That's right, but it's a parody of the Manga adaption of "Kimitachi wa dou ikiru ka" (even down to the cover), which in turn has been translated into "The boy and the heron" in the west, hence the translation choice to make the parody more obvious.

| I really like Dayama's roundabout way of approach it's super cute and imo it's not a problem if she can't tell him in fact I prefer it this way since we all know how Ichikawa will take the initiative later. |

| This show just keeps getting better. They're making it too sweet for us! Yamada had to really work for it so he can put it together. I love Ichikawa taking more initiative as he slowly realizes his feelings. |

| The best episode so far of this season, it's probably my favorite "Valentine's Day episode" of any romantic comedy, even after having read this part of the manga about 3 or 4 times, the anime comes with beautiful direction, soundtrack and lighting that enhance the scene where Yamada gives the chocolate to Ichikawa in middle of the night, and make the experience much more immersive and exciting, as if it were the first time I saw. It is by far my favorite RomCom, it is incredibly expressive, I love how this show manage to convey Yamada's nervousness and anxiety with just small movements of his hands or swinging his legs when he talks to Ichikawa, his doubts about giving him the chocolate because she still remembers what told him says Ichikawa on the Christmas Date (that he didn't like sweet things). The way he handles the silences, the awkwardness, and the romantic tension between the two is sublime. |

Holup, the part with Adachi giving the obligatory chocolate to boys at the start and Ichikawa giving "Melty Kiss" chocolate to Yamada were bonus chapters. Was everything else anime original? Or maybe they combines bonus and main chapters in a smooth way? Either way, the studio is doing such a good job, this is amazing. ('m anime only, I just read the manga along with the anime, as in I watch the episode, then read the chapters adapted. So this whole season will still be new to me.) | A beautiful Valentine's Day episode. Despite Ichikawa's initial reservations, he gradually realizes his feelings for Anna, who even drops a couple of hints herself. The soundtrack in this episode was beautiful and perfectly complemented the romantic moments of the protagonists. I'm eagerly anticipating a confession. |
