Overall, I like this episode. Especially with how involved the shinigamis are as a whole instead of just purely focussing on fan favorites. I kinda wish we saw this more often. They are at the end of the day fodder, but even fodders can be useful. Whatever that thing Mayuri summoned looked awesome af. The comedy while short was funny too.

They however did Soi Fon so dirty tho at the start hahaha. Using bankai just to disappear like that as if she got consumed by those creatures unlike the manga version where she atleast resisted it and Omaeda aiding her.

Another nitpick is the way the remnants interacted with Aizen. How they got crushed and interacted with Aizen's reiatsu were done better in the manga compared to the anime for me. Aizen's confidence at shooting down the palace and claiming he's capable of overpowering Mayuri's device is still as cold as I remember the first time reading those lines. Pretty sure Aizen was right and why Kubo had the Sternritters stop him from doing it.

The pros far outweight these small nitpicks of mine. Great episode.

Wow, I'm getting excited how Kubo can extend this series into a more phenomenal series than it ever could!

P.S. Glad to see Rukia, Hiyori, and the rest of them.
Old supporting characters finally having their own place again as a member of SS.

Ishida, sweating?
He is definitely up to something.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Aizen just crushing everything else with his spirit pressure alone all while being bound to a chair.

Even restrained as much as he is Aizen still has that boss aura.

Gee, I was concerned if Capt. Shinji was taken out from Part 1 (I think it was) but glad he wasn't. I remember they didn't finish him off, so I was hoping he wasn't taken out. But then again, it doesn't feel like anything unless he does something decisive in the upcoming battles. I wish they played his theme though or at least the ost when he revealed his bankai earlier this arc, that's going to remain one of my fav scenes of the series no matter what. Retcon but please do it for good reason, that'll really affect my impression of this final arc.

Good ol' Kon comedy, lmao. I missed him, and that's some way to return!

Aizen and Grimmjow join the ranks along with the lower echelon of Quinces, this is really giving round 3 vibes now. Can't wait!

Aizen and Grimmjow being back brings immense joy to my heart! I screamed out of excitement when Aizen casually said that he will drop down Royal Palace, and also when Grimmjow appeared at the very end. We are so fucking back Bleach bros!

5/5 episode. Bleach continues delivering peak 🔥🔥🔥

Kubo just loves glazing Mayuri. Also, the Sternritter are such hypocrites. They're mad at Yhwach abandoning them but they just backstabbed Nanana without a word. I don't know if we're supposed to think this but it's definitely the case that they have no morals no matter how hard the series tries to show them care for some of their comrades

This was very good in-between episode from my mind. Nothing that major happened, yet at the same time...small things happened that are important.

However, two major things happened (at least in my mind) Aizen flexing (while still moping a bit) and Grimmjow finally showing up! Those two really did steal this week's episode. The fact Grimmjow was teased at the middle of the episode, just to fully appear at the end of it? Brilliant. Not to mention Ichigo's look of 'Grimmjow?' It was amusing. Also, this episode did indeed explain where Ichigo and Yoruichi fell down which is a good thing. Though, a cat always falls on their feet, so they won't need Kon plush to lessen the impact of falling...

It was kind of amusing and a bit 'oh boy, here we go again' when Aizen showed up and everybody was so against him. Like, they were still in the middle of the war, and just moments ago those remnants of Soul King were falling from the sky...which honestly made me wonder why most kami-related things are black eyeball things with sharp teeth? Like, did anyone get the Fullmetal Alchemist vibe from that? Anyone? Okay, moving on.

The fact Aizen came and was all badass was awesome. Though, there was this undertone of him having lost his mojo. Or maybe it was just me, but it felt like he wasn't really giving his all. Sure, he was restrained and he was (probably) forced against his will to help, but even so...considering the fact how crafty he has been portrayed and smug... Prison really changed a person, eh? He felt a bit less smug and dejected. Even his bickering with Urahara and Mayuri (not talking about the rest of the people) didn't have his usual sass. Then again, Urahara has also felt very...I don't know how to put it. We mostly see shots of him gawking things and looking like he truly doesn't know what he is doing. It has made me feel like his secretive attitude and atmosphere have indeed just been a bluff this whole time, because before he truly did not know what was going on or could make an elaborate guess of what was going to happen. Or, both Aizen and Urahara belong to that type of people when a crisis is going on, they freeze. But still manage to function somewhat, but their peak performance is all but lost. Which shifted my attention to Mayuri. He was sassy and showed he was truly the one on the game and the smartest cookie among the so-called genius people. Then again, Urahara and Azen were on Mayuri's turf, so...

Even so, it was a bit disheartening to see Aizen egging Kyoraku to try and kill him when NaNaNa Najahkoop had made him faint for those five minutes. Because it didn't feel like it was his mere plot to try and get Kyoraku enough close to him just so he could free himself. Not to mention his words about the fact that the one who defeated him (Ichigo) got to go first to Soul King's palace... which made me think: if Aizen had managed to make his way in there, what would he have done there? Kill Soul King? But the fact Kyoraku (and everybody else) was making so big a deal about the world(s) ending, because of Soul King's death made me wonder when Aizen was still his chirpy self, I doubt he would have wanted to make the world's end. Right? Then again, just like we've seen, the world(s) haven't just yet ended, so maybe Aizen knew that? But even so...it was obvious his original goal was to change things, but how? And how going to Soul King's palace would have changed anything since at least to me Soul King seemed like just observing kami who wouldn't intervene in anything. Maybe he would had the power to do so or not, but even so... this what-if scenario came to my mind when I saw that scene.

