| What a letdown this season was. taking a page or two out of Overlords similar pointless side stories and nonsense sequences. Both had good first seasons, but not after that...wtf...this could have been so much more...and the mixed messages: Should women adventure? Can they? Yet theres a hero thats a girl with two other gals in her party, and they SLAY...this show just didnt know what it wanted to be - Except a bit of a waste of time. 5.5/10 |
| Sounds like Goblin Slayer won't be around for a third go of it? 🤔 Shame as even though it took me 6 months to remember I hadn't actually finished this season... I enjoyed the hell out of the ride. The only problem is the Sword Maiden killed too many goblins. So they set this up as the final epilogue. Hopefully we'll see more Goblin Slayer in our future. Also that OP was so satisfying to see again. After so many months. Such a quality to open on. I look forward to what they make for season three. |

| Of all the people who could've made that blunder, it was fucking goblin slayer. Ofc I don't expect him to be perfect but come on, killing goblins is his whole shtick, how come he bonked that goblin priest once and expected it to die just from that. You'd think he'd be more thorough cause that's a high rank goblin. Also, wtf did he mean he can't use fire because it's "too cold"? What? he used literal gasoline, if he could ignite it then he absolutely can fucking set it on fire wtf? Cold or not. But fuck all that cause he used the gasoline to make the giant hand slip and fall lol Anyway, at least goblin slayer acknowledged that nothing changed. And that nothing will ever change. So this show is self aware about how they use the same formula repeatedly. It's gotten boring now. So no need for season 3 then no? We'll all just assume that this whole thing ended with goblin slayer and his party killing goblins till they die. 6 |

| I could not remember the first season very well but this season feels really underwhelming to me, especially the finale. And it seems that I forgot to watch the movie first before this. Well, I do not think that watching order matters on this series. |

| Pretty weak and mostly boring season, it's just your basic adventure anime which forgot about its premise and its substance. By form it's almost the same by the tone shifted from dark one to lighthearted for no reason. From MC he focus shifted to girls which formed just another typical harem in disguise with oblivious dude in the center. Despite being lighter it's still can't suggest you a good humor or in-depth representation of characters from slice of life perspective, everything is superficial now even drama. Let's be honest here, story based on one simple premise doesn't worth more than one short season of anime. Because there is nothing to develop, author had nothing to tell right from the beginning. He just jumping from one potentially strong story point to another without expanding them. And then someone else read his manga and made more popular - Frieren (its factual quality irrelevant here) which is based on the same simple idea of elf adventurer which will outlive her friends, it was slightly rubbed here in the season 2 but became a whole point for Frieren and this is how it ended. |

| @Martin_Taylor not bad but not too good that first season.There was a lack of development of the MC and as he goes from one adventure to another, they just "jump" from one part to another without showing how they got there. And the monologue at the end seems to show that there won't be a third season =(. |

@Zaxphred im not good at explaining but you see, in that scene she want to grab his hand, thinks to give him a support, but in front of her, behind the countless Goblins, there's Sword Maiden, the figure that every priestess want to be, seeing one spell from her destroy the goblins, she just realize, or rather she thinks she is not strong enough to stand along with Goblin Slayer and support him, hence she let go his hand, she want to be stronger, to properly help and support GS, she also imply that in the ending scene with HEA and Receptionist Girl
