So we are finally at the end now, huh? I... was moved by this episode. This is coming after the washroom.

Not only from the animation standpoint that throughout this whole season was stellar and it showed when it counted, but from the characters specially was it great. Shigeo finally being able to accept himself for what he is and overcoming his fears. Reigen taking a huge step forward (a lot of steps if we count the running sequence heh) towards him in trust. And speaking of trust, Dimple finally getting his redemption as a character and stating why he has been here all this time. And the rest not falling behind and getting a new look or standing up for themselves.

This was a series of joy, sadness, reflection, growth, acceptance and so much more. It made me question stuff about myself and I really enjoyed it for what it is. While it saddens me that it's come to an end, better leave strong than staying mediocre.

PS: It took a while but the opening sequence song is now a bop as well.

An alright end. As i suspected, no consequences for Mob for destroying the city. 2/5

i had this same complaint back when the manga finished but years have passed since then for me to reflect on it better. the reason why i no longer see this as detrimental to the series is because how would punishing mob accomplish anything? mob was experiencing something akin to a dissociative episode and merely casting punishment on him would lack the empathy and understanding the series has always had. not to say his actions should be glossed over just because he wasn't in control at the moment, i would have also preferred more focus to be had on this, but i can't tell if by "consequences" you mean more acknowledgement of the situation or punishing mob for it.

of course he should be punished
In season 2 mob was mad about 2 villains because they destroyed a shop
But it's not important if he destroyed all the city

you do know that punishing mob would achieve nothing, right? in fact it would be downright counterproductive.
it's like punishing an emotionally unstable child who had no control during a mental breakdown when support and treatment are far more effective tools to helping them out. in s2 mob was more mad about the fact that the espers believed they were inherently better than everyone and abusing their powers on the whole city, not just because "they destroyed a shop". comparing mob to those artificial epsers just seems like a huge reach.
if even toichiro, a grown man who (aside from being punished) still received a second chance at self-improvement, why wouldn't mob, a literal 14-year-old with trauma who was fighting back his alter ego to stop him??

I cried like a little kid... Mob Psycho 100 was one of those anime that made me fall in love from the first moment and surprised me in all its aspects, the characters, the animation, the soundtrack, the story, the comedy, everything was so gratifying and entertaining, not every day you find an anime like this.

That's why after the climax of the story and seeing how everything went back to normal but at the same time things changed for the better and the development of the characters was noticeable, it was infinitely satisfying and I couldn't help but cry with joy while remembering all the good times I had watching this anime.

I will really miss all the characters, but without a doubt I will remember them with affection and joy, especially because the ending of the story was perfect and I don't feel any kind of regret, only satisfaction.

naah it's just the writer is a coward he just wants to make it a happy ending at all cost
If a 14yo boy do a crime society is supposed to let him just because he's young ?
No it's not how the world works

i was gonna take you seriously but your pfp is aot so now i realize you don't know a thing about good writing 💀
if a mentally ill 14 year-old commits a crime they would not be punished as an adult but instead receive treatment. that's literally how society works idk how sheltered and skewed your view has to be to treat kids like irredeemable monsters. if you think basic human empathy is the writer "being a coward" then go back to aot with generic power fantasy eren with a bunch of blood and death since apparently that's your definition of "realism".

It doesn't feel like it was that long ago when I first watched Mob Psycho 100 back in 2016, but that moment when season 1's OP played during Reigen's struggle to get close to Mob was rather epic.

The animation was top notch during his attempt to reach Mob and when he finally did, it was revealed that he was only able to get there with the help of Dimple, which was something I wasn't expecting. It did lead to a heartfelt talk from Reigen that finally got Mob to go back to normal before going off to see Tsubomi, where he was sadly rejected. =(

With a bit of a timeskip, he does look like that Mob and Tsubomi are good friends again, which is nice to see. Not only that, he was heartwarming to see a lot of the cast join together to celebrate Reigen's birthday, before he clumsily drops and crashes into his own cake, making everyone laugh, including Mob himself. =)

Overall, this was a great way to wrap up Mob Psycho 100 altogether. While I still say that season 2 was better, season 3 still had its moments of comedy, excellent action animation and character development. I'm going to miss watching this series weekly, that's for sure.

