| Tite Kubo's involvement with the anime has proven itself again. Probably around 6 days ago, I came across a tweet (in twitter ofc) that Kubo-sensei revealed an illustration of the original Gotei 13. Then I saw some theories around youtube that the OG Gotei 13 might be shown in this episode since this covers a manga chapter where Yhwach described the first generation Gotei 13 as a mob of brutal killers. Of course, I had expectations that I'll encounter the original Gotei 13 here, and well, my assumptions were rewarded in the forms of the first few minutes if this episode and the new visuals of the ED. Seeing the rainwater evaporate around Ichigo when he had a conversation with Byakuya just goes to show he was really furious of the enemy. Then came the Ichigo vs Yhwach fight which in majority was full of sakuga. Hearing the remix version of the ost Nothing can be Explained playing on the background when Yhwach gave a little hint of Ichigo's mother on who she truly is just set the mood for that scene precisely. Overall a very good episode. |

| Simply amazing. It's phenomenal how they made a better episode than the previous one. RIP Yamamoto & Byakuya. It's hard to see Soul Society recover after such a beating. Yhwach was even able to beat an enraged Ichigo. Also, Aizen being a badass, even when confined, was awesome. |

He really is the full package. Part everything, haha. Imagine how strong he will be once he manages to make use of those Quincy powers. Ichigo's mother in involved somehow and Yhwach called Ichgo his son? Dun dun dun! The mystery builds. Even after Byakuya's motivational speech, Ichigo still got manhandled. Not as badly as Aizen's finger move, but perhaps more brutal. The fight was well animated though and the music used was great. Aizen apparently was able to use his hypnosis on Yhwach just by Yhwach looking at him, which is quite the flex, considering that Yhwach probably never witnessed Aizen release his Shikai. So that must mean that Aizen got even more powerful since getting locked up, which is insane. The Soul Society really took a big loss in this first fight, but it's not as terrible as it could have been. I even made a graph. Red=Definitely dead. Orange=Injured, may or may not be dead. Green=Alive and well for all we know.  With this might seem pretty even, one thing to keep in mind in Yamamoto was as strong as the other Soul Reapers combined, so him dying is a big loss. Another thing to keep in mind is that the vast majority of the no name Shinigami were taken out as well. And lastly, Yamamoto and Kenpachi did most of the work themselves, haha. Also made a list of the revealed Sternritter Schrifts and names for what have been confirmed in the anime so far. ------- Danpmss said: I was contemplating that, but I decided not to in the end for a variety of reasons, not the least of which that it might distract users from reading the episode thread rules. I still haven't decided if I will add these every episode or not, but I figured that now that the so called first invasion ended and all the fighting is over for now, that this would be a great place to show a recap of sorts of what we know about the enemy abilities and the casualties that took place on both sides. You should edit these to be in the OP of your threads, man. Nice graph but the problem is that the normal men are more dead. They are understaff to go on their Shinigami routine which they could have after they realize that leave it to Captains, Vice Captains and other special individual to fight them. Because hollow need to be monitored and the newly passed souls need to be send to Soul Society. Nice graph and I thought the high rank Quincy had less casualties. | I can't believe this beautiful and fantastic adaptation is coming from Pierrot, the same studio that slaughtered TG, made Naruto unwatchable, and get the "first" Bleach canceled. |

| Just hearing "Nothing can be explained" again gave me the chills. Absolute banger episode with the fight between Ichigo and Yhwach being peak Bleach fighting. Seeing the Quincies methodically destroy Seiretei and butcher everybody was sad, but we are finally getting some glimps into the actual world building through Yhwach. Need to see and hear more from the early days of the squads. And of course, Ichigo's nature an upbringing. Many new open topics have arisen. |

| Really didn't like Yhwach vs Ichigo. Bleach usually has very good fights, but this one was a generic aura clash with animation that was way too fast to follow, and even pausing it showed really sloppy in-between frames. The studio knows how to do quick clashes with great animation and cohesiveness as seen in episode 6, so the fact that they gave us this mess in episode 7 really hurts imo. Other than that, the episode was solid. The fact that they showed more of the original Gotei 13 is great, but they also revealed a spoiler that I wish had been kept out of the anime to make a future reveal more surprising. |
