We all already know the rumbling can't be stopped in AOT world, even with the best military weapon they had.

but, in real life, we had a lot of stronger weapon like nuclear bomb, which is now claimed to be 500x stronger than the nuclear bombs that dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki

so thought?

With current technology? Yes, but it'd lead to another catastrophe. Natural disaster after using a lot of powerful weapons at once (like thermonuclear weapons devastating a significant percentage of the whole planet's land area, leading to climat changes etc.), and thus - to huge humanitarian crisis. Not to mention the general destruction of buildings, farms, water supplies.

That's why either way, the humanity would be screwed, sadly.

The biggest nuke ever tested had its power cut in half out of fear that it'd cause too much damage, and even then the blast wave circled the planet 3 times. Killing Eren would be literally as easy as pushing the switch.

One well placed nuke on Eren would fix it.

I don't think we would need to go nuclear. Modern APFSDS could probably do the trick.

Correct. It was called Tsar Bomba and it was created in the USSR. Long story short, its final version (the one that got detonated in Sukhoy Nos), had its power decreased from 100 Mt to 50 Mt. In theory, they could've created a bomb capable of having strength of 100 Mt, but it would've required including uranium-238 fusion tamper. Aside from doubling the power and having even greater explosion, the radiation fallout caused by that test would've been just too massive. Soviet Union preferred to show off with the newest powerful weapon that was menacing and dreadful enough even without releasing its full power. Arms race during the Cold War resulted in creating weapons that would put the Rumbling into shame.

That being said, I don't think that using such bomb would be mandatory to neutralize the Rumbling. Sure, that'd be an efficient way to wipe out Eren, his legion of bodyguards, and even destroy the starting point of the Rumbling. But with our current technology, other types of weapons (less deadly) would be sufficient enough to successfully stop the apocalypse. The question is: how much time would it take? As we could see in Attack on Titan, the Rumbling advanced very fast, killing a lot of people in the process. Each hour of waiting would mean a lot of people losing their lives.

We can stop it really easy, we don't even need nukes for it.

WW1 Prussia military is enough to obliterate the Rumbling. The artillery they had and the planes with bomb attached with them had enough explosion and capability to survive heat they they will explode when they are very near the target. The U-boats can easily knock them out when are in the sea as well. This sh!t is so weak that the writer have to use his write privilege to nerf technology humanity should have at that time to make Rumbling feasable. Apparently we can have spider man gadget but not U-Boats and competent naval battery.

The prussian military is pretty much equal to the armies that we see in AOT. The armies show stuff that we would have seen in WW1, It's fair to say that if the rumble happened in our world during WW1 we would be fucked. U boats would be useless, the titans as shown in the manga and anime are really fast swimmers and the U boats would have faired poorly against titans swimming deeper or around the same depth as them.

AOT makes a great point in that the era that we see their world in is perfect for a rumble but as technology passes the rumble and titans would have been obsolete.

I believe a better foe against the rumble are the WW2 powers, I don't see the rumble performing good against our world during the second world war. Modern comparisons are not fair, a few B1s, B52s or F15s can destroy the rumbling in less than a day.

If the rumbling happens in real life

If it happens exactly like the anime, going from Madagascar, nuking Eren pretty much solves the problem, so the rumbling would end in an instant.

Realistically, let's just say that Eren, or his inheritors, knows about nukes, how strong the world military is, and that Paradis Island already has the technology and military power on par with the rest of the world, then it would be a lot more difficult. If there are Eldian all across the world, just like in the anime, then controlling them, or turning them into Titans, even pure ones, can cause massive damage globally. Considering the fact that they would very likely be put in military service, then the military would be partially paralyzed. If there are Eldian on battleships, submarines, and stuff, those are screwed, too. Imagine an Eldian working in a nuclear reactor, even just as cleaner. The worst part is, Eren, or whoever controls the Founder, doesn't have to show themselves to control the Rumbling, they can just hide somewhere, anywhere in the world, or even in space, and still can control it just fine. Military response would be slow, and can't operate at full power, because of all the Pure titans roaming around, and because of the reasons I mentioned above, leading to even more casualties. Even if we use nukes, we would likely have to nuke every major city in the world, which can be even more destructive, to kill all the titans, colossal or not, and I'm not even talking about Paradis military forces aiding the Rumbling.

So, if the Rumbling exist in real life, regardless of how powerful our military and technology we have in the future, we would still very likely fucked

With all the technology and weapons we have these days, probably. The ''normal'' Titans themselves would not be such a problem either.
It doesn't change the fact that such a sight would certainly be terrifying.
When the manga was still coming out, I had a dream in which there was a rumbling of colossal titans. Just seeing them so realistic in a dream made me faint with fear.

Eren has the Warhammer, even if we drop the nukes he can just put a shell around him and the colossal titans' necks, nothing can stop the Rumbling

I would bet that if the jaw titan can break the shells from the warhammer, that bunkerbusters, mavericks, hellfires and nukes can also break them.

if one nuke can destroy one country, then doing it with eren shouldn't be a problem.

If countless collosal titans actually start moving together then yeah there's no freakin way we can stop the destruction even if we somehow able to manage the rumbling

Because first of all there had to be some kind of limitations to the number of Titans moving, if not then we would already be doomed

Now let's imagine there are 1 Million such Titans then it would still take a lot of nuclear bomb to finish each & every single Colossal Titan which in turn would effect the whole earth indirectly if not directly

We will definitely face a lot of destruction either way

Taking out Eren would be relatively easy. We don't even have to resort to nukes. Modern armor-piercing ammo and ballistic missiles would decimate titans. Not to mention, we have jets. Ape-titan would have a hard time hitting them. Titans would be destroyed by guided missiles, several kilometers away from Rumbling.
