| Hidden gem: Kita e.: Diamond Dust Drops Because the atmosphere is nice and it gives off early 2000s vibes. Plus it's set in Hokkaido, and I like Hokkaido. But I would not say it's actually super amazing. A super amazing fantasy anime imo is: Mahou Senshi Louie Whenever the big D&D anime "Record of Lodoss War" is mentioned, this show is sometimes also mentioned. It's set in the same world but it's a lot more lighthearted and comedic. Hidden Trash: Platonic Chain An early 3d anime. It's not complete garbage, but in my opinion it's difficult to watch it as a person in 2024. Though I will say, there are nice 2000s futurism vibes in it. So, for a niche group of people, it's intriguing. But for most people, it'll be trash. |

| Hidden gems for me would be Video Girl Ai and Venus Wars. They're from decades ago and I rarely hear people talk about them, but I really enjoyed both. Hidden trash describes pretty much anything made before the 1950s-1960s. They're just too primitive for my taste. Same thing with fully 3D anime, especially from the 1990s-2000s when 3D animation was in its infancy. |

@AverageRiceFan I also like Chou Kuse ni narisou it reminds me of Goldfish Warning,maybe because of the comedy is not for everyone and the anime quality on low quality I wish someone enchance a little bit and complete sub that will be fine.
| @Kirika_Madeleine @AverageRiceFan Kinda odd for us to have differing opinions here, given our generally strong overlap everywhere else. I don't really remember much about my first watchthrough anymore, outside of the comedy not landing for me at all, the voice acting being grating, and the animation really not showing the best of what the '90s is known for. Though I'm dead serious with the torrent time, which I think was like a month and a half to three months to get anything out the borderline dead torrent on Nyaa, and a very unlucky laptop having to be sitting there patiently waiting the whole month plus, waiting for literally anybody to send even a few kilobytes of it. Potentially me dealing with the deadest torrent I've ever successfully torrented had an effect on my expectations. 🙄 |

| Gems: Selection Project has the fewest members of all my 10s. I've seen it called an Idoly Pride ripoff, and while it does reuse a few plot points and character archetypes, I think SelePro is just vastly better. Healer Girl and Scorching Ping Pong Girls are also rather overlooked - both solid 9s for me. Trash: Hate to mention a few earlier commenters' gems, but I couldn't stand Hanada Shounen-shi and Yuri Kuma Arashi. I've only ever dropped 3 shows, and those are 2 of them. |
