Do you think that One Piece will be the highest rated anime on MAL once it ends (eventually)? I think it's likely because of the 1/5 rule.
How likely you think that it would be the highest rated anime once it ends?
| I've been hearing that One Piece might be ending soon, (Well, soon might be a long time because this is One Piece.) and it reminded me of MAL's 1/5 rule. The rule states that "Scores from users who have not viewed 1/5 of the series upon its completion are not included". Since One Piece isn't complete, the rule doesn't apply, but once it ends, you'll have to watch at least 1/5 of the episodes in One Piece to count. We don't know how many episodes One Piece will have, but it will have to be over 205 episodes at the current episode count. I don't know about you, but if I watched 205 episodes of something, I definitely liked it. |

| Perhaps. Seeing as how most One piece fans such as myself who have devoted an extreme amount of time to catch up to the anime view it at a high standard. There's always the case of idiots like that one guy whose name will not be spoken of but has the username of a female character in AOT who criticizes the anime and manga at every opportunity but has read every single chapter and watched almost every single episode to keep up with the lore. |

| I don't think so, because even big One Piece fans might not rate the anime as highly as the manga because of the pacing and production issues |

| Hell no. If it isn't the highest rated anime already, why would it be in the future? One Piece might be one of the greatest manga of all time, but the anime isn't even in the same league. |
| The reveal of the One Piece will make or break the series. With the reveal of Raftel, actually being a misspeak (which probably occurred from the name being passed around as a rumor), and the true name being Laugh Tale, we learned that the One Piece (as in the treasure) is basically a funny story (which most likely has to do with the events from the void century), and I think how that story plays out will truly decide the fate of the story as a whole. |

Raftel and Laughtale are both correct. It's just a wordplay which was overlooked for years in the west. I meant, logically, within the world of the story, the reason why we would have both "raftel" and "laugh tale" as names is because of something like the reasoning I provided. Additionally, they are not both correct, Laugh Tale was definitively shown to be the true name--Raftel was used with a different kind of Kanji that was less definitive, which is why people believe it to be a made-up word and not the name we now know to be correct. Similarly to how when the series started the opening referred to Roger as "Gold Roger" not "Gol D. Roger"; lore-wise, this is actually to do with the fact that the world Government went out of their way to hide the fact that Roger was one who "carried the will of D". |

| The poor pacing alone puts it outside of the top 50 anime adaptations of all time. The manga is a different story though. |
