| It was very good, at the level of action as haikyuu and kuroko no basket. Maybe even more! But the mc is a little too intense for me and the eyes get kinda weird when the people are focusing up. |

| Not great, not bad. There's a lot of hype for this one thanks to its manga so I'll keep watching a few episodes to see if it does live to said hype, but from what I've seen on the first episode it doesn't look that good. As for now, it's way too edgy and character design, while functional to said style, doesn't suits me. I expect to drop it by episode 3-4 unless it has a huge improvement |

| This is the first soccer anime that I'm watching and the first episode was interesting. That Ego guy appears to be crazy but it looks like he was able to convince the participants to stay. I didn't realize going in that this is a 24 episode anime so I'm hoping it stays interesting and entertaining. It sure does look popular based on the number of comments. |

| Er... ok. So, there are those who complain when the sport is barely more than a backdrop to something that's more slice-of-life, perhaps even coming-of-age, and the thing focuses more on the drama (or comedy) aspects, right? Well, the same thing is happening here: we are being duped. This isn't football, this is an over-the-top battle royale that just happens to use football as its framework. And battle royale really isn't my cup of tea, tbh, the fact that I was getting certain BNHA and DGM vibes (among others) just from Jinpachi's very design, to say nothing of his whole speech and ideas - really isn't telling me to stick around. I appreciate the whole "flipping a concept on its head" idea, but the genre itself has always made me iffy. Having said that... 7th minute into the episode and Isagi and Kira's interactions and expressions are already gay af. That, and then... phantomfandom said: Ao Ashi might nail the principle of soccer right, but it doesn't have 300 highschool boys in a skintight suit locked in the same place. Blue Lock has. there's this. Cue a, shall we say eccentric guy, who just gets it into his head, and apparently manages to carry it too, to select 300 highschool boys, based on his own arbitrary and biased decision-making and just lock them all up together on a whim, just cutting them off from the world. Who wouldn't wanna do that?? And right off the bat they are given skintight bodysuits, no footwear to boot, and DAMN IT, for now everything also seems to be very nicely drawn too, with quite a bit of attention to detail. You know, just in case what the title can be abbreviated as didn't hit you in the head like a ton of bricks, being so on-the-nose. I am ... just utterly conflicted here. LOL. |
