| Decent anime. It intrigued me enough to want to pick up the manga which is probably going to be better. Although it sort of meandered a bit towards the end and that last battle was too overlong, it offered a solid experience with an interesting world that seemed different than your typical dark fantasy story. I was worried it would be all preachy about how 'revenge doesn't solve anything' but it seemed like even Doroka warmed up to the idea at the end, which was nice. |

| Well, this show had my favourite OP of the season, at least. I kind of enjoyed the last three episodes, tbh. The whole blinding, love spell power boost deal was interesting enough. It tied in with the Queen's power, etc. However, I really didn't like the first 9 episodes much at all. I was planning on giving this a 3, but maybe I will bump it up to a 4 for the OP and the last few episodes. |

| I quite like this show but it's use of chibi ditzy Doroka and the whole bit of Dorothea being like an idol just felt like it made the vibe the show started with go in another direction that was more silly which is kind of difficult to adjust between serious moments and abrupt seemingly out of place failed attempts at comedy. Why do so many manga authors try to cram everything into their work? Not everything has to be drama, gore, tits, cuteness and comedy rolled into one. It was not as jarring in manga form at least but it really shows when animated and voiced out. Id enjoy a second season if they made one. |

| truly wasted potential. Promised a revenge story where no sides are "good", not even the protag. Then we find out it was actually witches who were behind everything and it turns into your standard fare shounen. Add in the most basic heroine you can find, really terrible writing/direction...and you end up here. I haven't read the source but I wouldn't be surprised if he just gives up his revenge by the end because he is so occupied with the pink witch. It's funny because in my eyes, both sides are just playing fiddle to their respective "love" witch. In the end, humanity is no different than the puppets. |

| The first like seven episodes were incredible, then the writing changed when the afro guy came out of nowhere. I'd stick around for a 2nd season though, I like the relationship between the two main characters. |

| The anime started out pretty good and keep me engaged every episode. But after they came back from the moon, the story started to become weird. The phone was able to change the teleport beam destination, what genius scientist put this function on the phone? After that the story type changed from revenge to adventure comedy. Lame and out of place jokes here and there. Then the protagonist met self aware dutch wives, wasting bullets on said dutch wives. Did he get hard on that he can't use magic? Then battle with robot guy. Now the genre becomes epic shounen battle lol. The kingdom found their most dangerous threat, why don't they send more reinforcements lol. Why don't they use their teleport beam again? Can they just teleport their soldiers again just like they did on the moon? Suddenly the kingdom become stupid after the witches were eliminated. In the end it was shown there are multiple thriving countries beside the kingdom but somehow no other country support the witches. All humans agree that witches should be eliminated with unknown reason. The king said that witches should be dead to advance human is such bullshit reason, they can already go to moon and teleporting anywhere they want, what more advance they needed? |

| Okay, after thinking a little bit about the last few episodes and watching this one here are my thoughts. 1. I'm confused about how the "Love Magic" supposedly actually works. It seemed like each magic was at least partially grounded based on type, but if Love Magic's type is "suggestion" then how does it practically work? We see things like increased magical ability and increased physical ability, comparatively with Shirousagi's power it would stand to reason that it's some kind of buff magic, increasing latent skills and capacity. However, we also see things like healing broken bones and wounds as well as...fire? I know the effects were that of fire but was probably moreso the control of Adonis' internal body temperature. Combining these things I would theorize that Love Magic's type is some kind of internal limiter control/removal. This would enable the target to awaken latent abilities as well as supercharging their natural ones such as healing, temperature, physical and magical power, etc. Plus the compulsion to protect the caster. 2. The storytelling is actually pretty good. I don't know if it was the animation during the long fight which is probably pretty low quality to a lot of people (myself included, to a point), the sound design (which was odd to me at times) or the storyboarding (which could be the writer or the director I'm not sure, but was also strange to me at certain points), I can't quite put my finger on it but the last few episodes just feel sort of"off." That said, I really enjoyed the show outside of that. I was drawn into the world and it made me curious about a lot of things and interested in where the story was/is going to go. I think the Shirousagi fight might have been a little drawn out, but that could be due to the way that it came across in the media format. 3. What's with Doroka's total change of heart about revenge? Wasn't her whole character based on wanting to stop fighting and get along with everyone and now all of the sudden she "understand(s) revenge isn't wrong?" I kind of get Adonis changing his mind about her because she helped him fight and win, and he saw her real kindness thus becoming a little bit more trusting of her and understanding her better, but what happened with Doroka? She got beat up so suddenly she wants revenge too? Is she lying to him? I didn't get that impression. I'm not generally a person to use the term "wishy-washy" as I believe that changing your mind when you get new information is a respectable and understandable thing to do, I'm just really surprised that one serious battle and she seems to have given up her ideals. Maybe there's more to it that I'm missing but I just don't really get it. All in all, decent anime with interesting premise and story. Animation and direction is good at times, so-so at times in my opinion but would be interested to see more. Didn't Adonis also say he was going to fix Doroka's eyes? |

