Welp, there's a twist and Boruto should know better judgment on who to trust in this arc. Then again, he's the type of guy that pushes himself as a shinobi.

Not going to lie though, some parts of this episode got kinda creepy especially that puppet. Might be the creepiest one I've ever seen.

A nice conclusion to this arc. Overall it was a pretty good arc with some interesting ideas and many twists.
I hope that we will see Ouga again. She's the 8th kara inner after all and it seems like she has a crush on Boruto x)

Definitely the best arc of the year imo (even though this isn't such a big achievement since the anime was at its worst this year).
Next year seems very promising though, Sasuke retsuden adaptation will start in the next ep and then finally the Code arc adaptation 🔥

The actual Ouga seemed to be a great character and kind of reminded of Shaman King appearances, glad that she survived, although too bad that they took away from Yatsume as their secret identity because the other one was good too

Not going to lie that was some decent ending, with Ouga identity and her genjutsu revelation as the eighth Kara inner member. Now i understand what the ed song mean, for a little. So i appreciate that!

Anyway, Sasuke Retsuden for the next year new month. That will be a good pump to return what's missing about this series. So yeah, let's see next!

The conclusion of this arc is great.

Oh ok, so that's how they were planning to wrap up this arc? With a very fast paced episode with the final twist, a quick change of heart and immediate resolution? Welp, that was not handled well honestly.

In any case, another filler arc is over and the next one is coming up for 2023. What has been this year for the series? Pretty bad if I do say so myself. No canon episodes and one of the most dull resolutions as of yet. Please don't repeat this for the new year.

As we start off, Boruto wakes up in this strange room and it seems that everyone who was apart of the experiments are all alive. Rokuro and Yatsume also wake up and the three decide to escape and then call for help.

Rokuro insists that Yatsume give him the map, but she refuses to do so. Unfortunately, it seems that they get lost and Boruto gets separated from Yatsume and Rokuro. Rokuro confronts Yatsume and ends up taking the map from her and shooting one of his insects into her body.

Rokuro goes off by himself and finds Ouga (who is a puppet). Ouga then jumps and that’s that.

Boruto is carrying Yatsume on his shoulder and the two are trying to get out together. Yatsume warns Boruto that she can’t hold on for any longer and it seems that she starts going crazy. She cuts Boruto’s leg and stabs Boruto’s hand as well. Boruto figures out that this is a continuation of a genjutsu and that’s when the bomb is dropped…

YATSUME IS ACTUALLY OUGA!

Ouga was indeed the one who killed Batta and Fugou in the genjutsu to try and frame Kiseru so that she can continue her experiments. She also reveals that she is the eighth Inner that was created by Amado. HENCE THE EPISODE TITLE EIGHTH TRUTH! THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE NOW! Ouga was created to help Amado with his research on the human heart. For the last part of it, she tried to examine Jigen’s heart, but that didn’t work out to say the least. Now Ouga has no reason to live.

So Ouga gathered everyone because she though if she saw everyone in a desperate state, she could regain her desire to live. She has discovered that Boruto’s desire to live is different from everyone else. Ouga tells Boruto to end this genjutsu he has to stab her with his kunai. Boruto figures out if he does that, then he’ll kill her.

Boruto refuses to do such a thing and instead decides to her Ouga find a reason to live so that she can wake up and undo the genjutsu herself. The world starts collapsing and Boruto starts running with Ouga. Boruto tells Ouga that he won’t abandon anyone. That reminds me of Naruto in a way. Naruto has never said that specifically, but this is the kind of thing that he would do nonetheless. Boruto tells Ouga to find her own dream, and all of a sudden, the floor beneath her collapses.

Ouga tries to grab Boruto’s hand, but fails. She claims that it’s impossible, but Boruto pushes her to keep trying. As she opens her eyes, she starts to see clearly and is able to grab Boruto’s hand. She wakes up in the real world and prepares to end to genjutsu once and for all.

Back with Sarada’s group, Sarada continually pleas to the ANBU to let them continue the mission so that they can look for Boruto. Mitsuki grabs the communication device and all of a sudden, they get word from Boruto.

It seems that everyone is alright and they can return to their normal lives. Kiseru was able to find his friend as well. Shamo finds Boruto and gives him a letter that’s addressed to him. It seems that Ouga was able to find what she was looking for all this time, a dream. It seems that everything has ended happily ever after!

I’m excited to see more Boruto: Naruto Next Generations content!

Boruto taking that kunai to the hand reminded me of Naruto pulling off the rasengan against Kabuto. A genjutsu within a genjutsu... Inception? The dream is even collapsing XD. Speaking of dreams, wonder what her dream is now? Will the Class Rep have a love rival?

On another note, Yatsume is Kawaki's predecessor to be a vessel so maybe she'll appear again... surely only in the anime though.

Love the animation of this final arc. Especially on the last scene where Boruto and Ouga running when the Genjutsu world started to crumble. The mood suddenly shift after seeing next week preview. The quality so different and it turn off my mood 😂

Loved the characters of Shamo and Ouga and their conclusions, I really hope we get to see them in the future, thought that it's probably not going to happen, but i'll still hope for it.

While I had issues... 5/5, loved it
Boruto really felt like Naruto. I'm annoyed Amado isn't doing his job and said nothing about Ouga (VIII) but I'm glad no one was actually harmed and she can live nicely now. Since this is all [anime] canon there is potential. With that said, the rest of the episodes are all going to be manga canon so no more anime filler or anime canon.

All Kara Inners are accounted for now. Good way to go into what will hopefully be what leads to episode 1's start.

Having such a powerful genjutsu ability makes sense as we know about the impossible to escape infinite tsukiyomi that makes your own reality.

I love how Boruto is just like "it's a letter from Ouga" so casually hahaha
