| No, but I consider it a master cartoon or the epitome of mastery, a true art. My German backup girlfriend or a Bleach fangirl also loves the series. Only the first season of that Korra series was very entertaining. I still prefer TLA which was incredible. In 2004, there was this Miguzi block. The only cartoons at the time that came close are Teen Titans and the 2003 TMNT. IMHO, Avatar: TLAB totally surpassed One Piece (being introduced to America via said block) as best cartoon of 2004. In 2004, One Piece had a boring arc. Who the hell cares about some episode of rubber boy taking on a second rate villain that zapped like Pikachu? Second rate like Teen Titan's control freak rather than first rate like Ozai. |

| In Japan, the term "Anime" refers to everything that is animated. By their definition, Spongebob is an anime. In the rest of the world "Anime" refers to cartoons produced in Japan. So, by our definition, Avatar is not an anime. Avatar was written by 2 Americans. It was primarily animated in South Korea and mostly funded by Nickelodeon. |