| I was wondering if they were going to bring back some of the good ol’ gore and I suppose that turned out to be one of the few saving grace of the series? On a more serious note, I was definitely curious given how the first couple of episodes turned out but it didn’t seem like the show really knew where it was going from there on. Post space was even worse, the character dynamics was just .. weird. But hey, at least the Queen seems like a good antagonist. Not sure about the little sister that returned in the final moments though. |

Adonis was already slapping Shirousagi around quite a bit, he probably could've just summon a boulder and squashed him to death, but instead he summons the 2nd freaking ice age??! Talk about overkill. Guess he really really hated the guy. Although even with his love-spell-power-up-whatever, it's funny to think that he had the ability to freeze an entire desert and yet was struggling against some flying rocket hands earlier lol First half was better I think we all can agree. As over the top and edgy as it was, it did present something interesting and worth watching. The attempts at humour were also more prominent in the second half as well, which would otherwise be fine, but not with an overall darker tone that this show has. Idk man not much else to say right now other than idk why I picked this back up again, should've just leave it at episode 6 where I dropped it. That said, as they showed those other kingdoms, I got kind of interested again. I guess the highest praise I can give it right now is that if there is going to be another season in the distant future (it will be quite awhile if there will be one, I hear that this season covered like 30 chapters of only about the current 40-ish in the manga), I will watch it. That is, if I remember enough of this until then. Not AWFUL, but could've been much better with a little tweaking. I'm feeling a 4/10, but the first couple episodes were actually kinda good so I'll raise it a whole point just for that. 5/10 edit: actually no f*ck it this is a fail, 4/10 it is |

| Doroka. This girl had to die once, see all her fellow witches and best friend slaughtered AND get her eyes ripped out to come to the conclusion that maybe revenge against the humans is justified. Imagine dying once and not learning a damn thing, she deserved getting her eyes gouged out for being such an idiot lol. Absolutely mind numbing. |

| Ultimate freezing magic attack looked sick! Absolute Zero, wrecking everything around. I'm not talking only about the city they were fighting at, but also said attack affecting places far, far away, like Punch's base. After all, it was located circa 70km from the mechanical dolls city. Speaking about dolls, reconciliation dolls made by Doroka survived the fight. :D Good final episode. I enjoyed watching this series. It has cool vibes, intriguing characters, fresh setting and atmosphere. There were some moments I wished the animation was better, or that they were animated at all, without relying only on motionless frame, carried by voices of i.e. characters walking and talking, but overall, I don't feel they were a huge deal. Production quality wasn't over the top sakuga, but it was consistent throughout the show, which is always nice to see, at least to me. I'd love to see a sequel of any sort, preferably Season 2, one day. Judging from the post-credit scene, I think we can see it someday in the future. |

| The story got a little worse in later episodes, but it was ok to watch. The plot and fights were kinda strange sometimes. There were some animation mistakes few times, like her ripped shirt got fixed, but her left shoes and his right did not? :P OP was good, but the ED was not. I hoped for story to end with destruction of that Redia capital :/ It is hinted for second season and/or many more but I doubt there will be animation :/ It is sad she lost eyes. Eyes and hands are most important after head, hearth and other organs :D Also sad that there won't be any more witches revived. 7.5/10 |

| What are people smoking about animation? Those are pretty good compared with your average isekai fight animation as a whole. I taken inconsistenscies animation (in term of detailing) rather than static animation anyday. People also seems downplayed Adonis feeling related to the how shit that world he living. The world that so fucked up to be living with if you not from Redia Capital (as anime only perspective). And im also glad that his revenge isn't gone at all, just developed to be more reasonable manner rather than blind hate as we seeing on early episodes. Overall 8/10. Pretty enjoyeble experiences, but yes the worldbuilding need to be more fleshed ot more if this get sequel. Lots of things showed to us at the end of this episode that is so interesting. Lastly, i glad watching this when the hate hype is gone so i'm able form my own opinion properly and not parroting anyone |
