| The amount of care that has gone into adapting such a simple portion of the series has been a treat to experience but it leaves me insanely eager to see whats to come, the way they padded things out with cinematic shots and tone setting pauses really enhances everything giving a series largely associated with its breakneck pace some time to breath and fester though i sincerely question how the hell they are gonna find the time to do that for the latter portion, really not sure how S2 is gonna be adapted or where it will stop. |

| I liked it. I was very hyped for this anime having read the manga, and after it was all said and done, I gave it a 7. Could it have been better? Of course, but for what it was, it was a fun ride. Things are gonna pick up in next season though, hoping for an increase in quality along with it. |

| That was great anarchy shounen with an unusual main character. I really liked the beautiful drawn scenery and the many dialogs of gold, I've rarely seen this kind in many other anime. When I am all honest the fights don't deliver much to the story, CGI looks sometimes good sometimes bad. Probably would work out with less crazy stunts without losing the shows appeal. I hope next season will have 24 episodes as 12 aren't enough for CSM. |

| It was good but it just doesn't do the manga justice imo. So many cool and iconic panels ruined. Reminds me of the other adaptation Mappa did, Dorohedoro, which was also underwhelming. |
| As an anime-only CSM watcher, I didn't think I'd enjoy this series from what I'd heard about the manga, but I was pleasantly surprised. It isn't one of my favourites, but still a solid 8/10 and has me anticipating the next season. P.S. I also thought of Chrollo with Denji's "requiem" for Himeno. If that was intentional, good reference. |
| Did this live up to the massive hype it was getting? Personally, no. Did I still enjoy it? Definitely. Not sure when the next season will come out but judging from its popularity I'd say sooner rather than later. I enjoyed it enough to start reading the manga to find out what happens next. |

| can't believe we have to wait 2 years for the next season but i might just re-read the manga in the meantime........sad its over but what a fun ride!!! i don't understand the boycotting of the anime adaptation at all because it really lived up to its standards! i'm not even a huge mappa fan but CSM was handled with so much care and you can tell!!!! |

| FAR better than Demon Slayer and JJK, but sadly it felt like it could have been a little better. Specially this ending episode that outside of Aki's scenes, they weren't as investing and honestly convoluted. But I'm just glad I can watch an overhyped show and at least say I didn't forced myself to end it. 7.5/10 and strong potential on getting a better score next Season judging by how to story improved on the 2nd half of this season |

| I think literally my only major criticism with the adaptation as a huge CM fan is the colour palette. It's so muted and grey and I don't think the reasons for it justify it. It's already an over-the-top world, and it doesn't really go to make it any 'more' believable or cinematic for me. It just makes it more dull and unexciting to look at. It's not like the real world is anywhere near as muted and grey, and the tone of Chainsaw Man as a whole has certainly never felt that way for me. It just feels like an odd clash to the core style of Chainsaw Man (unabashedly loud, hyperviolent and itself) that is only a detriment. Presentation-wise Chainsaw Man has always been excitement forward and depression in the back, subverting - not the other way around. |
