| Amuro seems to have a lot of intuition about war tactics and Bright just wants to go in Gundam blazing every time, I have to side with Amuro on that one. Although Gundam is a symbol of their strength it could get damaged and also put more pressure on Amuro, which we see here. Did he have to take Gundam though? Like ...that's military property. |

OMG anime logic was super thick back in the 70's. In one episode we have a crew member, Sayla, steal and damage Gundam. And her punishment? Half a day in the brig, at best. And then everything is forgiven/forgotten.
In this one, Amuro steals Gundam 'cause ... Teen angst or some such stupid reason. And by the next episode everything will be forgiven/forgotten.... Sh!t men, how da fudge haven't the Zeon captured/destroyed the White Base & Gundam?! I mean with lax security and laissez-faire I'm shocked the Zeons haven't won the war already!
On the other hand, that 70's fashion wow. Those tight jeans, and jean jacket Amuro was wearing when he stole Gundam were really something else. And the male Federation uniform are cool ASF! Specially the one Amuro uses while inside the White Base/not while in battle.
