| I am genuinely wondering how y'all deal with farts. Of course it's easy to let them out shamelessly if you live alone. But what if you have roommates or live with your family? Do you wait to fart in secret, or do you do it anyway? Do you apologize after farting? What do you feel, knowing that you are a person capable of farting who will probably fart many more times in the future? And what do you think about other people farting around you? Do you shame them for it? For the longest time, I was fart-shy. I would do it in secret or leave the room quickly if I felt a fart coming. I also hated when I heard my mom fart. But these days I feel more comfortable with it. I live with my fiancé who assured me that farting is natural and I don't have to be ashamed anymore. Nowadays, I find farts mostly funny. |

I don't feel like I should stop my fart. if i'm with people i don't know i prefer farting in a place alone. luckily my fart is silent so i take advantage of that. and it doesn't look like it stinks either. Do you apologize after farting? if it stinks a lot then yes. my bad i can't control it's just nature. And what do you think about other people farting around you? Do you shame them for it? not much. would probably laugh or just ignore it. and if it stinks i would probably say something like "dude your ass is rotten" there are times when it doesn't work. if someone farts when I'm eating it bothers me. |

I did it in the bathroom like a wellmannered person should. But over the years my fiancee started to let one rip or belch out loud every now and then and I would scold her about it. She became increasingly disrespectful after I confessed to cheating earlier this year and that included passing or breaking wind and so I started to just do it too. Now she doesn't want me to fart in the bed or anything anymore or swear when she started all of it. I will never understand people who don't treat others the way that they would want to be treated. These rules for thee not for me people never like it when the shoe is on the other foot. People fail to realise that I hold back for their own benefit not for me. Because I know that when I do it I will do it better. I will do it harder. And I will hurt you. So if I don't look you in the eyes its not because I'm shy. It's because I don't want you to be afraid.  |

| For me farting is a sign of bad diet. In normal circumstances, not a lot of farting going on, so I can let those little pesky ones out silently, and act as if i cannot sense it. But if i am sufferring due to a medical issue or poor diet, then if at work, go to the toilet, if at home, no problem, let it rip. But if farting, no sugary foods or drinks, no vegetables for a day or two, and two cups of misou soup per day. |

| Unless there's something wrong with my stomach I never feel like farting when I'm around others. It's like the brain knows it's social suicide and saves it for when I'm alone. It's an evolutionary trait. Farting in public will reduce mating probability. |
