68 years ain't a bad number of years. I began watching the anime a couple of weeks ago and I am honestly enjoying it more than I thought I would. Sad that he passed away before completing his current works, including DBS.

This still sucks balls though. Rest in Piece you legend.

Wow, what a loss… his new stuff may not be up to modern standards, but the original and Z still hold up incredibly in my opinion. This is a huge loss of a truly influential artist. Rest in Peace, may Toyotaro continue his legacy as best as he can 🙏

68 is a very young age to pass away. especially in Japan, where people typically live for 80+ years.

@Youssef1312 even in the US and Europe it would be considered too young a age to die. The average lifespan in America is 77.3 years. The average lifespan in Germany is 81 years. Most developed 1st world countries have a lifespan around that range. Japan's is 84.6.

truly a sad day. may he rest in peace.

I just noticed the news of his passing.
I am still stunned and don't feel that he is gone.

…I'm starting to chill out a bit.

And since the manga for this series is written by TOYOTARO and not Akira Toriyama, I'm starting to worry about what he's going to do with the future stories and final episodes and such...

It could be worse, yes, but it's too early for modern human standards. Acceptable death is around 80, everything less than that is considered prematurely.
