| although i had noticed it in earlier episodes, the soundtrack really does shine in this episode. the use of colourful synths during the first moments of the attack, and uncomfortable reverse elements during the fight sequence, it really does show that ushio is a master of his work. |

| Himeno seducing scene was so fricking hot ngl. It should have been me fr. Another reason is that Denji is still a kid and Himeno gave him french kiss twice which is pretty wrong 😬 Atleast they didn't do it. Denji wants his v-card to be taken by Makima. Himeno and Denji alliance has officially been formed lol Things turned dark real fucking quick in the second half of the episode. I'm not sure but I don't remember this being so sudden and jaw-dropping to me in the manga but in the anime, the ost, the slow-mo, and the sheer suddenness of the situation are terrifying. The authoritarian and stern-looking Makima lying there lifelessly was so unnerving. The Yakuza gang is here to get their revenge on Denji and to fulfil their 'other' goals. Aki's Curse Devil failed to kill Katana-man as he's a hybrid too just like Denji. Himeno unleashes Ghost Devil's full power and sacrifices herself in the process but it was in vain. The girl's Snake Devil took it down in one fell swoop. Himeno's sacrifice was so fucking painful ngl. Seriously, what an episode. I loved how fast the tone shifted, how suddenly a new threat emerges and how quickly Public Devil Hunters have to respond to them. The new Himeno-themed ED was really good. EDIT: Wtf is up with these degenerate CGI haters? A few seconds of decent CGI ain't ruining the show. It's people like these who just jump on the hate bandwagon. Same for the people who always say "This will break the internet". Just enjoy the damn anime ffs. |

| This episode started so nice, had some great shots from the balcony with the city ambience etc. the ending though.. oh the ending ouch T_T |
| Damn... that was a hell of a tonal shift from start to finish. Such is life. Incredible but also extremely depressing in a heartbeat. Manga readers really are having a ton of fun watching us anime-onlies, aren't they? |

| Things turned dark way faster than I expected. There's no way Makima would actually die that easily. I knew it was going to happen at some point but we now have a Denji copycat but with swords instead. RIP Himeno. She will definitely be missed. |

| Story has felt rather weak and unfocused the last few episodes, with hard to justify/accept mood swings that left a rather sour taste. By the way, how can normal society even exist with law enforcing forces being so outpowered by the bad guys? Sorry mister writer, your worldbuilding seems to have fallen victim to your plotting. Edit: The Judas release has AWFUL meme subtitles. When Himeno says at 9:45 未成年に手を出したら大法だからね 大法 (Literally: "Because making a move on a minor is against the law, you know.") The Judas subs translate it as "They toss in you in jail for doing that kinda with minors y'know" This is so incredibly cringe I almost puked. Knowing enough Japanese to cringe at bad subtitles but not enough to not need them at all is an unfortunate place to be. |
