| This season was really good, nearly equal to the first. My main issue was that it took so long to get here given that I found seasons three and four to be more lackluster. In the end though this season did manage to push things back in balance given the time investment. I'm pleased. S1 >= S5 > S2 > S3 = S4 Off to the final season I suppose. |
| It was so beautiful to see everyone playing again and kid goro talking to adult goro T__T And it was a great choice to play the first opening at the end and not the fifht one, it fits so well to that ending |
| This season has been a blast,easily the best. And it wrapped up beautifully with Gorou getting his motivation and fun for baseball back. |

| So ends this journey and it was easily the best Major season ride! After season 4, I was pretty much going to give up on the series because it was fowling the same dry formula, but I am so happy I changed my mind. The story telling, the reality of the games, and the Gibson/Goro showdown that we've been waiting for came to fruition this season! What a damn great build up. Had I been watching this show when it was coming out weekly, I probably would appreciate it that much more! Best season by far! 10/10. |
| I see everyones putting their rankings up. I think I'll wait until I finish s6 before I list mine but s1 is def the best still. I found this season to be really enjoyable. And I'm so glad Gibs jr won against Goro. They cant be rivals if Goro always win. They need that back and forth to push each other. I could really see this as a good way to end the anime I wonder what they could do in s6. I hope we get a timeskip next season. I'd like to see a 30 year old Goro whos had some more experience take over the mlb. |
| Excluding the last episode of the match between Japan and USA, this season is the best of the series. Anyway, that episode is very bad, I wish the match could have a better ending. |

| the goro's friends lousy friends gave me a huge LOL. they bit rushed the conclusion for goro getting over but they made it beautifly. too bad they didn't made another shimizu&goro moment before the end, but focusing only at goro is fine as it is. now about the season, i believe my favourite so far, there's a few bad episodes here and there, but even those were better than the S4 bad episodes, so far this season and S1 were the best, i can't wait to see S6!! |
| Fantastic end, with the gang enjoying some fun baseball, to whats in my opinion the best season so far mostly compared to s2~4. It was cool seeing the matches with high-level baseball and also the great character development like Goro finally learning a breakball technique (Gyrofork), Kaoru's romance, Gibson fullfilling his promise and other stuff. |

 In most cases, the MAL Average Scores don't mean anything, here is a question: were the works made before 2000 all shit? Why are they so damn scarce in the Top 50? Think about how MAL is quite literally a filtered amount of the Anime fanbase. Here's a timeline of the Top 15 in which you can check that, almost always, the scores are affected by the freshness, popularity and other factors that have nothing to do with quality. |
| You know judging by how this season was going, I thought that Kaoru would like hug him from behind with her say something like: “then now on pitch for me.”, and then they kiss (or something cheesy like that). I’ve been watching too much romance anime lmao. But yeah, the resolution is more in line with a typical shonen sports manga and seeing kid Goro again was nice. This season was just pure fan service for the fans; such as the Goro&Kaoru moments, and having the cast reunite again, and Goro finally facing Gibson. Though the {amazing} CG stadium crowds make their appearance again, but at least they’re a bit better than the ones in season 4. Hopefully, SynergySP ironed out the poorly rendered CG and stadium crowds for the next season. Anyways onwards to season 6. |
| It was extremely amusing to see Goro get his passion for baseball back by crushing his friends in a sandlot game at the end of the season lmao. |
