How many of you are actually satisfied with the ending?
I, for one, felt sad at the ending scene.

Extremely satisfied. I love tragedy and depressing endings, this one fits the cyberpunk universe

A happy ending would not have fit the shows tone and themes, a bitter sweet ending is to good to be true in the horrible world of edgerunners and the cyberpunk universe

Super disappointing. Nothing felt suspenseful due to everything happening because of how dumb David is. Characters being stupid to move the plot forward isn't great in my opinion.

a lot of people say that a happy ending is not fitting for the story i understand that but at least give me a satisfying one not particularly happy not just lucy going on a tourist tour on the moon alone like what is next is that just it

Kinda didn't care at all. 10 episodes isn't nearly enough to make me sad for characters.

My problem with the ending is that this is what I expected from the first half of the show. I was hoping that there will be a twist, because of the hype, but nothing.

Yeah it was really sad, but well done, in general the show had potent melancholic and tragic vibes throughout and I thought the last episode was the show’s best, though I wasn’t pleased with what happened to another character that was done pretty dirty, you know the one.

Obviously I was sad too, was hoping till the last moments of Davids fight that he would survive somehow. But knowing this is Cyberpunk and after the music hit in the last episode I also knew there was nothing stopping the sad ending. It was still executed very well but gave me a small depression for a day or two. Great show.

I wasn't expecting a happy ending (despite hoping for one) but the way they handled the story post timeskip ESPECIALLY that last episode was horrible. David and Lucy's actions or decisions made no sense and weakened the emotional payoff to the point that I couldn't even shed a tear (and believe me I cry over everything). It was all so rushed and over the top chaotic, with too much focus on flashy action over emotional substance.

Nothing is sad about is if its too predictable.

For me at least i think it should've been 2 more episodes, the final was good but i think could've been more impactful, 2nd half felt a little bit rushed imo

Really unsatisfied, like some mentioned above, David's stupid actions lead to the obvious consequences. The problem is that there wasn't even a point on David's actions. What was he trying to accomplish?

If any other studio made this show this would be a mediocre anime. As an action show is amazing, but you have to disconnect your brain if you want to enjoy it.

I think that's the point. David, being a young promising individual has his time cut cut short because of a failing system and influences. It's a good tragedy!

Pretty underwhelming, although that's coming from someone who never played the game and is unaware of the story.

they can't escape in night city, the night city is tooo much conspiracy even brain washing there exist for example, even keep tracking you no matter where you go.

like johnny said, there a city to burn, i mean he literally mean how bad the night city is.

its hell with cyberpunk neon light as camoflages.

I'm satisfied and kinda sad.

Tbh I didn't really liked David that much. When Lucy said to David "I don't want you to die on me" I was like "I don't want YOU to die on me!", but in that scene I knew him or her will die so I'm kinda prepared for it...

so uhh yeah, I think it's a solid/fitting end.

I didnt feel sad, nor feel satisfied. I think this ending are just too edgy, but maybe that what makes this anime different. Tho they show this kind of sign since the start, I kinda wanted some twist at the end. This is not usually what trigger do, I bet they wanted to do something new or just CD projekt rekt wanted this to end like that. Amazing anime with abrupt ending again.
Watch aria the animation and it's sequel.

I don't like how the sad endings are now becoming the trend in most of the good shows . I have no problem with sad gloomy themes any good shows give provided that they work and fit into the overall story but the most crucial piece of any show is its ending. I always hope whenever there is amazing story like cyberpunk with all its craziness and roller-coasters of emotions that this will be the one exceptional to the and have a happy uplifting ending. For once I need more than ever a happy ending to good shows like cyberpunk as with all the crazy and depressing stuff happening in the world rn I need something to boost the morale, and I feel like the writers can make it work somehow in a logical way, it may be difficult to do but it is still can be done.

Yet in the end, for me it's one of the very few instances that I have wholeheartedly accepted how it ended because it fit so well with good closure to most characters (except you Rebecca). Also I've not played the game yet but have heard
.

It's a satisfying ending for me. Ain't no way around Cyberpsychosis. So I think it was best that David died being himself. I've played the game and even a year later, Cyberpsychosis is a big deal and there's still no cure (V even helps a fixer turn in Cyberpsychos alive so they can do more research).

Since I've played the game, I actually knew of David having a drink in The Afterlife. Night City eats you up. and

Spoiler for Cyberpunk2077 game