God damn it. They seem to have spent all the animation on Reigen running. The best part was when reigen confessed to mob about his powers and stuffs. I was spoiled that dimple will be alive but they did a good job with him coming back. After all he was able to come back even when he was exorcised many times even from atomic level or something. Even though I had issues with this season (I think S2 is better) this will be one of my favorite series. Also mob is able to accept himself as he always thought his psychic powers were a curse or he never accepted his psychic side because of tsubomi. i knew he will get rejected i got spoiled on that as well. Anyways a good wrap up. Liked this ep more than previous one.

I will admit. I am slightly dissatisfied with this episode. Reigen says to be himself but we don’t see Mob use his powers in the epilogue. I mean, doesn’t that go against the entire message of the show. Like when he was trying to save the cat. Shouldnt he have instinctively used his powers cause he accepted them??Dont get me wrong, there were some great things in the episode. My favorite being Mob laughing at the end as a call back to the LOL group episode and him finally showing his emotions. Also, I know Dimple was able to come back to life, but I don’t think it was entirely necessary. Also, how did Reigen go thru all of the wind Mob was creating? Like overall, this was still a good episode, but I dont think i can call it a great episode. Maybe i needa rewatch

What a fucking series man. It's been a pleasure following this show since the first season aired back in 2016, and I got emotional watching this final episode. Mob is that type of character that you can't help but root for, he's such a good and wholesome kid and seeing his journey through these 3 seasons of finally being able to accept who he is has been a hell of a ride.

Reigen finally came clean and told Mob the truth that he's a fraud, and I enjoyed the unexpected return of Dimple. Loved hearing the first OP play as Reigen ran after Mob; I was hoping they'd play the first ED at the end but oh well lol. At the end of the day, I'm satisfied with this conclusion and I love seeing how happy and confident Mob is. Smiling and laughing with his friends, still having a decent friendship with Tsubomi, leading the Body Improvement Club without fainting, etc. It's been a tumultuous season for him so I'm glad he got a happy ending and can live a fun life now. I'm gonna miss this series so much. Thanks for the memories, Mob Psycho!!

It's so weird to see the actual ending to an on-going anime that I've been following. On one hand, there are things to nitpick and critique with this season. The pacing was overall a little too slow for my liking, with this season basically serving as one long epilogue to S2's finale. The finale itself had some questionable stuff, mainly Dimple returning out of nowhere and there being no evident consequences for Mob destroying the city. It also just dawned on me that Mob's parents played zero role in the final arc, which is very odd since it was so Mob centric. So overall, this is probably my least favorite season if I'm being honest, still viewing S2 as the peak with a perfect blend of humor, comedy and action.

With all that being said, I still respect the hell out of ONE for being able to weave together satisfying pay-offs for damn near everything in this story. Mob's insecurities and crush on Tsubomi, Reigen's manipulation of and relationship with Mob, Dimple's plan to become a god, Ritsu's jealousy of his brother's powers, the Telepathy Club's desire to meet aliens, the Claw president's relationship with his family, etc. I love these character so much and the emotional moments never fail to feel real, and so seeing all this closure was satisfying. Favorite moment in the finale had to be either them bringing back the first OP for Reigen's dash towards Mob (any anime that does this gets brownie points) or Reigen's happy birthday surprise at the end. It was a heartwarming callback to S2 where no one reached out to him for his birthday. And of course seeing Mob surrounded by loved ones and laughing with pure joy, our boy finally accepted himself and is going to be alright.

Overall, objectively this show has problems, with the overall pacing/structure of each season always feeling off to me. But subjectively? It's a beautiful, hilarious and action packed ride full of moments that are 100% genuine. Thank you Bones for bringing this niche and wacky series to life with such passion and hard work, it shows and probably resulted in your magnum opus.

Good conclusion, was a honour to watch this show in the last 7 years. Good memories around it.

Of course i'm not a huge fan of this season lot of time wasted with that yokai and alien arc that could easily be merged in this last arc to make things even more deep, but its always good to have a good feeling ending.

I liked the way how they approached realistic the relationship beetween mob and his loved one and seeing Reigen receving a homage was a good hearted choice, not just because of the party in the end, but also when he finally admits the truth.

Talking about that "truth", if Mob did not knew already about his secret, what were they talking about back in the bridge in season 2? lol

The closure we expected at the conflict was resolved in a predictable way too. I must say that I find the revival of Dimple as questionable seeing how touching episode 6 was. But for the sake of giving a happy ending, I can accept it.

I'm glad that Tsubomi rejects Mob, and ONE instead decides to show them being on better terms (as they call each other casually during evenings now).

I still have a soft spot for Reigen as many do, I assume. So ending the journey on his birthday was brilliant in my opinion.
