| So, here’s another fun thread and today we’re talking bout Mario royalty.  We all know bout Princess Peach,Daisy and Rosalina. These days though, they’re put more so on the backburner it seems being used mainly for the spin offs like the party and sports games by Camelot, still wish they made golden sun Of course we have to give a special mention for mayor Rosalina as well too as she was that bitch in Mario Odessey kicking lots of ass and not needing some white knight to come for the rescue in exchange for crumb opposite gender validation lol. I’m going to use princess peach as my favorite for this example, as she kicks a lot more fucking ass than she is given credit for imo. Super Princess Peach and Super Paper Mario these are the ones I've played I'm sure there is others I still need to play like the Mario RPG on SNES. Now I chose these ones, as outside of the Sports and Party games where is kicking ass, I chose these ones because she plays a heavy part in the story and isn’t just a damsel in distress like she usually is. Super paper Mario gave her lot more personality at least, from what I noticed with her being a bit sassy and feisty while still maintaining her usual cheerful kind disposition.  Super Princess Peach reversed the roles and its not the Princess is on her “time of the month” meme I sometimes see around online. Its her saving Mario from Bowser and it would have been Luigi in Luigi’s Mansion case but here its Princess Peach going out of her way to save Mario this time. This game uses her emotions as powerups to get around obstacles and defeat enemies and save as much toads as she can find on the way too save Mario. Gameplay wise its simple and clean that’s the way you’re making me feel tonight and it’s a cute fun play imo and wish she was more playable in the mainline games outside the party and sports stuff. Here's my other personal opinions on the Mario princesses as well. Can’t really say much bout Daisy though as she was saved in one Mario game and since then really has been used as a character for sports and party stuff as mentioned and also as someone Luigi is shipped with. She cute though lol.  Now someone who I really found to be the most sad Mario princess and also the one with the most engaging backstory at the time for me as a kid would be Rosalina. Also if you look at her personality wise, she’s lot more chill and laidback than the perky and light hearted daisy and peach. Also she’s super smart as well too. So yeah that aside now lets get to the point, who’s your favorite Mario princess and also which one you would want to see more in the mainline stuff? |

Looking like Princess Daisy has always been one of my "transition goals." I would love to see more games with Daisy in it, especially games where she is the main character. |

Really appreciate the SPM mention and... oh god I still haven't played Super Princess Peach yet... will do along with several other games Trace Memory after I return these library manga, I promise lol Uhhh... | I like Rosalina a lot. I really like her mysterious and aloof demeanour. I play as her in almost every Mario spinoff. Second is Princess Peach. I like her the most in the Paper Mario games where she has more character development. I think her design is way better with a ponytail. As for Daisy I never cared for her. I always associate her with her appearance in MKDD where all she did was say "Hi I'm Daisy", and make ungodly screeching sounds. |

| Rosalina is my favorite of the Mario girls. She has the best and most engaging backstory out of all of them and personally I find her to be the most attractive. She has a rather elegant demeanor and rather chill and laid-back personality (like you said) that makes her give off the Space Goddess vibe perfectly. Smart, great backstory, arguably the most powerful character in the Mario universe, what's not to love about her? Also her inclusion in Smash 4 made me really happy. Peach is a mixed bag for me. I don't like her in the mainline games (at least the ones where she isn't playable) as she's just a damsel in distress with little character. In the other titles, like in Paper Mario and Super Princess Peach, the added character and personality depth really make her feel like an actual character in the Mario franchise instead of being a plot device; same with spin-offs like Smash Bros, where her moveset and taunts grant her an extra bit of personality. Daisy... I have mixed feelings on her-- not because there are things in particular that I dislike about her, but because she doesn't really appear in any mainline Mario games so there isn't much to say. She does appear in the spin-off titles, which I'm really glad she does because they were able to give her plenty of personality. Her being an energetic, extroverted tomboy who'd give up passtimes like shopping for sports training and her having a double jump in Super Mario Run are details I really liked that they gave her. My biggest disappointment aside from her not having a presence in mainline Mario games is the way they implemented her into Smash Ultimate. I'm really disappointed at how little difference there is between her and Peach gameplay-wise and how poorly represented she is in the game. She's just a glorified skin, they did her so fucking dirty. BUT I would REALLY like to see this character come back. She's a spirit in Smash Ultimate which is nice, because Nintendo remembering about past characters is always cool.
