Four had good potential as a character, at least her appearance made Kamille more interesting, providing some motivation, even if the romance was hastily written (there's some realism in that, as wartime romances are said to be like that). Seeing on the monitor Four's birth year being 0071 made me realize she was only 15, since it was earlier mentioned that it's been 7 years since the events of 0079.

this episode made really no sense, i don't understand why four had to return without any sense to die one episode leter, again
kamille actions were way to stupid Once again sneaking in the enemy base without any resistance just to go around with four, at least i don't know plant a bomb to blow up everything.
i'm starting to really dislike the serie

Well, if Jerid had killed the MECA, Four body should have burn to pieces.
Since everybody knows Quatro is Char, i guess that change of name should have been erased some episodes ago.

Kamille telling Char that he had to own up to being Char seemed to come out of nowhere and make no sense to me. There were plenty of other times where it could have made more sense, but it just felt completely out of place in the final scene.

This moment may have been powerful if it didnt heavily rely on your investment in Kamille and Fours romance, which i dont buy into at all and feel nothing about. If Four died for any reason other than to protect Kamille this wouldve probably been one of the most emotionally resonant scenes in Gundam thus far. Alas, like always, Gundam romance is a cancer that actively sucks enjoyment out of any given scene focusing on it, instead of enhancing it as romance is supposed to do. Sucks, but what can you do.

I've been waiting for Four to return, she does... and she dies. Again. And we never learn about her lost memory. Damn, that saddened me.

By the way, I fucking loved Camille in this one. Love doesn't win wars, but his dedication to Four certainly won my admiration. What's the point of winning a war, if you're going to lose your heart in the process?

You bring back Four...just to kill her again? wtf man, the scene with her "first death" was better than this and just to tie the thing with Jerid the jerk x'DD, 36 chapters and they keep surprise me in the bad way

four's first death was well done and emotional, but this second time around feels almost nonsensical. it's like they brought her back just to have the obsessed jerid on walking crutches kill her to make it "even" between kamille and jerid. there's no saving jerid's character at this point. i realized that when he got flipped off the cliff and somehow still made his way to a cockpit

Didn't really enjoy the second Four arc, mostly because the last one ended a lot better. It's a major missed opportunity to not have Kamiyu kill Four, and it's a major missed opportunity to not have him do it in person when she turned on him. But I guess it's a kids show so they can't have him shoot her on screen or anything.

Kinda sucks that this was a replay of Lalah dying in the fight between Char and Amuro, but it did work.

@Lethal_Rabbit But how was she supposed to regain her lost memories if they completely removed it from her brain? They don't seem to store memories somewhere, so i don't see how we would have learned about her 'real' past even if she lived until the end of the series.

I think the idea is that Char is a lot more impulsive in the second half of the series, he's becoming more his 0079 self and less of this fabricated persona. So much so that he is called out to no longer pretend he want's to live differently now (regret etc). His actions in this episode especially show he has no qualms about killing lalah #2, shows to kamille he doesn't have those regrets anymore, hence why this is the last straw for him.

i loved the bit of writing where after four is embraced by kamille both amuro and char say that people repeat the same mistakes, an obvious parallel to Lalah Sune

Ugh Jerid keeps coming back, and now he killed Four. How will Kamille react to this? He seems to be quite open minded when his mother was killed by Jerid, but what about now?

So now Four really becomes Kamille's Lalah Sune. Lalah's death in 0079 became the turning point for Amuro, but there wasn't a similar impact when Four "died" in the earlier episode.

"Because now, I can truly live inside of you." This is the turning point for Kamille.
