticed this episode. Feels like this anime is giving the main cast different ways to shine. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| Tino Q_Q So Red haired girl is in fact Sophia Black, or rather multi-personality disorder hence why herself and Sitri don't appear to know. Sophia Black is a force to be reckoned with, but luckily for everyone, the disciples are self-destructive. Yeah... Lvl 2 Hunter my ass. Also faith that our Lvl 8 God will be Lvl 10 soon enough... I'm actually shocked, I think Krai is carrying a lot of the show for me because I didn't really like this episode even though was fine, even though find the Krai thing SUPER annoying. |

It takes me a while to say this with confidence but I think this anime has the best OP and ED of this season. Obviously they're not the best song, they might be even below average, but just like the protagonist of this anime, it comes with many tricks, it's not just the uninterrupted 1:30 minutes sequence like other anime.
| @phantomfandom Yeah, I think they did good job with opening/ending too. As someone who rushed to 100 and retired IRL the ending's lyrics fit for me [Krai's peers and maybe Krai]. The opening lyrics more so fit the show (Krai). The way it transitions: before, after, middle of; opening is nicely done. |

I think Sitri infiltrated the Akashic tower for investigation purposes and is manipulating them both for tactical purposes and as part of some sort of plan to influence the The Hunters Guild and Krai. | Yeah I'm not sure who Sophia really is but she is definitely within the group that Sven and the other hunters are in so she can easily get updates as to what the group is doing. On that note I wouldn't be surprised if Krai somehow stumbles onto that mystery and inadvertently figures it out and is then deemed even more amazing and wise beyond his years haha. |
| Lmao Sitri makes war crimes look so kawaii. You can’t just test your experiments on prisoners 😂. I’m thinking that she’s actually Sophia black and that would explain them having similar personality traits and using the same imagination line. I don’t think the red haired girl is her. She could have multi personality disorder, but it feels like a literal red herring. Sitri is pretty cold and calculating so I can def see her infiltrating the Akashic tower and sowing discord I’m again asking for no Liz in this show lol she’s so annoying and cruel to Tino and it ruins every scene. |

| The Akashic Tower grunts are their own worst enemies, everything they did backfired big time. Talia does look a lot like Sophia, could be alchemy, could be a family member, or could be just someone who looks like her without being related. Sitri is quite a badass on the battlefield. |

| Here I thought Talia is Sophia Black but it seems that she is not and Sophia Black is someone else. And from the looks from it, Sophia is just Sitri in dishuised. That line when she said that Flick lacks imagination was somehow a giveaway. Maybe that explains why the two captured prisoners keeps on staring on to Talia and she have no idea why. But I don't read the LN so I don't lnow. Are we going to see the rest of the Grievers on this season and join the fight or it's just Krai, Sitri and Liz plus Tino? |

I'm pretty sure Sophia and Talia are the same person. If you look at the character list they look basically the same.

Specially after this episode which hints that Sitri's the one who is actually Sophia. She literally repeated the same line as Sophia to that exact same guy. "You lack imagination". Also the part with her not being able find Sophia even though she's always chasing her and doesn't know a thing about her and such doesn't make sense given how big and influencial her clan is she should have been able to dig some info about Sophia. | the pacing just feels to slow for what we're getting, I'm usually one who likes when anime take their time but we didn't really learn anything new or see anything that great, wish they would have condensed this episode and given us a bit more. |
| Episodes in and still confused as to what is going on. Sitri's slime is still on the loose. No one knows why the dudgeon changed. There is a secret enemy group that never established why they exist, why they are fighting, what their goals are. Are Sophia Black & Talia Wydman the same person or related? And where are the other party members, we have only seen two. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |
| That's a drop from me. I was interested in the protagonist and the wholesome vibe of his party; but the anime would rather focus on the most boring plots and characters. I'll probably have forgotten it all in a week anyway, but I'll miss the OP. |

Also Stri saying the same line as her makes sense if Sophia/Talia was Stri's apprentice, as well as a reason why it would've been hard for her to catch her. That's my logic, anyway. One of the things that makes fantasy so compelling is the ability to draw parallels between it and real life. Worldbuilding matters. Granted, I did think the way those guys randomly started talking about the potion being illegal was a bit random lol It would've been pretty funny to see Stri go yandere on them though, we can tell she's got a couple screws loose just like the rest of the party |

| It's scary knowing Sitri's history with Noctus Cochlear post-credits last episode, but within the Akashic Tower, they have no choice but to go all-out, just as Sitri interrogates the captured disciples for information. With the motive to eradicate Akashic Tower, the transmogrified phantoms being enemies of themselves to steal each other's mana, it's quite the asinine irony that Flick tried to undermine Sophia's intelligence but failed. And to make matters worse, the true heroes have appeared, making their fight even more difficult, and their backup plan of using the partially-refined Malice Eaters is their only option before Sitri infiltrates Akashic Tower. Talia's backstory with Sitri being fellow alchemists, the latter is quite the brain-filled smarts to do things hear way, and knowing that her nemesis of Sophia is also with Akashic Tower, there is no way that she will back down from this. It's too bad that Krai has to be dragged by both Liz and Tino, as much as he just wants to show up at the end and claim the credit for himself. And against the likes of Malice Eaters with their Calamity Thunder, nothing fazes Sitri, not even Krai who can see the future before anyone else. Everyone is slowly converging together...still with trump cards left to reveal. |

| Oh, I see what Sven meant in regards to Sitri.. I wonder if everyone in their party is as crazy? I guess their dont party up because they can all solo the dungeons anyaway. This is legitely getting interesting, I mean is Sophia that other red haired girl and she just has a split personality?! What else is their relationship and where is the real Sophia? I just love how cross Liz is, saying she has an attitude would undersell it. And well she can back it up so.. |
