That said what a waste. Why be that brutal at all if you're just going to censor the blood? Also, no one cares about these characters. They really should have just done the whole flashback in one episode cause splitting it up the way they did was annoying and gave the audience zero time to care about these characters. The ending of the flashback was dumb too. Let's just throw away three more lives instead of regrouping and fighting another day. Let's just not tell our god anything that happened, hide from them, and ask them to leave so Ryu can go on a revenge murder spree. The not flashback part was dumb too. Healing magic exists yet we didn't use it until Bell wanted to take a swim in the Mermaid toilet. How could they regroup and fight another time if the Juggernaut was still there? Also Ryuu already used all of her magic, it takes time to recover it. |
| 0 complaints. Amazing episode. Probably the best Danmachi episode ever. Ryus backstory was perfect. I even felt a bit scared about her here even though this anime gives me 0 reason to ever question a main characters survival after the revival last season It just hit me, they probably have to face the juggernaut again at some point, that will be crazy. |

| Not gonna lie. Despite my general dislike towards this franchise, this episode was indeed almost perfect. And I say "almost" because there were still aspects that brought down the episode's overall quality such as the no explanation of Jura surviving despite Ryuu stabbing to death what was supposed to be his body and of course, the inevitable conclusion with Ryuu falling for white knight Bell after some cliche words. Those aspects aside, I still found this episode extremely solid. Ryuu's character and backstory are easily peak DanMachi so it sure will be a shame when the spotlight returns to Hestia and co. Hayami Saori did fantastic with the voice acting and I absolutely loved the OST during the "Luminous Wind" scene. |

If they tried to escape the Juggernaut would have killed them like the others. |

| This is the best Danmachi I've seen, I even want to think it's better than the first season. I knew from the beginning that Ryuu is for me the best character in the anime, better than Ais. |

| best episode imo in whole series i like how JC staff fleshing out the Ryu as a character at this moment she is the most developed and imp character (even that hestia and aiz) episodes like these make you feel how grateful we are watching animes |

| oh shit, this episode's title scares me, i'm not ready lol starting the episode with a ton of explosions, we all know who did it and what happened because of it lol fucking jura jura's familia which kept doing bad things vs astraea familia and their justice , who will prevail? (we already know the answer, fml lmao) just like in present time, so much dungeon destruction spawned the big monster, with all those scary sounds before it even came close to them it didn't even take a second between it appearing and taking multiple victims, what a terrible sight we also saw how it used the girls magic agains't them, that's how Ryo knew it in earlier episodes knowing there's no hope left, the other 3 girls, who are already in a bad shape, decided to sacrifice themselves to save Ryu, who was the only one still with a decent chance of survival after telling their goodbyes and Kaguya giving her some blades, they went away while Ryu watched them with tearful eyes... time to start chanting her magic the little blind girl's sacrifice, activated a ton of bombs, while Kaguya managed to hit it with her sword before dying herself ... lastly Alise, used her own time to do some attacks, not even stopping after being hit by the monster's nail, ending up with a big flame... which obviously was partly refleted at her, that must have hurt finished with her chanting, she used the same spell as last episode, Luminous Wind, scaring the monster away clearly depressed by the loss of her friends, she managed to escape, but refused to go to their home, it would remind her of the friends and she didn't want to face the goddess either after a while, she went back to the 30th floor to bury her friends, but the monsters devoured them, bones and all...damn after somewhat making them a grave, with no corpses, but at least with some of their weapons... Ryu didn't know what to do... her friends wanted her to live, while she wanted to die and join them... tormented by that, she decided to hunt the people who made this happen, jura and his familia ... not for justice, but only for revenge asking her goddess to let ther leave the city, it was accepted, but she should give up on justice. the goddess didn't remove her from her familia but that might be just an act of pity acting on her hatred for jura's familia, she destroyed anyone who even had any ties to them, even if they were innocent (?) no unfair methods were spared, traps, ambushes, working during night, anything went, if it meant killing bad people, not caring about consequences (she wanted to die anyway) she finally met jura, and we know how she cut his ear and arm, but unfortunately left him alive... which ofc, was not a good thing, sicne he made it happen again jura's familia God appeared, but Ryu didn't feel like fighting him and left i don't think her friends left her alive wanted her to end up with such a revenge... but then again, they wanted to beat jura when the dungeon problem happened... anyway, revenge was done and she again wanted to die... that's when another person came to help her, Syr, and from past episodes, we know Ryu ended up working in the guild with her back in present day, she was dreaming about her friends, asking them to take her with them... but Bell saved her again, so no death yet lol how many times will she try to die, just to miraculously survive? Bell attack was so strong that it completely destroyed the collosseum, revealing another passage Bell carried her, while she kept asking him to let her, a murdered, just die there, in the place her friends also died despite that, in Bell's perspective, she is an hero who saved him and his friends multiple times, so, it's not his right to judge her for her past crimes... in his eyes, her justice lives on, and that's enough to make her cry ... maybe going home is worth it, as long as Bell is with her ofc, their happy moment together didn't last long, a barbarian came at them out of nowhere and knocked Bell unconcious the monster went in to eat Bell, and Ryu went in a spiral of dispair, remembering her friends deaths again... screaming Bell to wake up... but it was all fake, a trap to lure and kill the monster LOL Ryu's face got so red HAHAHAHA she made him promise to not do that again, her heart couldn't stand it if he repeated that joke the found a river, no one ever mentioned that, because everyone stayed away from the colosseum... Bell fainted into the river, and Leon followed him there, before using a heal spell drinking some water and then giving some to Bell, how cute she looks now lol after such a hard to watch first half (that we have been antecipating for weeks), the ending of this episode was ridiculously cute, so my heart is healed lol like people said in other comments, Bell certainly just picked a girl in the dungeon haha |
