| This seems like an interesting thread to post in... though I must admit I haven't read the vast majority of the posts. I have no idea why girls like yaoi, but the fact of the matter is, they do. I will not make any stipulations on whether or not they get excited sexually at reading these types of media (in the same way that males would get excited by reading hentai), but I guess you could say it's the forbidden nature of it that they find attractive. Some of the girls I know seemed to be really pleased at the fact that people would give them weird stares when they read yaoi manga in the subway. I have never read a yaoi manga in my life, the closest to it would probably be X/1999 that I am yet to finish, so I am not aware of most of the specifics, so I can't comment on why the content would in any way be interesting. |

| The thing with yaoi is the girls are that are pretty and are getting boyfriend's don't like it, and the ugly girls who can't get a boyfriend do. They simply know they can't get the guy, and would be jealous if some other girl hooked up with them, so they prefer a guy. It's like "if I can't have you nobody else can!" kind of thing. In my opinion gays can't love, gay is simply an act of lust. It goes against evolution + natural selection, it is abnormal. And the characters in yaoi, look like ugly manly girls, and the way they behave is so surreal that it's pathetic. Nobody is going to be an uke in real life, but this bullshit gets these ideas in the fangirls heads and then they try to make you kiss other guys and other stupid shit like that. Perhaps the fangirls should watch some realistic gay interaction. And hetalia yaoi is just god awful, it's like calling your entire country queer. At least yuri fans aren't as overbearing and annoying about it. Side note: I dislike both yuri and yaoi. |

| Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my standards and your standards are obviously different. Going to a single convention one can see the kind of 'girls' who like this kind of stuff, none of them good enough to even be considered datable. Ugly girls can get married too. And even if she was beautiful that's one example out of the many I have seen. When I asked a bunch (20-30 at different times in life) of amazing looking girls what they thought about guy on guy relationships all of them said it grossed them out. |
