Don't end it there!!!
I was expecting Kuon to come out of nowhere and score not to bite the bullet and force a free kick but this was the only way he could really redeem himself.
Nagi might be the sharpest weapon in the field but Team Z has more deadly weapons and unlike Reo, Isagi can make the most of them.

Overall a really strong episode.Seeing Kuon's backstory and the foul he took was a bit redeeming for his character.
The Goalkeeper Lemon going into Ego mode and saving Reo's freekick was cool aswell.

the cliffhanger in this ep really hurt, the tension is so hiiigh (even though i know the outcome because i spoiled myself last week oops)... i loved the animation in this episode, especially the manga panel-like shot of isagi reaching for the ball when nagi was about to hit a goal, really looking forward to next week's ep! :- )

Just as I predict that Team Z still need all eleven members, including Kuon, to win.

Everyone in this facility is aiming to be the best striker, but from the latest real world trend, goalkeeper might be more valuable than striker, especially in a penalty shoot-out. I'm wondering if there's a Blue Lock program for goalkeeper as well...

Reo X Nagi relationship perfectly represents OneLove policy.

Kunigami in the after end-credit scene though, cutest thing in the world, he attac but he also protec.

what's it feel like being the funniest person on this entire goddamn site?

Enjoyable episode. Surely not my show of the season but we saw impactful moments (the first goal of Yoichi, Chigiri back to the best, Bachira "Monster" in action against team V and lastly rewakened passion in football for Nagi ). For me the CGI is not superlative.

What was the point?

The point is Kuon was acting on emotions, not logic. In the past, he hated his teammates for not having the same level of passion and ambition as him, and thought they were dragging him down. Now, he finally has the teammates he wanted, and he is the one dragging them down. So I guess he acted out of guilt rather than self-interest. it was an impulsive moment for him, not a result of careful thought. Smart people can do stupid things sometimes, but what he did couldn't be called stupid. You seem to think he can just rejoin Team Z and play his sexy soccer or whatever. The team no longer trusts him and will not pass to him. If he enters the pitch, he's only going to hinder the team. The best thing he could have done at that moment was foul Nagi and prevent a certain goal. Like you said, the team was doing fine without him, so his sacrifice prevented a goal and costs the team nothing.

Good point about Kuon acting out of guilt because I didn't see that coming and I then wondered why he did it since he said so himself he could still advance. I do wonder if Team Z does win what happens to Kuon? I mean since the team doesn't trust him does he still go along for the ride or can they replace him? Assuming they cannot replace him I guess he will have to earn the team's trust somehow?

Dude I can't spoil anything, but betrayal of that magnitude will no longer be a plot point from now on. The worst any player can do is to steal their own teammate's goal.

I really love this anime and what I love more is watching this anime during the World Cup. In two days I saw my national team being qualified to the semi final and this incredible episode. I can't wait see the next episode where I hope Isagi will score before watching the final.

Nagi is awakening, Isagi is awakening, everyone is awakening.

Nagi is a huge threat now the he doesn’t need to listen to Reo.

Thanks for not spoiling as I haven't read the manga. Glad to hear that level of betrayal is done though.

Ah look someone’s afraid of losing and he’s a.. prodigy. So what? Simple, will make it into the zone will solo everyone. But one must not forget, our protag is still in the opposing team. So the moment team V took a lead, team Z equalised with Kunigami scoring his third goal of the tournament. Pep talk from Raichi worked wonders.

Though this match isn’t just about football, we still have traitor-kun waiting for his redemption. And as expected Blue lock didn’t disappoint, they gave that dude a fucking redemption. Not like anyone cares at this point.

Match in extra time.. and team V were supposed to be monsters, just reminding. They should conclude this next episode.

facts, they should stop giving kuon so much coverage now like nobody cares abt him

And that shota-looking Kunigami at the end tho. Blessed.

Hmmm yeah no. I don't but much into the sympathy for Kuon. Aside from that red card play, he didn't really help and that last shout doesn't mean much considering his intentions. In any case, I guess Isagi's weapon's awakening let's him run simulations on real time. Let's see how it goes.

PS: Guess "The Blue Lock is real" meme is dead now huh? Good, you can't just rely on strikers to win the World Cup. Better work on those penalties for next time.

You do realise that made having strikers even more important right? Or do you think penalties are scored by defenders and goalkeepers? Seriously the iq level of some haters is insanely low

First: Grammar.

Second: *laughs in Hakimi's panenka penalty kick*

Speaking of elimination, I forgot how it works EXACTLY, but man I'd prefer if we could still see some of these guys here in the lowest division after their teams get eliminated (like THE KING, obviously). If I remember correctly, it's the highest scoring player from EVERY team that will be safe from elimination and get to advance. I guess that would mean Nagi would be safe should Team V lose in the next episode (gee I wonder who's gonna win), which is good because Nagi is freaking cool asf. But I'd also hate to loses dumb glasses guy, or any other characters that we they get us attached to as teams are eliminated.

Well, even if Team V lose, they will still be the first in the table. The top two teams progress so Team V is going to the next round regardless of the outcome of the match.

Was a good episode. Didn't expect Nagi to go do something on his own, but it was insane watching him do some more plays. Props to Iemon for finally having his moment as a goalie. At last, the snake decided to do something after he recognized that team Z still had a chance and them going past their limits. It was intense watching them hold on for so long and prevent the ball from going into the goal, will be interesting to see how they'll counter in the next episode.

Probably my favorite episode of the season so far personally. One thing I really liked was the visual representation involved in Team Z's 4th goal, the foreshadowing from Ego in the last episode saying that awakening was like the filling in of a jigsaw puzzle and Isagi being the one to finally be awakened during the game and being that last piece to the puzzle was fantastic.

Although goddamn that was one of the rudest cliffhangers I've ever been left on 😂