When all the shinigami were bickering, I just waited for someone to come and break it up. Which NaNaNa did. But surprise! He was betrayed by his fellow cannon fodder Sternritters. It's actually more surprising he was still loyal to Yhwach, after the stunt he pulled on them all in the last season. I think Bazz-B's, Liltotto's, and Giselle's reactions were more natural than NaNaNa's. After all, if someone stabbed you literally on your back, would you still be loyal to that person? I think not many would be, but then again...Yhwach has his 'charm'.

It was nice to see the three Quincies and Shinigami join together in a fragile ceasefire. Did anyone notice that little scene where Bazz-B and Renji are obviously talking about each other's hairstyles and tattoos? While Rukia was so done. It reminded me a bit of Ichigo's and Renji's shenanigans and when they share exactly that one brain cell. xD

Seeing Kenpachi come over and ask where Yachiru is broke a bit my heart. It break more when he was having that small showdown with Nanao, which he basically gave up. Like...it didn't matter and he was just so...tired. Hopefully when he and rest of the people who will go to face Yhwach and his merry bunch of Quincies will cheer him up a bit.

I also have to give it to Soi Fon. She was the first one to act when Soul King's remnants were falling from the sky, and her pointing out to Urahara that they aren't afraid to go up there and fight was awesome. It's nice to see her having these little moments. I also want to give credit to Byakuya for acting as coolly as ever when Aizen showed up. Talk about a cool guy.

I can't wait for the next episode because Yhwach is obviously ready for some resistance, and everybody else seems also ready to fight once again~.

I’m just happy Grimmjow is back, he’s my favorite Arrancar. I haven’t read the TYBW arc in the manga so idk what’s gonna happen next but I’m excited. Also HOW IS ICHIGO GONNA BEAT YHWACH IF HE ABSORBED THE SOUL KING, they really gonna have to use the power of friendship to win this one.

This is exactly how anime should do chill episodes. Very needed chill ep especially after so many fights in the previous episodes and in the cour 2. Even without any major fights, the episode flew by in an instant. It doesn’t feel like 25 minutes at all, 10/10. This is truly the best cour so far, and nitpicking over minor details like music choices or small issues with faces and etc. is pointless, especially since the BD may fix them anyway. It's a shame the score is dropping, but, oh well, shounen fandoms just can’t comprehend that their favs are below the greatest - Bleach

Insane episode despite not being as action packed as the previous one. Not only we had Aizen's hype and Grimmjow's return in the anime (feels so weird ngl), but also lots of old faces back such as Mashiro, Maki Maki, the afro Shinigami, Renji's fanboy... I love when such a large amount of characters gather together. Kyoraku's speech to rally his troops was pretty cool as well.

It's hilarious they left NaNaNa Najahcop's scene when he paralyzes Aizen. Honestly the poor guy couldn't catch a break, but at least he got his last scene before kicking the bucket.

Well now we're approaching the final stages of the war, and I'm really excited to see how the anime will handle them.

HOW GOOD AIZEN IS. This new color of his reiatsu is something. And his interaction with Kyoraku and others is so interesting. I`m so glad to see Grimmmmjow here. Also so excited about what will happen next. And about what`s Aizen gonna do next. Also I can`t help but say about Yhwach`s Soul King absorption. Interested in what`s his power is.

And still so like this op, especially chorus after drop. Defenitely one of my favorite openings.

Finally after a bunch episodes the good guys are on the up.... maybe????

There was some language that Kyoraku said to Azien " then do me a favor and stay put for a while.. until the gate is ready" ???? Will we be seeing Aizen moving in the next episode?!?!?!??!?!

It also was good to see Hachigen (a kido master) show up but you think since they're so desperate for help they would also have Tessai Tsukabishi at Soul Society helping them as he was the captain of the Kidō Corps. In my mind I think having both kido masters (Hachigen & Tessai) at Soul society would help a lot.

By far my favorite episode so far -- I haven't enjoyed much of TYBW, minus Yhwach and Yamamoto fight.

The Quincies were a dud, the Arrancars were far more compelling, Ishidia betrayal wasn't foreshadow and thus far hasn't been explained, multiple captains dead and I don't care, Aizen and Kempachi are the only interesting characters in SS and they've barely been in TYBW. The battles in comparisons to modern shounen, aren't very imaginative and lack proper buildup.

This episode of characters I know and understand, simply interacting with each other was far more compelling than 95% of TYBW, I'm kinda perplexed at the high rating.

with that said...

Aizen offering to shoot down the Royal Palace from his chair was pretty bad ass.

@Tuliharja Wonderful breakdown! You really understood what was being shown and articulated it well!

I would love to think that Urahara's not been putting up a front, but is rather just exhausted. He's been working nonstop for quite a while now, going from Hueco Mundo, back to the Sereitei and now to the Soul King's palace!

And I agree that current Aizen, despite all his pomp and implied threat, is probably just depressed. And I don't blame him, lol. All those years of planning only to end up in a prison.🪑

Why would I spend my time watching shows I don't like? 💢
